I work for a company that has several different depts...and I manage one of them. The other older women always had a problem with me from day 1...finally I approached them and asked why and one woman told me that she "did not like me" because I am "too confident"...hmm...I was shocked by this...since when is confidence a bad thing? And the funniest part is that half of the time I was faking it because I was the new girl, in the new town, didn't know a soul! trying to keep pace with older (mostly men), and a pretty insecure person on top of all of that (more so because of that)...I mean, I was (am?) totally at a loss, being younger, female!!! and this woman had the audacity to tell me that she didn't like my confidence! I asked her is she preferred that I be a shrinking violet, but if I was, I wouldn't have lasted a week...the company is 98% male, you would think that the women should stick together but even today after 6 months of being there they do everything they can to make me feel like an outsider...but I am still confident in my work and the customer satisfaction reflects that...a point that they refuse to accept...so my weakeness are illuminated in their eyes...

I am 24, 6 months out of a loonng relationship (that counts as a divorce, right?) and I am trying to leave my job...(boss avoids me when I try to give my notice...by Jan I can catch up to him...sneak attack)l...but I am not sure how my 2 babies would do in a camper...Lola and Charlie...my 2 cats...ooohhh...what fun that sounds like...hey, I'm handy and I can cook...

yes, the management here where I work have all agreed on one tip... it's not harrassment unless you're moaning... it seems to work well here

Oh no...I don't think I have made an actual cup of coffee in over a year at least...too lazy...too much work involved. I can barely feed my cats in the morning, never mind measure stuff...

what gets you going in the morning? for me, it has to be some seriously strong coffee, super size it please...or a red bull/cherry coke slurpee (it was an experiment, ok?)...but I can't seem to find that one solid thing...I mean, whenever you need it the most, it seems your coffee turns out watery. And then a few minutes later I am hungry, and I am eating junior mints or something... So what does it for you? p.s....does anyone else subscribe to the word of the day?
