Cost of freebag (Tell me this is a joke!!!)
ypelchat replied to goose491's topic in Gear and Rigging
Absolutely ! I've imported parachuting equipment from the USA, and all I can say is that customs brokers are a bunch of sharks. Sometimes, the brokerage fees cost more than the imported goods. Like you said, NAFTA is a farce. Yves. -
Ted Nugent to Manifest please . . . Yves.

In fact, VW quality has sharply decreased, and sales have been plummeting (not to say they are in freefall) in North America, since VW decided to build cars in North American and South American plants (Westmoreland PA, Brazil and Mexico) I have owned a VW Rabbit diesel, made in Germany (never had a single problem with this car), and a Golf diesel, made in Westmoreland PA (Which I sold after only six months, because the car spent more time in the garage than on the road). VW will have to improve quality if they want to have me as a customer again. Right now, i'm looking for a nice MB black SLK 320. Yves.

German cars, no longer german eh? Yves.

Nahhh ! german cars are made in Mexico nowadays. They're not what they used to be (VW). Yves.

I love most meats. Antelope, aligator, beef, bison, boar, capon, catfish, chicken, clam, conch, crab, duck, elk, jack, kangaroo, lobster, mussel, ostrich, oyster, pheasant, pork, quail, rabbit, salmon, shrimp, snail, snapper, turkey, tuna, venison. Baked, braised, broiled, BBQ'd, fried, or roasted. When I see raw meat I think about eating it - my favorite foods are sushi and steak tartare. Carpachio and ceviche are nice too. I dislike most vegetables and many fruits. I agree 100% ...... well 90% Yves ( Who likes all vegetables and fruits )

You'll have to download and install "Spybot". You'll be surprised at the amount of garbage this program will remove from your computer. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/features/index.html Yves.

Me too! I prefer when the meat is cooked ! Just kidding. There's nothing like a nice charbroiled T-Bone, done to perfection. PRICELESS Yves.

The metal backplate may cause the LCD to crack if you tighten the wrist strap too tight. The newer Neptunes ship with a different wrist strap, without the metal back plate. Yves.

Unexpected Paragear catalogue...
ypelchat replied to jjiimmyyt's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My guess is that they purchased the USPA's, or CSPA's mailing list from both organizations. I haven't purchased anything from Paragear in a long time, and also got a catalog in the mail. My .02 cents. Yves. -
I buy my earplugs from them: http://www.labsafety.com/store/product_group.asp?dept_id=12675&parent_id=10456 Yves.

I'm a musician too (bass), and have been experiencing the same problem you're having now. I no longer play with a band, but i still play bass on occasions, and when I do, i use calibrated ear plugs, in order to limit the sound level that get to my ears. It takes a while to get accustomed to playing with earplugs, but my ears are no longer ringing after a jam session since i've been wearing these. Percussive sounds are especially damaging to the ears (drummers). Yves.

Ex-freekin'-cuse me?!? "Cheney Blames Democrats for Gas Prices"
ypelchat replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
The perfect solution to sever our oil dependency, while maintaining our ability to go to the DZ everyday. Drive the newest Mercedes-Benz! The ultimate gas guzzler killer! Geez, you can even bring you rig with you ! No laugh. This car will be sold in Canada beginning september 2004. Only the turbo-Diesel version will be sold. The car is surprisingly roomy...for a two seater. Don't expect Ferrari like performance out of this car though, as the turbo-diesel engine put out only 40 Hp. They're still not officially on sale, yet they're all sold already......... http://www.smart.com/-snm-0135137740-1091554901-0000025026-0000000000-1091592614-enm-is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/mpc-ca-content-Site/en_CA/-/CAD/SVCPresentationPipeline-Start?Page=issite%3a%2f%2fsmart-Site%2fsmart%2ecom%2fRootFolder%2fsmart%2fmodelle%2fsmartcitycoupe%2epage Yves. -
Here in Canada, we have a beer called "La fin du Monde" (the end of the world, in english) that has like 10% alcool. With this beer, you don't have to drink a river to get drunk! Yves.

Yup! Done. Yves.

Being 40 doesn't hurt! At 42, I guess it's time for me to get my pops membership. Yves.

This spring, i bought a Linksys wireless kit, on Ebay. The kit has a PCMCIA wireless card, and a wireless router. I set-up the kit last night, and now I am sitting in my backyard, about 100 feet away from the router, and i'm enjoying the sun, while browsing the internet. Yves.

There was a bad batch of Pro-Dytters (early production) that ate batteries. E-mail L&B. They will probably send you a replacement. Yves.

This is good news for potential buyers in North America. They expect to assemble 100+ aircraft/year at this new plant. Yves. -
