OK, as promised, the scar to be (for now it's just a wound...) Turns out there is exactly 15 staples, and the end of it is farther back than I thought. Range of motion, so far, is about 85%. OK, I'm much better today! The pain is under control w/ ibuprofin, so I didn't even fill the vicoden prescription. (I do still have a handfull left from the hospital though ) I'll video changing the dressing tonight, then grab a still or 2 and post em. It took 34 years to need stitches though, and then they didn't even sew! I'm usually a pretty peaceful person, but if I were to catch those kids in the next few weeks, away from here, in the dark........ It's your life, live it! Thanks Jaye. 's are nice to have around. Rosa, I have an idea whom they might be, and they choose this house because of my daughter (who isn't even here tonight.) My wife kinda freaked. I felt the bleeding so immediatly put pressure on my chest w/ my left hand, came inside, walked into the bedroom, and said "get up, emergency room, NOW!" She looked up, saw me holding my chest and dripping blood.... Well, she freaked, but I made it ok. I told her I could drive myself, but she drove. (I did drive home though....) It's amazing how quick you get service in the ER when you walk in holding your chest and dripping blood.... In and out in less than an hour, including chest X-ray. It's your life, live it! OK, drug hazed story (sorry, no open heart or chainsaws). Lately, a bunch of kids have been doing the "ring the doorbell 5 or 6 times late at night and run away thing." I've been getting fed up. Tonight they graduated to pounding on my bedroom window (where my wife happened to be sleeping). It pissed me off, but when I went outside, they were gone. They were ballsy enough though this time to do it a [/]second time. This time I went outside, and saw them cutting through our backyard to another street (we have ~1.5 acres in the city). I took off running after them, in the dark. My feet got tangled in a flower bed, tripping me up. I came down just north of my left nipple on a 12 inch high old survey stake (read: rusty pipe sticking out of the ground. My forward momentum a line down to my ribs, destroying my chutewear tank (shirt) (I'm REALLY pissed about that.) It looks much better, now, but when I got home I inspected the stake and found lots of my own blood and flies. Had I not been running as fast, the stake would have drove straight in, and (hopefully) people would start planning my ash dive.
