  1. If the run on guns tell you anything, anything at all, it's about the prospects of the loss of rights, not gaining any rights. For your information there are more people buying guns who never thought about owning a gun before now, due to thinking their rights to buy a gun will become severely compromized. You never think about the rights you do have until they're threatened to be taken from you. Just because you don't need the right doesn't mean everyone else doesn't need it.
  2. I think the problem here is too many liberal moderators who might stay out of conversation they know little about. There was no run on guns until OBama got elected. Now that he's been elected a second time, in combination with a disaster, and proposed bans, and restrictions on guns, there is a run on guns. Pointing fingers about who is to blame for the run on guns is pointless eventhough mainly it's the prospect of a ban that causing people to hoard guns. Facts are AMERICA's RIGHTS ARE BEING EROADED. That's a fact. That's a fact we all can agree on. The less rights we have and the more taxes we have will put us right back to the 1700's where we were dominated by a tyrant who taxed us, and restricted our rights. That is a fact. You have the right to free speech so it's not for me to tell you to keep your mouth shut. Coorespondingly, I have the right to own a gun and until that right is gone, you don't need to tell me what gun I should have. Guys, it makes no sense to talk to the anti gun as they simply don't understand. This conversation go Waaaaay beyond a 30 roiund mag AND A SCARY LOOKING GUN. I HAS TO DO WITH FREEDOM.
  3. The left are causing the run on guns as they're advocating ended guns. So people want to get in for the grandfathering before the ban. Believe me many democrats are buying guns if you can get them as there's such a backlog at the state, and feds waiting for all background checks to go through that people say there's no background checks. AHHHH but your strawmaning again aern't you. Just because you don't like guns doesn't mean no one should have them.
  4. I learned the NBC TV affilate camera crews were in Annapolis today but never covered gun rights protest to this bill. They did however cover pit bull owners rights taking place around the corner. The liberal medai is anti gun.
  5. It would not be typical to take out a flush cyl and replace it with an extended. The trainer didn't know what he was doing by installing a cyl choke in any skeet gun. He'd have better chances with tighter choke as more pellets would be available in the pattern. But as you say this could have happened, as well as many other examples. Percentage Of Shot Inside 30″ Circle CHOKE 20 Yds 30 Yds 40 yds Cylinder 80% 60% 40% Skeet 92% 72% 50% Improved Cylinder 100% 77% 55% Modified 100% 83% 60% Improved Modified 100% 91% 65% Full 100% 100% 70%
  6. Sorry, thought you were refering to the link I posted which was from the WP. Yes the original like was WT.
  7. [url] It doesn't! But it's a great strawman. Now you can make up an entire argument with yourself that you can handily win. The argument that your rabble rouser is clearly won. End of argument.
  8. US citizens are fair game you say. OK, I hear you are visiting AQ websites and that means you are siding with the enemy right here in the US. Watch your back. You guys having never lived in a communist controlled area or country don't have a clue what an authoritative power can do, make up or invent. Thats what is scary.
  9. The source is Wasington Post, even more liberal than the paper you cited.
  10. You missed my point which means you doot even understand the argument you are trying to make. Very little student loan debt is securitized into a debt instuments. Unlike the mortgage debt where a large amount was securitized. its been established you are clueless on this topic but now I'm doubting your reading comprehension. My point was not at all complicated. You made a point: you said debt instruments are not dollar to dollar. I don't think you have a clue how much college debt is turned into securities. According to jet blues balance sheet they own a half billion in college debt securities and they are only one firm. When you profess to know a lot about money, you never support what you say with facts. You generalize. Even to the point that college tuition debt is not a problem. If it's not a problem then tell us why: for readers edification.
  11. Billvon is a http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rabble-rouser You say it is dark outside and Billvon will say: pending where you are standing. So then you have to enter into a conversation with him to qualify, what dark means, and when it's experienced. Then he cuts one thing out of what your typing and do the same inferring you mean something else. When he knows damn will you mean it's dark outside. We call it: Never giving you a straight answer. TAlking in circles. Since when does putting better locks on school doors an attempt to sell more guns--Billvon"s allegation. And his bringing up spoons clearly demonstrates his faulty attempt to prove any point if you can figure out what point he's trying to make.
  12. Sure they can do that. And the gov't might install better locks on childrens doors meeting publics concerns. Not trample the constitution by infringing on other rights.
  13. Consider moving to Beaverton, OR. We have both here. - The owner is not guilty. The registered owner does get the notice of the ticket; I know, been there & done that ( my son driving ~ 16-17 yrs ago ). - Here we can easily go to trial, just don't pay any fine/bail money & show up on the date scheduled. Sounds like due process to me. JerryBaumchen Then if you go to court and lose, which you will do as you're not beating radar or pacing or speed camera, you pay the fine PLUS COURT COSTS. YEA YOU HAD YOUR DUE FRIGGIN PROCESS that cost more than if you turned it down. HA HA...
  14. Of course the instrument would't equal the net of the debt. Why would anyone buy debt instrumnet at face value of the debt dollar for dollar? I see you're not getting this.
  15. you are confusing two things. student loan debt with student loan debt instruments. you implied there was going to be a problem with the latter. i pointed out i do not agree. if you want to change the subject, fine but do not imply i am the clueless one. i would agree with you that student loan debt is a big issue. one that i feel people should be concerned with. OH when students stop paying loans, or kids cut back on going to college due to cost of tuition (a direct result of the back side slimey "instruments" business you're refering to) you don't think the loan debt instruments business will suffer? Substitute college debt instruments for "mortgage backed securities" and you'll have your answer. DOH, people stop paying on the front side the back side blow up. Why do think Blankenfeild is over with Obama talking about immigration.... he wants the bodies so that the paper can be created. All those illegals need to go to college. More paper, more debt, more instruments with which to deal. Same as they did in writing mortgages. Flim flam, one paper business to the next. When one side fails the otherside fails. Same a ponzi. I though you knew about finance. You are out of it. Like most. Can't connect the dots.
  16. They are called "Navigators." But most states require you to have an insurance sales license to consult or advise with insurance products. Hence the reason the insurance sales industry is upset as they will loose there jobs. It's all about employing illegals and minorities. Funded by tax payers. http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/for-insurance-exchanges-states-need-navigators--and-hiring-them-is-a-huge-task/2013/02/04/bb5e577c-6960-11e2-ada3-d86a4806d5ee_story.html
  17. Post 911 6,000 US pilots were handed tickets for violating airspace and they didn't have due process. They were deemed guilty. There were allowed an administrative gov't hearing to try and overturn the conviction, but few tried that route as it was useless. No jury trials allowed. A self serving gov't looking out for their own gov't jobs. Now 17 federal agencies oversee airspace security. Yes, there are two political parties to keep the populace bantering back and forth, but only on party running the place, and they're slightly out of view.
  18. States are just now learning they'll have to hire hundreds of thousands of people to help people buy insurance via the exchanges and the insurance sales industry is up in arms. The healthcare act will become a jobs program, basically employing inner city people to help inner city people buy insurance that YOU AND I WILL PAY FOR.
  19. ***no you are still clueless on the topic as evidenced by your next comment about "stock companies." An entity similar to "ad men" and "front end paper", that only exist in your head. Not knowing the difference between public and privately traded companies, makes you clueless on finance. making up your own words for a conversation makes you clueless on the English language. you made a point and i gave you credit. of course, being clueless you missed the greater context, which is that there is not enough student loan securities to cause a bigger problem.*** A trillion is not a problem? You are hilarious. All the debt graduates face combined with not being able to find work upon graduation is not a problem? Most Americans feel it is a problem. I guess you are over with Obama and Blankfein today. They need more immigrant to go to college so to sell more debt. The same thing they did with the minorities with mortgages. Jeesh you don't have clue. The reason this country is owned. Here's the problem with college debt and the securities the flim flamers are dealing in. http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/student-loan-ranger/2012/10/03/student-debt-affects-generations-of-americans[url] http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/student-loan-ranger/2012/10/03/student-debt-affects-generations-of-americans
  20. Yep, they allow things under Amendment X, where they shouldn't have as rights are specifically enumerated in the Constitution. State or Fed should not infringe upon any rights contained in the Second Amendment. But they do. Some states ban, certain firearms and "arms" is not specifically defined. So, Since the Feds and the States don't abide by the Constitution including Amendment IV at the airport, and XIV laws again depriving of property (firearm as property) then should not THE PEOPLE petition the government?
  21. They'll pay a fine no where near what they made. It's called cost of doing business. Not sending the white collar perps to jail is the reason this country is owned. The idea is don't get caught and when you do just pay the fine.
  22. Why should you have any qualms if you are trained to be a war fighter. OH I know: you're not allowed to shoot back, per the US ARMY's rules of engagment. The reaon we're just walking around in Afgan and Irag geting blown up and shot up for no good reason. Fodder for John Hopkins medical crew.
  23. Oh here we go again Mr. Banker. I'm clueless but I have a point you say. So hence, I'm not clueless. Your buddy CEO of Goldman is over there meeting with Obama today.
  24. The DUI argument doesn't work with guns. Why should my right to keep and own a gun be restricted for any reason when it is my right under the Constitution to have that right. Any law infringing that right is against the Constitution. Just just because we a a couple of nutjobs out shooting up the place doesn't mean rights should be restricted. If they want to change the laws then they need amendment to the Constitution abolishing the 2nd, not end rights via state taxes, fees, restrictions, goofy training classes etc. So tell us precisely which proposals plan to confiscate your guns. All I'm hearing is a lot of whining about something that hasn't happened and is not going to happen. Why would you bring up confiscation when it was never mentioned. You do agree there are "restrictions to rights" being proposed. That doesn't mean necessarily confiscation. You guys read too much into things and you over analyze.
  25. Not all chokes extend past the end of the barrel, and having two extended chokes can make it annoying to change them without a key. You could have one barrel with a choke you don't plan on changing very often (like medium range/modified choke) and an extended choke in the other one. If I was going to have one extended choke, it would be in the top barrel as shown in the photo. Yes I was responding to you. You don't seem to have a clue the use of chokes, or barrels of a shotgun while shooting skeet. I've address most of what you said. Here another one.. you don't need a key to change extended chokes even if two chokes are installed. They are not torqued down that tight anyway. Most expert trap and skeet shooters never change chokes anyway as they most often never change their handicap....only then one might change a choke. My skeet gun has FIXED chokes, not threaded for replacment chokes: why? I know what I need and I use barrel pending what shot I'm taking. I do realize it might be difficult for one to understand shooting sports when they're not that involved with the sport or with shotguns in general. Sigh... How far into a post do you usually read before just deciding "screw this guy... I know I disagree with this guy..." Someone posted that the photo is suspicious because the gun the president is holding has an extended choke on one barrel and not the other, and that that meant he must only be using one of the barrels. I replied with why one might choose to have one extended choke, and that it's really not grounds for dismissing the photo. The president clearly doesn't "shoot skeet all the time," but I don't like it when people make bad arguments like that "on behalf" of gun owners. Now you're beating your chest over how you use fixed chokes while shooting skeet... look, I'm not having a pissing match here. No problem.
