  1. I don't care that 65000 Americans want to deport him, 65 000 000 Brits don't want him back. USA you took him, you bloody well keep him. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

    Christmas blues

Actually I worked Christmas for years, in A&E (ER), I loved it as the only people that came in were the ones that really needed to, even the drunks didn't want to spend Christmas in a hospital. Then I volunteered in a homeless shelter for alcoholics in central London for a few years. It kind of detracted from the commercialism of Christmas and was also enjoyable doing something for other people who thought the world didn't give a shit about them. Today its Christmas and for the first Christmas ever on my lap as I'm typing this lies my sleeping 2 month old baby daughter, wearing a little knitted red dress with a white snowflake on the front, I'm in my home which my beautiful wife and I purchased this year and today I couldn't be happier. So Merry Christmas to you all wherever you are reading this.

  10. I doubt that there are that many people in the West with any education who actively wish to see the USA tear itself apart. Its a nation much misunderstood but with all our economies interconnected in a giant financial Jenga block only an idiot would want to see the USA tear itself apart. 15. It seems to me that there has not been a time where America was more divided or society was as fragile as it is today. Is the USA beginning to tear itself apart? 16. Or not born of course. Somewhere in this thread it mentioned that 25 people were at the reunion who owe their lives to Franz not firing his guns, now unless they had a shed load of sightseers along for the ride then many of those 25 would be descendants. Christmas blues

Is it just me or does anyone else get the Christmas blues? I don't mean that cabin fever you get by boxing day or the bored out of your brains by Christmas evening or even the 'ah well that all the presents opened' but just a slightly sad feeling. Nothing in particular wrong and not depression just a blue moment over Christmas. I didn't think I'd get it this year as I have so many fantastic things to be grateful for and happy about so was surprised to be sitting here on Christmas eve wondering why the slightly sad feeling. 19. It was the chivalrous and nobel thing but not the professional thing. I wonder how man germans are dead today because he didn't fire his guns? Bottom line, its the man in the moments call and no one else's. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 20. After what the German army did to Russia I can't say I blame them. The USAF took especially severe casualties due to their daylight bombing strategy but it was slim chances of survival for all of them the USAF, RAF (and the Allies who flew with the RAF) and the Russians. 21. Because the Swiss have common sense. 'Mericans think, "Only MY sense makes sense." Nope, it is cause the swiss get as much boobies as they like. I swear violence is correlated to how prudish a society is. You could be on to something there mate. 24. As a former soldier and someone who continues to shoot up to three times a week I'd say I was pretty well educated in the subject and definitely not a knee jerker. Your half cocked post however seems to put you firmly in that category. The point is its not mandatory those who are irresponsible and unbalanced are not exactly likely to attend.
