What a WONDERFUL story! Thanks for sharing it! Yep. It's all about the puppy sighs ...
-
My German Shepherd was like that... when she was a puppy and we drove somewhere, she would lay in my lap. Once she was too big for the lap, she'd lay in the middle of the front seat and put her head on my leg... then we'd hear a big puppy sigh....
-
So... are you fetching her this weekend? Holding thumbs & waiting for pics! Haven't heard anything yet. Just waiting ... and hoping ...
-
Yes, that would be the picture, wouldn't it! Her foster mom told me she's currently only about 35 lbs so she'd fit perfectly in my lap!
-
Awwww ... they are so cute! It's so hard not to take them all, isn't it!
-
I received an email from her foster mom last night. She was listed as being in Alberta but she's actually located in Quesnel, BC. Told her that location wasn't an issue (what's a 9 hour drive each way! - my friend and I are due for a road trip anyway!). Just waiting to hear back.

I'm a pretty good cook and have the sparring partner covered. Gym membership ... well, I am SO not acquainted with the gym I actually refer to it as "James" ... 'Shell

So do I! She looks SO much like Herc it made my heart smile!

So, I check the Boxer Rescue website here every now and then and I came across "Bug" on their website. I just submitted an adoption application. I've wanted another Boxer for a while. Crossing my fingers I can get this little girl. I think Herc would like a sister.

Not true. It took a mere 48 hours for a bottle of special Canadian bubble bath to hit the US postal system (I tracked it online) Not my fault it took almost a month to get to the sender (what they did with it before they got it, not something I want to think about ...) 'Shell

Thanks. And yeah, he does like to run! When I get home from work, he bounds out the back door, out on the patio, up the stairs onto the deck and waits for me to open the patio doors. Then runs a circuit a few times like that before he finds the sunny spot on the deck and stretches out in it!

-Actually, the 'proud skydiving mom' moment came later when he hugged a girl's boobies! His coach apologized to the poor girl. Poor Derick and his Autistic lack of social skills!! ....or maybe he's more typical than he lets on...? Awww ... you must be so proud! 'Shell
-
I'll second that! Love my slobbering lap dog!
-
I thought the same thing too ... what a proud skydiving mama she would be! Jaye, how AWESOME for you and your family to participate with Derick in this. Can't wait to see more pics!

The point of this one was that the spell checker will not save you from mistakes. Each of those words was correctly spelled. But still wrong. The company I worked at fresh out of college did a lot of contracts for the federal government's various health care agencies. As such, we used the word "public" quite a bit. Consequently, we found it important to remove the word "pubic" from our spell checker. I sent out thank you letters to groups that had stayed in our residence over the summer. My closing line in that letter: We look forward to hosing your group again next summer! Didn't catch that until half way through the summer! 'Shell

Bought my nieces and nephews (2 of each) an MPIO for Christmas 2 years ago (the boys were 9 and the girls were 11 at the time). Two of them still use them. The other two have bought something else and have "gifted" the ones I gave them to younger cousins. So far so good (then again, I did tell them that if they broke them, they wouldn't get anything from me again!) http://www.mpioamerica.com/Public/ProductInfo.aspx?pid=230 'Shell

Well, being Canadian, I knew Trooper was all about the boys in the bright white sports car! Edited to add a link for those scratching their heads ... http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=KU304Gs3r60 'Shell
