I got nothing. Maybe you are allergic to your bedding, as zipp0 said. Try washing your sheets and blankies and turn down the heat in your house. That might help. Or maybe you just have a cold that won't go away and it's just a coincidence that you felt better yesterday and you're feeling worse today. Can't hurt to try it. Hope you're feeling better.

Thanks, Michele. Yeah, Herc is pooping just fine. I've had to clean off his tail a few times already! I've always called him "Pooper" anyway ... guess that name "sticks" now! I'm sure he'll be fine. But it's kind of sad to see him try and sit down (he LOVES to back into your leg if you're sitting on the chair with your leg crossed in front of you and sit down on your ankle). At least he's used to circling several times before he lays down!

... and it's SO sad. I'm used to him wagging his tail all the time and it certainly tells me what kind of mood he's in (it's not cropped so it's close to a foot long). I think he slipped on the ice on the stairs last night and came down on his tail. He came in the house and his tail was hanging straight down. I tried to check it but he yelped and wouldn't let me look at it. That was about 1am and since he seemed fine and curled up in bed with me, I figured I could wait until today to see what was up. My friend's lab did the same thing a few years ago on the dock at the lake in LP so I figured he might have as well. Same thing this morning but at least he let me look at it. A bit swollen and you can almost see a bruise under the fur (although he's white and has black spots on his skin so it was kind of hard to tell). On my travels today to get groceries, I stopped by the vet to see if it was more than just a bruise. The vet came out to the car and checked him out and said "Yep, sprained it. Not much we can do. Just let him rest and it'll heal itself." I'm glad that's all it is. But it's strange not seeing his tail curl up when he's being "thoughtful" and wagging like CRAZY when he's happy. Can't wait until it's healed and he can smack me with again when I come in the door! 'Shell

Since they're new, and you now have toe nail scratches, I'll have to assume you bought cheap hardwood. That you probably installed yourself. Purchasing a better quality flooring and having it installed properly would have prevented this. This is your fault entirely. Have you thought of card games that require adding? Like Crib? That's how I learned to add and subtract. It was a fun way to do it. Or some board games or other games. Like Yahtzee. If you (or someone else) can spend some "free time" playing games like that with him, he won't even know he's doing math! Just a thought. Good luck to him!
