And there we have the PERFECT reply from my bastard child! Thanks baby. Miss you lots! Not as much as my pussy ... but you're just below it on the "miss you scale" ... 'Shell

Thanks to you all. I'm hoping the little black and white dude wanders in here with twigs and crap in his fur saying "WHAT??? I'm a wandering cat!! This is what I do!!" - he's done THAT before! Thanks for your replies. Squeak .. sounds like Garthy is the spittin' image of his dad! 'Shell

You got that RIGHT! Thanks for the laugh!

Thanks Jewels. And THAT would be his look too. Completely.

So, I have a 2 year old cat. Got him when he was about 8 months old. He's totally an outdoor cat. And I'm lucky that I live in a neighbourhood where we all put up with everyone else's pets. Out of a total of 30 houses down the street, across the street and across the alley, 28 homes have pets of one form or another. And they all know my cheeky cat. He's the one that will go into your garage if the door is open (and he's been locked into more than one!). And he's also the one that will enter your house if your door is open and go and sleep with you (my neighbour told me tonight that Teko went and slept on his HEAD the last time he got into the house!). He's a friendly little fella ... But I haven't seen my "Neighbour Watch" (my neighbour's term, not mine!) in 2 days. Which is unusual. He normally comes by around dinner time to say "hi, how ya doin' .. is that my bowl of food ... nice.. a leg to rub against ... oh, look there's my dog ... okay, gotta go down to my "bathroom" ... okay, I'm done, see ya later" But nothing. No black and white cat to be found. And now I'm worried. There's been articles in the newspaper about cats being mutilated on the north side and west end of the City, as well as in a community just north of here. I'm on the south side. But I'm still worried. He's a really friendly cat. I spoke to my neighbours and they're like "Ya know, I normally see him wandering around here. And it's weird because I haven't. Hope he's okay. I'll let you know if I see him." I know no one here can do anything but I guess I just needed to vent. If you're out to lecture about keeping your pets on leashes or in the house, please don't reply. I don't need to hear the "lecture" on keeping your pet poop out of my yard (I could actually lecture on that myself because I'm pretty sure my dog doesn't poop THAT much!). I guess I'm just missing my little black and white buddy. And I hope he's okay. 'Shell

I also traded in my 5-speed SUV for a manual transmission SUV. Works better in stop and go traffic. And it has more cargo space. 'Shell

Like sarcasm, it's just another service we offer. Vent all you like. We'll either support you or call you a pussy. Our call. 'Shell

Happy birthday. And just remember, sometimes your job is really cool.

I have a PC at work. Got an iMac at home a year ago. If I could convince my IT department to let me have a Mac at work, I wouldn't have to deal with my PC anymore (and all the crap associated with it!). And I would be quite happy. All I need to run on my iMac (for work purposes) is on my iMac. No Virtual PC needed. If only ... 'Shell

Wow. Sounds like someone needs a time out. 'Shell

Thanks! I was right from Candice Bergen onto the end. And a few others before that.

Oh, lord, I can't name them all! I wish I could. I think the first one I "recognized" (that I could put a name to) was Mary Pickford (the first one, I think!) and then Marlene Dietrich a ways down ... and then Ingrid Bergman, again a few more in ... the next I knew was Judy Garland ... oh lord, this could go on. As I said, the further in, the more names and faces I knew. WAY cool how one face completely morphed into the next. Kudos to whoever took the time to do that. It really is 2 minutes of the greatest actresses of our time. Apparently morphed from days gone by.

That was AMAZING!! Thanks for the link. And yeah, that would make an amazing screensaver. I tried to name them as they went through (much easier near the end!). Very amazing ... 'Shell

My friend's dog was doing that during LP this year (and prior to LP). According to her vet, it's a nervous condition. She licked the skin RAW on her paw. Vet said to keep it covered whenever possible (she put a boot on her foot) until it healed. If it doesn't heal, they'll keep licking at it. The bandage seems like a good idea but make sure it gets some air every now and then. Good luck with her! 'Shell

Tell the truth... Why did you send/receive flowers last?

PM me an address I can send them to. Maybe, I'll surprise you someday. -

To be honest, I've never received flowers. Sent them though. Last time was when a friend's mom passed away. Reading through these replies, I should send them "just because". Probably means a little more when they're "just because". 'Shell -
Oh. Guess that changes things then, doesn't it. Never mind ... I'll dig through the fridge instead. 'Shell

I can't figure out what to make for dinner here. Can I just come over to your place instead?? 'Shell

Here's one that Star took. There are more here (including pics from the Memorial at the house and other various LP pics) - I think the pics from the house start on page 7. http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/viewthumb/9862278838-1187748939-28437/ 'Shell

Hmmm, there were a lot of fires in Montana too. He would have had to have his keys to get stuff out of the car. I'm pretty sure "Keysel" isn't responsible. 'Shell
