  1. Damn dude....that's cold. Lesson learned..if i have a chance to apologize i will.
  2. I haven't actually made a skydive yet
  3. Omigawd! Is there more than one like him???? there is me
  4. So there are a total of five experienced female jumpers at your DZ? Rosie doesn't count. Well, to be honest, 99% of all the chicks are the DZ are hot and have mad skills. But if i were to have a top-5 starting line/starting string it would be the 2 lady instructors, 2 free-flying girls, and 1 RW girl. And Rosie is awesome,,never complains, never gives excuses, and is always available 24/7
  5. Nooo!! I like your avatar! That's my fav. movie. Please don't change it, dude.
  6. I am secretly in love with 2 lady instructors, 2 free-flying girls, and 1 RW girl at my local DZ.... ...but I already have a girlfriend
  7. 1. i wouldn't worry too much..just ask her nicely to stop and tell her why it is not appropriate. 2. yes, it's hard to manage 40+ kids and the whistle is a great idea. BUT dropping to their knees and having them put their hands on their heads and wait? Sounds like social conditioning for a future police state. There are better ways to handle this using a whistle IMHO
  8. Grats. Now we're talking. 40 jumps in and you have a sense of what you want to do. I agree with you on renting gear. But here's the kicker. IF and a big IF you are planning on downsizing your probably (PROBABLY) better off renting and learning on different canopies until you are comfortable with whatever size you are aiming for. Just saying. You don't want to commit to a rig to later find out you want something smaller. Classified is a hit or miss..more miss. If you want the skinny on used gear you might want to try your local DZ.
  9. At sea-level? What type of discipline of freefall? Exit weight?
  10. Well according to OP, OP won't be jumping. It's be up to the DZ to let students jump during a boogie weekend. Personally, i don't see why a student can't jump during a boogie; get into the plane in the correct exit order, pull at the correct altitude, land safely.
  11. I'll take a different approach to this. Don't go. Why? Well, you might get all depressed that everyone is having fun, jumping together, maybe sleeping together, etc. Basically, you'll be all bum'ed out that you're not jumping. Would you really realistically be having as much fun just watching others jump and talk about their jump, walking through the vendors and knowing you can't demo stuff, etc. This might now be your personality, but 2 weeks ago i saw a student grounded due to winds (strong enough to ground a student). But everyone was still jumping, having a great time, talking about their 60 second freefall, etc. But this one student totally looked bum'ed out cuz i knew he couldn't join the fun. No one at the DZ (that i saw) came up to him to just chit chat..maybe it was up to the dude to come up to us and start a chit chat....but my point is he was totally bored and bum'ed out. On the other hand sure you'll make friends, get to know people, get to talk with the staff, etc. You'll have plenty of time to get to know people, talk with the staff, etc. AND this is not the only boogie..there will be more, i garontee. Helping out? For free? A great man once told me, "if you're good at something, never do it for free".
  12. That's not far from the truth..i started wearing FF helmet when i funneled an exit and literally had some dude's balls on my face for a split second...never again man.
  13. Congrats Jerry. happy birthday,,many more returns
  14. It's not your shoes...i know people who wear sandals, flip flops, and even go barefooted. Ideally, you should be PLF'ing your landings. Or talk to your instructors to get feedback. Or a canopy course is in order.
  15. Oh ok...sorry, i'm kinda slow this morning.
  16. Then, you know what you have to do? Yes..don't be a creep? Precisely. There's one other step you might want to consider as well, sometimes it helps, sometimes not, but it's worth a shot. Stop talking about it. Stop being a jerk? (which I think IMHO i've been painted as one)
  17. I agree...i always put money down on my account at my local dz, but i never jump that worth of said money put down. That way it slowly accumulates credit. Tip you packers (they will remember you and sometimes get you on a 20)
  18. Then, you know what you have to do? Yes..don't be a creep?
  19. I hear ya...im surprised I havent gotten my ass kicked around the dz for all my antics.
  20. No. Try not to get too creepy about it though. Isn't the new Buzz Word regarding creepy stuff now "Goonie"? Like . . . Try not to get to goonie about it? Please dont tell me that's the mantra going around these days. I don't want to be the creep around the dz.
  21. I agree. And lucky you can post those here. If i were to say such things i'd get "oh you're a creep", "you troll", "stop complementing prospects on how good they look", "stop asking prospects out on dates".. I envy you sir,,,i envy you
  22. I will be getting both next gen. And will be selling both but will most likely keep X1. I'll sell the PS4 for about $800 - $1000 depending on demand
  23. im quite the opposite, but the approach works for me. For me, i tell everyone that i can that i skydive. I tell my co-workers, my family, my friends of friends and i do get the proverbial "you are crazy". But sometimes i do get the few that are kinda interested and start asking questions like "what happens if...". But what's really cool is that all the prospects I tell that I skydive is they get really intrigued and say something like "oh wow, I would have never known you're that kind of adventurous guy (i wanna really have your baby now)" kind of response.
