    Actually I do, but it's still alive!!! I have a deep, yet irrational fear of mice!! If it crawled/jumped off...I think I would have a heart attack!!! I like the McDonalds idea...maybe I could get a big settlement out of it...lol

    Has this ever happend to anyone? You've left your deep fryer sitting out overnight so the oil could cool and found a MOUSE in it the next morning!! I'm f%$#ing terrified of the darn things and now I'm not sure what to do. Should I: 1) Throw the oil and the mouse out in the field so it doesn't have to suffer anymore. 2) Let the darn thing drown in oil so I don't subject myself to a moster anxiety attack. 3) Deep fry the little guy and serve him to the in-laws tomorrow. Seriously though....this in really grossing me out!!!!

    Dang, miss a couple weekends at the dz and look at what I've missed!!!! By the way, I know for a fact your tent has some HUGE vents on the top!! But they are pretty much useless when the sun comes up in the morning.

    Alright, I was wondering about Unions....What are they really good for????? Right now my husband's contract is up and the union has been negotiating with the company....turns out unsuccessfully, so now the company is locking them out. Which means no money, no insurance and NO SKYDIVING!!! I've already gone back to work to fund our jumping (I know your thinkng, what a good wife) I know there's a reason their there but I can't figure it out... I just think it's a conspiracy of Whuffos to keep me from jumping!!! A conspiracy I tell you, a CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!

    Vent #1: After not being able to jump for the last year I was FINALLY going to be able to restart my AFF tomorrow. Got a call from my husband awhile ago saying that his company is going on strike tomorrow, which means HUGE loss in income and no medical insurance. I had people lined up this week to do all my "soccer mom" duties, had the money to buy an entire jump package and the weather is suppose to be GREAT this week!! I was hoping to spend the whole week there and finish everything. Vent #2: As I'm talking about this with a friend at a boyscout picnic today, an whuffo B%&*@ turns and says to me (butting in by the way)....."Well atleast now you won't orphan your children"..... WTF? I just wanted to turn to her and knock her to the ground!!! Anyways, Thanks for the thread Ivan!!!

    Yup, it was the landing that got me. I spent all last summer watching friends jump and students getting their licenses, including my husband. On one hand I found it very irritating that I was stuck on the ground just watching. But on the other hand staying on the ground gave me a chance to learn so much from the experienced jumpers. However I do have to say my confidence is pretty low right now as far as landings go (my landings were never really what you would call spectacular ). My DZO suggested doing another tandem before restarting my AFF again, to get acclamated to the sky......Any comments?????? I think I'll follow his advice but I was kinda curious to what any of you thought. Thanks for the welcome everyone!!

    Hey All !!!!! I've made a whole 13 posts here in the forums and still never officially said hello to everyone. I'm still a student, but hopefully not for much longer. After breaking my ankle a little over a year ago (on AFF 7) I'm finally going to restart my AFF. I'm so excited!!!! But also VERY nervous!! Anyways, I'm glad to be getting back in the sky!!!

    The fear of the unknown is what got me on my first jump....all my whuffo friends kept telling me I WAS gonna die....(what do they know anyways) The door TERRIFIED me my first jump, but now I LOVE it!!!! He just let me out today!!!!....thanks for the concern AM

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions, but I think I'll stay away from anything that can catch fire or blow up... hahah. Lots of great ideas though! Hang in there FAber, I"m not sure what you did to your leg, but trust me it will eventually heal. Mine took over a year to get "straightened" out. Thanks again everyone!
