Have a great time! Great country, nothing to be afraid of really. Just don't be too picky... Bidies, Paan, Thali, Kingfisher... mmm mmm.... I too would go back there anytime! In fact, the next trip is planned for January. Went there last in 98/99 winter. Only planetickets and my backbag. Of course if it's not only for leisure, you might see a bit different kind of India than I did. Anyhow, I really fell in love with the country and the people.. (and the cows too!) Greetings from Finland... Jan

GT (Gin and Tonic) seems to be the hard booze choice at our DZ here in Finland... and yeah, the blue bottle is my favourite too! The Sapphire that is...

Hello! Looking at the topic I just had to take a look at this. How did you find this?! Heh... it's from an finnish comedy show, dating back maybe 4 years or something, called "Kummeli". This scene is pretty amusing, but for us finnish (language AND humor) understanding people there were imho lots of better ones also. I mean the show wasn't entirely Aziz... (if I remember right this wasn't the only time Aziz appeared in this comedy serie though..) Brought back some great moments... Greetings from Finland, Jan

Hello! The picture that was attached to the first post in this thread... makes me think... the topic, "Why we are here"... Have you ever thought why did those things described in the picture happen? Why were 'they' 'there' ? Just for the fun of it? don't think so...

the truth about france, Chirac ignores global atrocities in power pursuit
jannu replied to bodypilot90's topic in The Bonfire
Hello! When you think/say that UN is useless, I assume you only think about the SC.. That's not really all there is... Think, WHO, UNICEF, ILO, UNCHR, FAO, IAEA, ICAO... just to name few.. All these organizations are doing really important things in the world WE ALL live in. So it's not useless if France decided that war should be avoided... you know what I mean bean.. -
USNavy catch/release program concerning terrorists
jannu replied to konradptr's topic in The Bonfire
yep you're right... kind of.. It's the same thing as lots of people think when they dump their old motor oils underground at the backyard or the desert or whatever.. "Like this small quantity is going to do any harm..." As much as I like skydiving (hey! 5 jumps ) it every once in a while occurs me that it's polluting the air we breath.. Kinda like the thing with ciggies... wouldn't want to pollute the air also non-smokers around me are breathing... -

Letter from Marine In Iraq 'To The Great City of Chicago'
jannu replied to bodypilot90's topic in The Bonfire
Hello again... I already decided not to contribute to these war threads anymore but changed my mind.. Seems that some of you really can't see the other side of things... So... again, I might be a little harsh by saying this, BUT! Say, someone somewhere told "his boys" to take a couple of aircrafts, fly them to some other country, take down few buildings, this way sending his boys to the battle, killing a lot of enemies... Is that illegal??? The way you think mister, nope. In my mind this is an awful thing to do, but you think it would be ok? And I think "if this would have happened" the leader got the approval from his "congress", but not from the international community (be it UN for example). Get my point? Nothing personal, and still I'm very sorry for all of you who lost your loved ones in an event like described above. Still.. you really think after this war people will start to like YOUR regime or the way you think? I don't think so. The terrorism thing won't ever be won by starting a war where ever (else but not on your turf and soil) you think it's good thing to protect your nation and its freedom. Sorry, just my thoughts. I wish this conflict will be over soon, with no more casualities (civilian nor military). Greetings from Finland, Jan ps sorry for bad spelling and grammar also... -
Hello all! I think the thing is that they really have not forgotten this. Vice versa, I think a lot of them really remember how horrible and frightening the war was, especially when it is fought on your own turf and soil. You get my point? . They probably don't want anyone to have this feeling... Greetings from (neutral) Finland, Jan

Hey! As "funny" as this survey is, the designer/writer didn't bother to check which of these aircrafts are made by McDonnell Douglas.. I'm sure you others spotted the same mistake. I don't know about the other possible mistakes in this but I'm really only interested in the aircrafts.. btw, this has been around for a long time in the mighty net, thank god for spam.. Greetings (and apologies for bad spelling/grammar) from Finland, Jan

Hmmm.... it seems there are millions (billions?) of people wondering this around the globe. It´s funny that George and Tony close their eyes in front of these huge demonstrations all over.. I'm sorry for you americans (and probably brits too) that like someone already posted, it's not safe for you anymore anywhere in the world. You better not tell anyone your from the States if you travel.. Too bad since I got family in States also that I like to see... but because of your not-so-clever 'leader' Bush, I am afraid that someone will attempt to terrorize transatlantic flights and all that shit... ahh It also bugs me A LOT that rebuilding Iraq, will be done with my tax money. Of course we will have to help the civilians (and everyone else living there..) to get back on track with their lives after some xxx decided that 'let's bomb their infrastructure, homes, hospitals schools bridges etc..'. I know it's very inhuman what I'm feeling, but for some crazy reason it kinda feels good to hear from news that there is big resistance against Us & Uk troops. Just too bad the media isn't allowed to show you US people the pictures of the corpses and POWs in tv... I'm sure though that propaganda pics of dead/captured iraqis are shown in you tellies... Mr. Bush could shove the Geneva convention where the sun don't shine. What about the people captured from Afganistan`??? Shown in tv, in very bad conditions etc... what about the Geneva convention? We get this stuff on tv here in Scandinavia. hmm... that was some mindflow, just been watching BBC news all morning... somehow biased news I think... Of course, I do not believe everything said from the Iraqi side either! I haven't been able to see CNN news, I'd like to know their opinion on things... I could imagine FOX news to be really patriotic (war-crazed). So good night United States, hope you are sleeping well when you know your troops are killing more and more civilians. Today I will start the season, it's +10C sky is clear. Blue Skies, BD. And sorry for my bad spelling and grammar, I guess you get my point. Take care, let's all just hope this is over soon and your leaders (George and Tony) will soon realize there is no way to stop people hating you by killing their countrymen. AND!!! For you suggesting to attack France and Russia... get real. It might be that your troops won't manage to get over even the (poor) iraqi troops. Huh huh.... Greetings from Finland, Jan

Billvon.. yeah I know. Sorry about the generalization (spelling really bad.. ). What I meant is.. for as long as there are these weapons (be it any country at all) it's quite strange to use this as one of the reasons to attack this country (Iraq)... I really hope there will be no casualities, guess there already are, no civilian nor military. Ahhh.. I don't know how to explain... Well, many of you know what I mean. BTW... how many of you 'pro-war' people have ever left your country? I get this silly feeling after reading many of the earlier posts in this thread. Nothing personal though, I still think everyone has a right to express their thoughts... peace & love ps. I really wish you americans and british safe living in the next months... I'm quite sure there will be a lot of attempted (terrorist?) attacks against you. There's no way to stop these by starting a new war everytime someone from a different country does something...
-
A sad day... who are you guys gonna attack next? How 'bout disarming your country? Why are other countries not allowed to have weapons of mass destruction except US&UK ? hmmm makes me wonder. Yeah... a flame bait I know.
-
Hmm... yeah looking for trouble for sure. Propaganda time!!!

Hey! it sure is nice music.. been playing it in parties for umm.. 7 years now. In Goa also, it was a different kind of experience BTW, it's not a city in India, it's a state called Goa on the western coast. Ever listened to finnish tracks? Blue Skies!

I DO believe, that people with this kind of possibility do KILL people. Just, who are you talking about? Yourself? Hope not... Without who? You? People killing people? Ok, this is already offtopic, but why do you guys have such a thing as "the death row?" If someone killed someone, it won't bring back the lost even if you kill the murderer. Nor will it make future murders not happen. Same thing with revenge by means of war. So, the twin towers went down, you think now after (and during) the "war-on-terrorism" people are really going to quit hating each others? I think (I mean I'm afraid) that there will be even more terrorist acts to be seen... I sincerely hope you understand my posts are not written to offend anyone. As I said, everyone has a right to think what they want. But remember, "everyone" means also "the terrorists." They are also human beings, they don´t kill people/themselves just for the fun of it. Hmmm Take care, take good care of US, I've got a home there too I just wish no more ppl do have to die for it..

Ok, so I see there is some jerking around going on too. nice to see a smile here and there too but.. I was in Finland during the 9/11 and also I was really scared and worried about all my relatives and friends living in US (ofcourse I was really sorry for all the people hurt and in danger, too!). Immediately I made a phone call also to talk about it. I have told this same thing not to only Americans, but to many other nationalities also.. my original reply was not meant to blame you for your love of firepower (or weapons for killing other humans), everyone may or may not like something. It's when you're harming the other with your interests (in this case, killing people with your weapons), then it's not ok anymore.. (shit my english kinda sucks and my thought might not be very clear) Ok, finally to the point. It's not ok for anyone (be it US, Al-Qaida, EU, aliens) to kill each other. Even if "they" did attack you first. So, the answer and solution to this problem... Don't know?!?! One thing I do know.. it's not ok to kill people especially civilians. Maybe there should be some "no-mans land" (on moon?) where all the countries/'isms could go and kill each others soldiers (who have on their on will joined the forces)? No civilians would get hurt.. I admit, this was little over-the-top, but maybe you see what I'm trying to say. Maybe I'll have to edit this post a little later on when I first understand it myself Blue skies!

It's called HEI. High Explosive Incindiary rounds. As you can see....they are very effective. Now you guys know why I liked my job in the Air Force so much... Hello! Umm.. I really can't understand what kind of person would like having that kinda firepower in their use. This is just a sick way of thinking (or maybe it was just a very poor joke?). And also, what was this kind of movie linked here for? A lot of "war-crazy" people in skydiving community? Greetings from Finland anyway, Blue Skies!
