i kept getting that, and just clicked ok every time, right clicked again, clicked save as, and it would resume where it left off. Took 40 or 50 connects, but it eventually finished. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Get a container man! Nothing beats a properly fitting container, trust me, I know, after going far too long with one that had too small of a harness! Reserves can be found in the classifieds, as well as useable mains for pretty cheap (my Cricket 145 reserve was $349). Once you have the container, the rest is easy. If you don't get it now, you'll be kicking yourself, having this new canopy, and nothing to use it in. It's your life, live it! Yep, that's rght about W2000. Micro$oft finallly fixed most of the memory leak problems they had in NT. The only time I shut down is for a hardware change. Pretty much pissed me off to see no power light on the case when I got home. Update: 392/400, almost there. Hope I get a smaller work unit this time! It's your life, live it! I uninstalled aim here, and reinstalled. Same message. I uninstalled, removed registry keys, reinstalled, same crap. Tried the laptop and it worked fine, so i removed it once again, keys and all, and installed Trillian. It's your life, live it! I have no idea exactly how it works, but i removd all traces of aol im on this system, right down to the buried registry keys, installed Trillian, and I'm back up and running. I knew something wasn't kosher when i tried to log on to aim from my laptop, and it let me.... It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Aarrgghhh. I missed it! That's ok though. After many, many times of trying, and quite a few times doing it myself here at home, I finally got my first supervised pack job signed off! My rigger was going to pull it apart (his Voodoo) after I was done, but after watching me finish it up, said hell no, he's leaving it alone! Woo Hoo! All that and possible jumps this weekend.....here comes BEER season! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Strange part too, when i registered this screen name some time ago, I used my real birth date, and I'm 32! I sent a nice email, but it looks like I'm going to be staying away from them now. I was considering them for my dial up isp while I'm on the road, for the sheer volume of available numbers, but now I think I'll stick with my 14.4 sprint pcs phone. It's your life, live it! Oops, sorry 'bout the misunderstanding there Mark. I meant once per marriage. As I said, I'm not worried about the hassles, fees, nada. Scotty, Tami, and the WFFC in general
RevJim replied to RevJim's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey everyone! I posted this over in Talkback, but realized there are many people that don't even bother with it. I respect that, and ask for comments on this. I've been thinking about something since the WFFC 2002 in Rantoul. Everyone that was there and many that were not know about the wedding of Scotty and Tami. How many of you remember them repeatedly calling over the pa system for skydiving Reverends? It seemed almost constant. For some time, every time I saw Tami, she said the same thing: "Are you sure you can't marry us?" Each time it pained me to tell her that yes, I could not marry them. Laws vary from state to state, and county to county within those states. From what I could remember, Illinois required the registering of credentials pryor to any weddings being done. Sure, I could have married them, and hoped for the best, but how upset would they have been, how sour would that day look if I went to turn in the marriage certificate, only to find it would not be accepted? Even worse, what if 10 years down the line they found out the marriage was not legal? I was origianlly planning on doing a wedding in Rantoul, but the groom of the couple in question decided that sanity was not for him. Well, after that, I never bothered to register in Illinois. I have had a few interesting conversations with Beth (Snowwhite here), and she liked my idea. According to her, it sounded good to others of the staff, though I'm not sure who all she told about it. Here's what I was thinking. Would it be a good idea to have a section of the WFFC, possibly even a webpage link or email address, for weddings? As many people know, the success of any wedding lies in the planning, and I would be willing to answer any and all questions in these matters, as would Beth. I am also willing to make sure my credentials are registered so that the problem that Scotty and Tami had never has to manifest itself again. I'm being quite serious here people, and would appreciate some serious replies, as would Beth. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1 -
Mark, Most people, contrary to your belief, get married once. A ceremony at Rantoul and a legal arrangement later does not make Ranoul the wedding day. You also mention the hassles of the weddings. Well, that's what I'm offering. To take care of the hassle end of the spectrum, give a memorable and legal ceremony. I'm asking nothing for this myself either. I believe anyone seeking happiness deserves it. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
