Im with you Tuna. Bigway was just being a small time, behind the keyboard basher cause he doesn't get the chicks. Now hes even more pissed cause this guy is "scaring" them all away. Looks like he vented and didn't give a shit on how it came out. Duke6901, I appreaciate your entusiasm. Everything seems so unbelievable and attractive in the beginning, and may stay that way for some time. But, you will soon realize that some of these women, you will really want to stay away from. There are alot of DZ hoes out there, make sure you dont become a victim. Bigway.......your condescending attitude is what I go to the DZ to get away from. Its good to see that you were able to recover good enough to enjoy the sport again. Since you stated it in your first post, I will assume that your not afraid to talk about it, so I will ask. Why the hell did you try to kill yourself 3 times? Granted I have never been injured that bad, and hope I never find out what its like, but I just would like to know how and if it was associated to your injuries.

I didnt hear about it, but I will defintely shoot vidoe for that exit, as there is no way someone wont smack the door or kick out out a pilot chute on exit. Should be fun. Maybe ya'll can try this weekend out of the Otter at Abbotsford.

I just returned from Skydive Oregon and had a blast. There was an impromptu swoop comp put on by Andy Farrington from Kapowsin. I had never done a comp, so I figured, what the hell. I really didnt have any expectations at all, and good thinking as I didn't score a single point and got soaked once.......ran out of bottom end. So the next day, I dedicated every landing to that damn 230 foot pond and the winds were a perfect downwind speed, in contrast to the day before, which were swoop busting headwinds. I started setting up to the last 1/3 of the pond and worked myself further and further back towards the gates. By the end of the day, with the winds the way they were, we were setting up over the trailers and planing out right at the gates with mind bending downwind speed that finally got me my first , pre-second edge to edge toe draggin pond swoop. What and awesome feeling. Thanks to all the cool ass folks at SDO and the Kapow crew for some killer H/D Bigways.

What Ian said. It takes more jumps than you have to be good in a sit, at least it did for me. When you get proficient enough in your sit and want to work on HD, use a coach. If you cant afford one, use flower exits for every exit while working on your sit. It will help you get oriented to the position and how it feels as compared to just thrusting yourself into it. Just rotate to a sit when you come off the hill.

Ya know, I just dont understand the mentality of "If I have never heard of it before, it must be something else." Of how about this one, "Well I jump that canopy also, you must have bad body position", only to find out that the lineset is whacked. Its comments like these from "know it all's" that get's us nowhere. We NEED to question the possibility of problems on the maufacturers part, because if the mentality on the part of the whole overrides the possiblity of a safety issue that is occuring with the minority, we are putting others at risk. Im sure there were others that thought there was nothing wrong with the Jedei or the Crossfire1 to begin with. What about bent reserve pins? One of the rigs I jumped failed that test so bad that they sent it to the manufacturer for even more metallurgy tests after the recall was already in effect. Questioning the unthinkable is what keeps our sport safe and growing. Complacency kills.

If you do nothing but gut fly, they are great. Not a true representation of the whole sport. I'd be nice to see some freeflying and base in there. Some wingsuits would be nice too.

Jeff, I am considering either the Vengance or the Samurai in the future. Have you flown a Samurai before? If so, how does the Vengance stack up against it performance wise? I like the characteristics that you stated on the Vengance and flying a Lotus right now, I am looking to stay in the airlocked canopy class for good. Like you said, when they are commenting on turbulence, I am thinking.....oh yeah....airlocks kick ass. I feel nothing, nice and stable. If anyone here flies a 120 Samurai, please post your thoughts on it. -
I was finally informed at the end of me 15 week wait that the reason for it was the same issue you had. My canopy had been made for quite some time, but was just sitting there waiting for the logo to be put on it. It apparently sat there for many weeks, and the only reason I found this out, is I called Spain myself. This is why I say that the reps will lie to you. They knew my canopy was ready, but didnt have the logo on it, so they just told me it wasnt. IMO that is HORRIBLE customer service. I should, and finally did have the right to request it sent to me without the logos. As I said, the only way I was able to do this was to contact the factory in Spain myself. All the rep did was take my order and my money.

My experience with Icarus, was horrible. They take forfuckingever to make your canopy. They lie to you on a constant basis about when your canopy is going to arrive. No one talks to anyone else in the company about the issues they are having. My canopy was made in 15 weeks and had a fucked up lineset, you think that if would be perfect with the amount of time it took the people to make it. When I went to return it within the 30 return policy, all I got was flack from a rep that never flew my canopy, but swore that it was just fine. I got my money back and will never buy a canopy from the manufacturer again, only private sales or stores with stock on hand. If you have a rep with the name of Simon, use a different rep. Simon lies out his ass. *off soap box again*

Dave, you couldn't be more correct. This rigging and stunt coordinating was done by a close jump friend of mine. I just saw it last week and said to myself, HEY! thats his commercial! It was filmed up in Vancouver BC. I was actually hoping to be one of the hangers in the background. Oh well. Jeffery, dude.......lame. Lame to even make a deal of it. Ya gotta be a duck man....just let it roll off your back. If ya fly up due to the rain, your just gonna get a full choke of #2 shot in the ass.
