  3. If you don' t have a ton of large stuff, you might want to check into renting a small U-Haul trailer (if your car can tow one). They're considerably cheaper than U-Haul trucks and if you don't have a lot of stuff, it would probably work. Good luck with the move ... 'Shell 'Shell
  4. We funnelled Jean-Guy's ash dive in LP a few years back. Ian ended up "inhaling" a fair bit of the little frenchman when they dumped the ashes. I swear I heard his little girly laugh too ... 'Shell 'Shell
  5. That's 80 SLEEPS, Amazon ... have we not taught you anything ... 'Shell 'Shell
  6. I drive a Grand Cherokee and my boss drives a Liberty ... I'm constantly telling him it's a wannabe SUV and if he was really a man, he'd drive a real SUV. I'm surprised I still work here ...
  7. Apparently this ... the RED NEK - the company my brother used to be part owner in manufactured Jacuzzi bathtubs. This is a 7' galvanized steel water trough that they jetted into a portable hot tub. The water was heated through copper tubes that were put in the fire. We had it up to a rather nice 105oF camping last year. It's the perfect depth too ... sit on the bottom of it and you're up to to your (red)nek in water! 'Shell 'Shell

  12. Hey, chickie! Happy B-day! I didn't know our b-days were so close (mine's today). We shall celebrate in Camp Canada! 'Shell 'Shell
  13. I just saw one of these in the parking lot when I was heading to work this AM. Talk about UGLY ... 'Shell 'Shell
  14. Allow me to help ... http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ and read the news releases. It started as a seizure of property (leased vehicles that weren't paid for), then they discovered the marijuana grow operation, then they obtained search warrants for that, then they went in and found stolen property.
  15. Good. It's nice to see the war-on-some-drugs opressors taking some casualties. Tell that to the families and friends that lost their loved ones. And you should probably do a little research on exactly WHAT transpired that day before you go shooting your mouth off about it being a "war-on-drugs". That wasn't the original reason they were raiding that farm (but of course the media zeroes in on that). 'Shell
  16. Well the camp itself might not be but the border is ... 'Shell 'Shell
  17. You don't need electrical! What are ya ... a girl??? I wouldn't dream of travelling around without the whorehouse red nail polish. In fact, I'll bring Ron his own special bottle of it! CYA my little Amereekan friend! 'Shell 'Shell
  18. Hey Kim! Does this mean you and Ron are staying in "Canada" with the rest of us ... 'Shell 'Shell
  19. lol....one hit a car! The groom snagged a tree??? What happened to the other one? Crashed next to the road???? Too funny.... linz Actually, it wasn't that funny given that the one groomsman was hurt (I was at the wedding). Yes, they had their ERJ's (Cdn equivalent of a Pro-Rating) and went through all the proper channels to do the demo but they used poor judgement (IMHO)when the winds picked up (the facility that hosted the reception is located in a valley next to the river). And yes, the groom snagged a tree, the one groomsman landed next to the road and the other one on a friend's car. The only one to hit the landing area (a parking area left clear for the demo) was the cameraman on the load. And since you asked, the wedding was lovely and the food was great and we did go visit the ailing groomsman and took along some jello shots - just in case! 'Shell
  20. Yep ... it was ... I was at the wedding, um ... a couple of years ago now (Aug 2002 or 2003 ... can't remember) (here in Edmonton). The guy that hit the cars (as luck would have they belonged to some other jumpers attending the wedding) broke his wrist and had some internal injuries as well. He's fine. I must tell Joy (the bride) as she LOVES it when she's on TV (NOT!) ...
  21. Did Amazon just say the F word ... Just get kegs of Lang, Amazon ... kegs will do ... 'Shell (156 sleeps to LP by my count) Oh, if anyone has any Choir Songs to add to the songbook, send them my way. 'Shell
  22. A visiting minister waxed eloquent during the offertory prayer. "Dear Lord," he began with arms extended and a rapturous look on his upturned face, "without you we are but dust..." He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening carefully, for a change!) leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little girl voice, "Mom, what is butt dust?" 'Shell --- I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of some weird religious cult. ...Rita Rudner --- 'Shell
  23. Aw ... sorry to hear about your boxer. They do tend to have some medical issues (especially the white ones). And thanks! He is a cutie. And we didn't crop his ears OR his tail so when he's happy .... you know it! It's hard to believe that a tail can HURT when it whips your leg! Not to mention how many times something has been knocked off the table! He's pretty healthy. The only problem I've had was when he was a puppy, he broke his toe (what would be your ring finger on his left back paw) and I didn't know it. As he got bigger, his claw was growing sideways and it would dig into his other toe. It was pretty painful for him and I had to clip it all time (which he HATED!). Took him to the vet and he recommended trying to remove the claw and if he couldn't do that, he would amputate the toe. Luckily he only had to have the claw removed and he's doing great now (this was back in May). He doesn't spend most of his time on 3 legs anymore (unless he's outside without his booties on and his feet get cold). Of course, that little venture cost $450 but it was worth it to see him happy. Just last night he was bouncing around like a cat - up and down on all 4 legs ... to be honest, it looked pretty ridiculous. 'Shell
  24. He is SO cute. Here's some pics of my boxer, Herc. He turned 3 on Boxing Day! They're great dogs (a little hyper but very loving!) 'Shell 'Shell
  25. He would be a classic Canadian Icon ... Merry Ho Ho 'Shell 'Shell
