It's great to hear of a DZ where dogs are part of the family. How does your Raeford address the obvious issues of unaccounted for dog crap, male dogs lifting their legs on rigs or gear bags, and potential chewers? I just watched my neighbor's super sweet, massive pitbull let loose on an even larger, also super sweet rotweiller who lives next door. Both owners were at fault, the rotty gets out all the time bc his owners have crappy fences. The Pit is really gentle with people. A few times in the past when he was off leash and I was walking my much smaller female mutt off leash, he came running up to check us out and I scared the shit out of him by yelling "back off." Anyway, he grew up and got nasty and his owner walks him thru the neighborhood on a huge chain. However, tonight, as the rotty was off leash and both dogs are uncut, the pit's owner let him go so as not to get caught between them. The screams were horrifying. Christiaan and I ran out, aimed a hose on them but nothing would make the pit let go. Eventually I yelled at his owner about calling cops and he got the chain in the pits mouth, pulling him off. We told both owners to fix their problems or we'd bring the authorities in. The pit is uncontrollable when he gets going and had that been my dog, she'd be dead. No more off leash walks for us. The rotty shouldn't have been out and perhaps the pit would have been controlable had the rotty not run right at him... Sooooooo that long story to ask - should I call animal control? I do NOT want to because I don't want either dog to be put down. I just want both owners to see the light. Furthermore, the rotty needs to go to the hospital tonight and I know for a fact the owner won't do it. I told his wife that if I see the rotty tomorrow and he doesn't have stiches, I will definitely call animal control, as that is abuse. Anyway, all threats aside, I can't see risking their lives... am I wrong? What's the consensus? --- www.facebook.com/mandyhamptonfitch

Phat, If you haven't figured it out already, take another paxil. You'll feel better within one hour. I went thru the same thing after my brother killed himself. Paxil to the rescue, and it helped immensely. Felt better, decided I didn't want to be on drugs anymore, stopped cold turkey. three days later I was so dizzy and distressed and suicidal that I called the psychiatrist (whom I'd only ever met once) telling him to send an ambulance. He calmly asked me when I quit taking the paxil. gee how'd you know. Told me to take a pill and call him in an hour. One hour and I was all better. Thing you gotta do is get a pill cutter. Take 3/4 pill for 10 days, half for ten days, 1/4 for ten, then hold your breath and go for it. It's REALLY wrong that they didn't forwarn us. AND I've seen commercials for Paxil or Zoloft that actually say it's not habit forming! Idiots. Anyway, sorry you're going thru all that. I hope this helps.
