Riiiight .. I have a pic of the tattoo at work (but not here) so I'll post that later. It's definitely not a belly button! Oh, jackass ... 'Shell 'Shell

YOU LITTLE SHIT! That's too funny! Wait until I see you NEXT year! 'Shell 'Shell

He was never pissed on. Trust me. I was there. I'm a pretty heads up girl and can pretty much take care of myself (ask anyone) but come Friday and Saturday nite in the last several years, I would NEVER walk back to my camp on my own. Never mind the grabbing and groping that goes on if you try and walk through a crowd of "kids". Have you been to LP??? Unless you have, don't even begin to judge why we don't feel it's safe to walk around alone when the kids get there. Come there and try it and see how you feel. Ever hear the saying 'walk a mile in my shoes' ... try it ... 'Shell 'Shell

Where'd you get that "Candy" pic .. that's my ass! Edit to add: and it's really not that flattering! 'Shell 'Shell

Too bad Turtle broke my handcuffs! Blues, Dave Oh shit ... I forgot who I was dealing with here with the "tie" part ... Beth, do your thing! 'Shell 'Shell
-
And I love you too! Now tie up those "kids" and keep our part ours! "Shell

Sweetie, I don't care that you retired from the bar as long as *I* get to see the girls every year. The only change I've noticed since 1999 is my view is always better now. Blues, Dave Dave ... have I told you today that I love you ... No ..?? Dave ... I love you! And you'll always be in MY better sightline! 'Shell 'Shell

Shit .. I didn't see that as an option so I only answered "yes" ... Damn ... 'Shell 'Shell

The dumb shit on the porch was being watched over very closely when it looked like he was going to upchuck give the man some room folks and even helped to the railing a few times. (rumors) I can say 'true' to that rumour. I was there and yes, we helped him to the railing. Not sure about that but I know we got him a glass of water or two (and a beer ... while we probably shouldn't have, he actuallly never drank the damn thing!) Yes it is. 'Shell 'Shell

Would help if there were no cameras around too, but that's the fault of skydivers too. Not really. Long before the "kids" became a problem, there were many cameras there. Granted they weren't digital (that was invented WAY after I got this old!). I have many a pic of me off the bar pre-digital. Oh lord .. if that statment didn't age me, nothing will! 'Shell 'Shell

That's kind of a big "duh!" You think we haven't noticed the inverse correlation between the number of locals and the number of boobies on display over the years? I certainly have! Blues, Dave Rich and I "retired" after the 1999 boogie .. think there might have been a reason??? 'Shell 'Shell

We're immature (at times) ... we're not assholes. County (or the American equivalent) road ... hard to manage. Although a well placed 'broken' water truck might do the trick! 'Shell 'Shell

You're the best, DORK! We'll put our heads together and think of something. Maybe this year (being's how it was better than past years) is an indication. Maybe it'll get better. Guess time will tell 'Shell 'Shell

His friends and a couple of our friends made sure he made it to a safe place that night. Talk of getting blankies for him on the porch was discussed and we were just going to get them when we found his friends. All was good. 'Shell 'Shell

This is so true! LP is one of the most serene beautiful places, and by far one of the BEST boogies I've ever been to. To have that peace and serenity ripped from under your feet is quite disturbing (especially when it's sexually derogatory). For the most part the vibe of the boogie is very family orientated. It's truly a feeling of oneness with the jumpers and with mother earth (okay call me dorky on that - but that's really the only way I can describe it). I will always promote and attend (god willing) this event!!!! 'Shell

Do share. If you have a good idea to make sure our boogie is safe and we feel secure, I'd love to hear it. Seriously. Not being facetious at all. I've seen it all there. Used to be really fun. Now, not so much but I have to admit, it is getting better. 'Shell 'Shell

It hasn't been 16 years of dealing with this. More like 7 or 8 or so. And yeah, after 8 years of dealing with that type of behaviour, it gets old. When you don't feel safe in a place that you get to feel safe in for 8 out of the 10 days, you get a little cranky. And sorry that Beth had an issue with the "kids". Trust me, I know what that's like and it's not fun. But I do hope things get better. As I said before, this year is better than it has been in years and I did speak to some of the "kids" and they're learning and know that's it's our party and they're just visiting. It just may take a little more time. Hopefully not too much. Nice to see you there! Same time next year?? 'Shell 'Shell

Hi G, but was this the guy, or was he the only available victim, due to his inability to respond. So far all I've heard in this post is rationalisations for cowardly behaviour Yes he was causing problems in the bar earlier. If you have a better idea to contain the problem, I'm all ears. Seriously. Ya know, had that picture of him had a set of boobies in it, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Believe me. We've tried everything to keep the peace. I suppose we could have gotten "violent" instead of drawing on him and taking pictures. Next time I shall crop pictures better for the masses. 'Shell 'Shell

He just might. Actually I hope he does. His buddies found it funny when we managed to round them up to take him home. They laughed and said "he got what he got for passing out." Like Livendive said, they were better behaved this year compared to previous years. We can hope. But I still got groped. But that might have been Turtle. 'Shell 'Shell

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Here's the "mentality" of the people involved. I've been going to LP for 16 years now, as have most of the other people that are tired of these locals. It used to be a great party. It used to OUR party. Over the years (mostly post 25th anniversary) the "locals" as we call them (actually underage kids from Kalispell) have managed to rain on our parade and take over what used to be a fun, skydiving event. Over the last several years, women have had to deal with the "grab and grope" by 3 or 4 of these Kalispell kids when they're trying to get out of the bar (or anywhere, for that matter). We've had to drag coolers full of water up the hill to put out a fire before it took over the valley. We've woken up Sunday morning to find food strewn from one end of the runway to the other. We've found our coolers full of booze up in the hills with the drunken kids, along with broken camp chairs and other vandalism. We've had Crack Choir (an institution in the Prairie) drowned out by these darling "kids". It's our party and we just want it back. We were juvenile by drawing on this young lad? Absolutely. Could it be considered humiliating what we did to him? Absolutely. But after you've spent years and years trying to reason with them, breaking up fights or diffusing the situation so there wasn't a fight, putting up with being groped by some drunken idiot because he thinks it's okay to do it because he's heard there are "boobies" here, you end up tired of trying so hard to be the "bigger person". Did we stoop to their level of maturity by drawing on the kid, sticking a dick in his face and posting pictures? Yep. Sometimes I guess you have to do what you have to do to get a point across. It's gotten to the point that as a woman, you can't even walk into the bar some nights unless you bring your own body guards. You don't go to the bathroom alone (although with the new bathrooms, you can actually take 10 of your closest friends) and you CERTAINLY don't even consider walking back to your camp at night unless you take a posse with you. Perhaps by humiliating one person, we managed to keep 50 others from acting like idiots and ruining our party, especially when next year is the 40th. Like Livendive said, this year was actually better than previous years for the locals behaving. I don't recall any fights or hearing of any thefts. They were actually better behaved. Maybe our little "art class" early in the week sent a message to the rest of them for later in the week. Then again, I guess we could subscribe to the "laws of Montana living" and just shoot 'em before they get down the road. But where would the fun be in that. 'Shell 'Shell

I know ... I tried to feel bad but I really couldn't ... he did get helped to his car ... eventually ... There are unwritten rules about passing out in LP 1. Don't pass out on the porch. EVER* 2. If you plan on passing out, try and at least make it to the lawn. You MAY* be safe! 3. If you make it to the ditch, you're pretty much safe!* * If you take your shoes off in any of these situations, it is proof enough that you tried to get to your bed and you are safe. 4. DO NOT PASS OUT IN THE BAR -- EVER! Even without shoes, you are NEVER safe! Even if we like you! 'Shell 'Shell
