But if you leave it laying around unguarded, they'll certainly put a picture of their dick on your phone. Haha, good point!
-
It's a file, you can have it saved in more than one place. You can't easily do that with your log book. One other advantage is nobody can stamp your log book with their dick and an ink pad if you have it on your computer
-
What happens when you lose your log book? Same thing! I have always been terrible about logging. After 1000 jumps I just stopped all together. It's more important when you're first starting out but after a while it really doesn't mean much, to me anyway. When you only have a few hundred jumps a new DZ is probably going to check out your log book more carfeully, so a physical one might be best.

Dangers of a newbie tunnel rat
Mr_Polite replied to frankyblue's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The biggest time I have seen an issue with FF's doing belly jumps is when they're on a jump because it's someones 1000th or other big jump. Lots of these types of jumps can draw a large crowd of people wanting to be on it don't normally participate in big belly ways for instance. One of the times I was on a "special #" jump, there were 16 of us. 15 of us made it into the formation and the last guy wasn't around until 500 feet before break off. He flew under and funneled half of us just before break off. It was a messy break off and track!! This was not a slow falling group and basic RW skills would have made it possible for anyone who has practiced belly to dock on. -
Dangers of a newbie tunnel rat

Not true in all cases. Have been on some belly jumps that had people who freefly 99% of the time, they were horrible on their belly and one of them was down right scary. -
I really don't give a shit about his jump numbers. One jump and landing like those in the videos should have been enough for someone to say something. He flys no pattern and just goes where ever the fuck he feels like. He's a canopy collision waiting to happen. If I knew who he was I would never get on a load with him. My first time in Eloy, there was an older guy that flew a total shit pattern. He cut off a bunch of people on the way down and was just clueless. While this jumper was picking his gear up to walk back and pack, the S&TA (Brian I believe?) was already walking out to have a talk with him. I would be surprised if nobody has said anything to this kid.

Why?

I thought it was a good movie but a little long. If N-bombs bother you don't watch it.

Both are good canopies but the Pilot has more consistent openings. You can pack a Sabre to open better but no matter what you do it is going to smack you every once in a while (some more than others). I put 1100 jumps on a Pilot 150, no cutaways, on heading openings till about 450 jumps per line set and an all around great canopy. I didn't really care for the zpx and always bought ZP.

Do you really want your AAD changing settings by itself if it "thinks" you're at a different elevation??

Facebook will probably be dead in a few years. All it is now is stupid e-cards, advertisements and a few pictures or updates.
-
If the links were mine since new and showed no signs of wear I would reuse them. If I bought a used canopy and it came with used links I would toss them out and buy new ones. They're cheap!

low jump numbers, camera and low exits

People can do what they want. It's not your job or right to tell them what to do. -
or morgue....

I had a boss who fired the cleaning staff to save money. Then he told me to go clean the bathroom. 1/2 way through cleaning it he came in and took a massive shit. I was so mad. Threw down the mop and walked out.

If you could create the perfect DZ...

This guy has a stronger right arm than most!

LOL! 1.2 mill won't even break ground in NYC. I can put you in contact with a guy in Nigeria who will send you a very large check for more than you're asking. All you need to do is send him a check for the extra money he sent. Sound good?
-
Yeah no shit dude, anyone who has been around for a few years would know this. ^This is your big problem and why you won't see them popping up in every state.
-
Didn't look like he was really chasing him, more like just watching to see what happens

Traveling to a tunnel from the midwest, advice please.

Yes you can do an hour in a weekend. Is this for belly or freefly or both? One hour isn't too bad, I know of a few people that tried doing 4 hours during a week and by the end they were so tired, the last few sessions were worthless. I like the idea of going once a month or so for a few months vs just doing one big trip. This way you can take what you learned and apply during real jumps. Then go back in a month and tell them what you're struggling with and work on that. -
Ahh ok, then yeah i would be pissed.
