  1. I would pay to see you jump with a spray-on jumpsuit
  2. *Face Palm* Stop second guessing yourself...god forbid you second guess your dive flow when it comes down to the real thing or if you have to second guess about your EP. or you can keep doing tandems because it's you tandems that pay for our DZs to remain in operation for us real jumpsers.
  3. Thanks for great advise! The "local shop" that was advised to me last week is hour and a half away from me that is first. Second, it is not a shop, it is a drop zone, I called them, they did not have G3 helmets. Before you flame newbie try and get your facts straight. To the rest of the guys who really tried to help - THANK YOU! I believe that is why forum exist - to ask questions and help each other out. I called shooting star this morning and ordered XL. Well, there were several posts in that thread that specifically said to try a helmet on before you buy one. It was specifically stated that different brands of helmets will fit differently shaped heads better than others. That Cookie has strange sizes (you need to order at least one, sometimes two and occasionally three sizes over) is widely known. You couldn't wait a week to try on a few at the DZ? It gets a little tiresome when advice is asked for, then ignored when given, then more advice is asked for. But, hey, as with everything else, YMMV. I love it when advise is given here and whoever is asking for the advise totally goes 180. Begs to ask, so who's trolling who? it's like those "i'm new what rig should i buy" threads. Somone: looking for advise on a new rig,,i just finished my first jump AFF Forums : you should really finish up AFF and work on getting licensed Somone : oh ok! thanks for the advise 1 week later. Somone : hey i just finished my 2nd jump and i ordered my custom rig with a 210! and i weight 250lbs! I always break my wrist face palming whenever i'm on this forum.
  4. Thanks for replying. I like MH for what it is..a dungeon crawling game (makers of Diablo I and II...not III). So it's a nice distraction of sorts. Where as DC Universe OL is more of a MMO, if i'm not mistaken. Check out War Thunder @ http://warthunder.com/ and tell me what you think.
  5. ...of the PC game War Thunder? If so do you think it's worth trying? Also what is your xbox live names if you have one: mine is GooniesKid. I'm also on Marvel Heroes, World of Tanks, and Steam
  6. Will the cold beer also help the knot you'll put in my head if i go and meet you and S'Mama?
  7. I kinda do. But saying they are overpriced and overrated is not really far from the truth. You can get a quality suit from Bev, Tony, or even Deepseed for half the price of a LS. Let's see who usually buys LS (my experience and observations): 1. The cool kids..or those who think they are cool as shit because they know staff at a DZ. 2. The rich kids...or those who get mommy and daddy to pay for a LS tunnel suit just so they can compete in tunnel days (mind you half these kids don't even skydive). 3. The select few...or those who really truely have skills to pay the bills. 4. The non select few...or those who are posers (again with just alot of money to throw around when they could have gotten any other suit that does just about the same thing). it's like buying a Vector container fitting a 190 and having it embroiled Micron Series on the side wall. So who's really buying LS....mainly those people who have money to throw around (which really tells them alot about them) when they could get any other suit that fulfills the same role. Liquidsky is a status thing...just like how people buy BMW or Ferrari to show off. Just saying
  8. i agree. class warfare: rich vs. poor. i'm just waiting for the Justice League movie instead. That'll be a long wait. Unfortunately
  9. I'd totally down..but i'm afraid Normiss might punk me up for complimenting you on previous posts. I don't want him to mess up my gorgeous body and face
  10. LOL! nice,,exactly what i would have said. Speaking of saying stuff how come when I say things like this i'm called a "troll", jerk, ahole, people start talking about my good looks. But as soon as others say something like this, it's ok?
  11. LiquidSky can certainly make a nice custom for you..if you're willing to pay for an overpriced, over rated, jumpsuit.
  12. Heh. If you can get AFF 1-7 at Lodi for $1000, would you do it? If you save yourself $1000 or so on training and spend it travelling there, you're really not saving that much. $1000 is a pretty small percentage of what you spend on the sport, ultimately. How much have YOU put into skydiving so far? $1000 at Lodi..hek yeah! But i'd go for whichever DZ is closest over the price. why? because it'll be your home DZ for awhile and would you want to spend the extra money on gas when it can be used for rentals and jumps?
  13. i agree. class warfare: rich vs. poor. i'm just waiting for the Justice League movie instead.
  14. So, is that the trend, has to be really, really tight? bro, if it's really really tight that's not a trend..that's uncomfortable. what color is it? I'll buy it off ya if it doesn't fit.
  15. I was totally blown away...i didn't know they made parachutes that can fit the size of their ginormous balls.
  16. we already do..it's called HAARP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Frequency_Active_Auroral_Research_Program
  17. I don't see a problem with it..but for you, i'll edit what's relevant then
  18. Correct, the pressure change in the pool is different than in the air because liquid is a much denser medium. However, if you can equalize in the pool (or even equalize while scuba diving) without any problems you should be ok in the air. On my first AFF jump (i didn't do tandem because i didn't want some big buck dude strapped to me from behind,,i know, i'm a homophobe) i got a little bit nausea under canopy. But after that I think by body just got used to it. That plus on my first AFF jump after opening it felt like i went through some g-forces but now i think i just got used to it. Did you experience the same?
  19. Awesome! Keep doing tandems man! They help keep our DZs open for us licensed veterans of the sport
  20. That's a very absolute statement and like many absolute statements, particularly in skydiving, it is not totally correct. There ARE places using Sabre2's as student canopies. And yes, down to and including the 170. For a 100lb girl it could be fine. true..my first rental after AFF was a sabre2 230
  21. Hey Quade that's cool..didn't know you can "white out" a spoiler...will remember for future movie reviews. Thanks!
  22. I agree...I don't wanna have kids either..they are loud, cry all day, obnoxious, and suck away all my free time to do all the fun stuff i want to do. Fuck what others say, you forge you own life with your girl. Others are just jealous they can't skydive cuz they have kids to watch over.
  23. I really wish Brian Germain would come on here and comment on all these pre-AFF students (who think they know everything they need to know about this sport) wanting to get their own rig during or straight after AFF. oh i'm sorry, you don't know who Germain is? I thought you did all the "legwork" By the way, there's nothing with a rig that has 600 jumps on it. That student rig you're using probably has more than 600 jumps on it and is probably older than you. To make it into this elite club you gotta pay your dues..and i dont' mean paying money...do some legwork on that. Speaking about legwork, where's a piece of leg i can dry hump
