  2. I dont know about you guys, but Id really like to see a gallery of Adrians pictures that he has taken over his skydiving career. I have maybe 20 pics or so from my 50ith that I would like people to see. I belive that his photography was amongst the best that I have seen. Let me know if there are any web sites that we can post onto. Matt www.myspace.com/durtymac

  5. I seen this chap at a gig who stood on a Tesla coil and projected lightning from his body by the means of a long pole and a wire suit. The suit acted like a faraday cage. The lightning was shooting off of his head arms and pole. Pretty amazing sight to see. Ill try and dig out some pics. www.myspace.com/durtymac
  6. 2 shadows = 2 lights. Varying degree of shadow = 1 light brighter than the other. You ever watched a footie match at night? Lighting is normally in each corner of the stand. The players will have four shadows at 90 degs to each other. www.myspace.com/durtymac

  8. I caught a misrouted bridle similar to Kevins thread. The person had been on a hot load and rushed to get his gear packed. Only on the way to the plane did he ask for a gear check. Now this isnt that normal in NZ to get a gear check. I looked for anything out of the ordinary and spotted the bridle routing was a little differetn. Normally my eyes just see what I expect to see. I told him I wasnt sure of how he had routed his bridle. He had run his bridle along the bottom of the tray and the close the bottom flap up locking the bridle into his tray. He took his rig off and had a quick lok himself. I don think he was expexting a "newb" to spot this. Luckily for him I did. Managed to save him $50 for his reserve repack. Check check check as you pack pack pack. I always check this twice now when I close my rig up. www.myspace.com/durtymac

  14. When I just read this this I thought "oh no another great person has left this sport" and I shed some tears too. I feel sick inside. I had the great fortune to meet Adrian back in 2002 in Sebastian. I had heard about this dude who broke the free fall record was on the dz. I turned around and got talking to this eccentric english skydiver. He asked me how I was doing and how nice it was to see more Brits coming out to one of his favourite dz's. He was full of great advice which I heeded being a virtual noob at the time. I think I had around 35 jumps or so. I spent a little time with him over the week and managed to talk him into letting me go on a "big Way" for my 50ith. It was only an 8 way, but it was my first so It was special. There were a mixed bunch on the load and Adrian offered to take all the pics and vid for me free of charge. I remember a few people on the dive, but what amazed me was how he flew head down around us and with bare feet too. I had never been in free fall with someone head down. I couldnt concentrate on the dive at all. I was more excited about seeing you carve around us with that big flash going off. I was so excited I didnt realise I was sinking out of my own 50ith jump. I left the formation, rolled onto my back and tracked off watching that White, green and orange jump suit whirling around the remainder of the formation. I will post some pics tomorrow. I always thought that you would have gone in on that Da Vinci Parachute jump. Not because it wouldnt of worked but by the lions chewing you up on the African plains.

He is qualified to jump. If you have ever seen a Wally Gubbins video then you will know that his and Per Lindstrams attempts to skydive are on there. Richards Favorite trick was to pull his cutaway first and then his main. I think he may of done this on at least 2 occasions. www.myspace.com/durtymac
  21. I hadnt seen this fact. If that is the case then maybe there is justification. www.myspace.com/durtymac
  22. The trouble is that I have seen pictures of people that were obviously fit and well before the storm floating dead in the mess of the flood waters. One man had died after he had struggled to pulll himself on top of a car. What hope would a 60,70,80 yr old have with senile dementia or Parkinsons diesease? www.myspace.com/durtymac
