Thats just one source, it also happened to Amber Lyon on FB and others, check it out on infowars. As for the CIA link, did you actually read that article and have a look at the IQT website? It sounds quite tin foil hat until you read some of the papers on IQT and realise that theres more to that story than you would care to believe. "Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." - Mohandas Gandhi That was enough for Facebook to close down several pages of people who had the quote on their page. Good ideas, many of which have been adopted in the UK with some differences on how much can be spent. http://www.loc.gov/law/help/campaign-finance/uk.php However, while you have some good ideas it still doesn't address the short termist problem which all modern western governments have. Or try explaining that we've mapped subsurface structures of the Moon, are geologically and biologically exploring Mars, and are expanding our study of the formation of solar systems. Well done three areas which have nothing to do with us politics or political change. Fair point, I actually thought that things had turned a corner in the USA regarding the sue culture a few years back (around the time the fat kid tried to sue McDonalds for making him fat and lost). In the UK its getting worse and more like the US everyday in this respect. Have there been no changes to the law to try and prevent unreasonable litigation in the states in the last ten years? Because something that works will take a lot longer than four years, its as simple as that. We all live in a short termist world, no one is looking past the next year, in business often past the next quarter. In politics whatever is done must be achievable in the term of office or either it will get scrapped when the other guy gets in or he will take the credit if it works and we can't have the good of the country over party politics now can we (see current cluster fuck over the fiscal cliff for example). And so 'something has to be done' politicos can't be seen to do nothing, looks like they don't care and we can't have the public knowing thinking that. So what gets done is what can be done quickly, that which looks like something is being done, it doesn't matter if it works or not, hell its a win win situation; if the current guy makes fast changes he is seen by the public to care and is being dynamic yet if the other guy gets in and repeals the changes the current guy makes he can be attacked as uncaring over the issue or worse uncaring over dead/poor/fat/etc children. Bottom line is its a game laddie and you're just another pleb pawn. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I think that is the difference, I agree 100% with everything you said in your last post if the situation is in a military context. However in a civvy context of being a LEO the scenario changes after you've secured the scene. Thats a very big difference, having said that its a different ball game in the USA than in Europe I guess.
