  1. I've been told by a couple of older members that a few ignore letters addressed to fullboard. If you want results, write the letter as if addressing a single person, go to the uspa website, and Jan's site, and get each person's email address. Bcc the letter to all of them, so it looks like it was just for them. This has yielded much better results for me. It's your life, live it! 5. Pretty much the same as Andy. had one tracking under me, side slipped past his opening canopy, got clear, and pulled. Snatch force sat me up and as I reached for my risers to guide my inflating canopy I saw my altimeter needle drop past 700. Unstowed my brakes, 90 left, 90 left, flare. 1st and last 412 jump. 9. Played Semi Pro for a short time (It was about the same time I was starting skydiving-guess which one won?) I've still got all my crap, 'cause I like to play a little walk on rec once in awhile, for kicks. I'm thinking about bringing a little bit with to Rantoul this year (for their arena). Nothing special, no need to humiliate anyone, just a Spyder TL, Remote system, and downgrade it back to co2. It's your life, live it! 11. Although a nice idea, it wouldn't really be fair to those running old 266's compared to the newer1-2 gigs, not to mention someone who can run it on his servers.... 12. No problem with letting the kids do this an DRE ah. At least you know what they are doing, when they are doing it, and where they are. Beats a bunch of other options, doesn't it? That said, GET THROAT PROTECTION! Don't think about it, DO IT! Masks are standard, but by far the biggest hazard is low shots to the adams apple area. It's your life, live it! 14. Um Friday morning driving back from Indiana to the DZ in Omro I stopped at Arbys (exit 329 on I94 in WI, just so you know where to avoid). Breakfast was pretty much out of the question, as it makes me tired, so I decided on an order of Chicken Fingers and an order of Mozzarella sticks. I was prett much the only one there, and nothing was pre made, so i actually got to se them make it fresh, just for me. Hopped back in the semi, and headed north, munching as I went. Less than a half an hour later, the chicken is gone, and I'm on the last mozz stick. Suddenly something didn't seem quite right. I never finished that stick. By the time I got to Oshkosh (2 hours or so) I was in serious agony. Cramps, nausea, bloating, the works. Stopped in a truck stop in Oshkosh for some Pepto, and chugged it from the bottle. I then made the 10 minute drive from the truck stop to the DZ. Dropped my trailer in Omro, and drove my truck to the DZ. Said hi to everyone, yada yada yada. FOUR hours later I finally felt good enough to get my gear out of the truck and into the hanger. That's as far as it got. I sat at the DZ ALL FRIGGIN DAY, and never got on a load. If I had a jump ticket for every time I was asked if I was gonna jump, well, I could jump all spring for nothing. Remember people, Arbys=Food Poisoning. It's your life, live it! 19. From the USPA SIMs: NIGHT JUMPS SECTION 6-4 B. QUALIFICATIONS 2. Participants should complete a comprehensive briefing and drill within 60 days before the intended night jump. a. The training should be conducted by a Safety & Training Advisor (S&TA), Instructor Examiner, or USPA Instructor. b. The training (including the date and location) should be documented in the jumper’s logbook and signed by the S&TA, I/E, or USPA Instructor. It's your life, live it! 21. Ahhh, canopy ride stuff. You're right, the 300 would be plenty for that. I assumed you meant freefall formation pics from underneath, where an 800 wouldn't be overkill, and a 1000 would be cool, just really, really heavy. It's your life, live it! 22. An extremely difficult thing you just proposed there. You need a really freaking big lense, a moinster tripod to hold the weight, and lightling quick reflexes to keep them framed and take pictures. Let me guess.....you watched Cutaway?
