  1. I often like Kallends posts but even though it doesn't matter what anyone thinks (HHs home HHs rules) I think if he should have been banned its for being so obtuse with an insult its confused half of DZ.com When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 6. The US for decades has spent billions on war and empire building around the world. Its set itself up as the worlds policeman and daddy. So you can't really bitch when the kids trip over and need a band aid or two. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 7. An early warning systenm would not have been viable in this situation as the countries involved were either to close to the epicenter to have been able to have initiated a evacuation in time or no infrastructure to relay such an alarm existed event in the event of prior knowledge. As for the Maldives or the seven thousand low lying islands that make up the Indian achipelligo where would you run to anyway? Also this is not exactly a everyday event. With hindsight we can protect against anything. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Don't know what the current exchange rate is but thats alot of dollars when you look at the respective sizes of the UK and US When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 11. Whats that work out at? About 50 cents per an American? How much does one value human life? Would you withhold 50 cents that would save lives? After 9/11 I and many others around the world gave to the fund, its time to give a little to others who will never have what we take for granted. Now is the time to show the world the best of America, the humanity and warmth that resides within America, if America reachs out to the worlds largest Muslim nation at this time it will do more to destroy Al Queida than all the bombs dropped since 9/11 ten times over. America is the worlds only superpower, with great power comes great responsibility. 17. He pleaded guilty because he did it. I don't belive that what he did was wrong in this circumstance. Seems to me the most humane thing they could have done if the facts are as they said. 18. If the senario had been reversed then yes I have no problem with that as I've already said If I had been the youth looking at my guts while in a burning truck then I'd rather be shot as well. How about you would you rather burn? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  19. I'm have been critical of millitary overkill and illegal acts. However, each case must be tried on its merits if I'm understanding correctly these men found a youth alive in a burning truck with his guts spilling out and were unable to get to him. Sounds bad eh? Well, I can asure you the reality of someone in this state is far worse than anything one can imagine. I can not find it in me to condem these soldiers in this senario and further I belive I may well have taken the same course of action in similar circumstances. Thats not to say I condone the killing of prisoners but niether to I blanket condem it either, it just depends on circumstance and operational requirements. 20. "Till you stand the post and do the nasty.... "YOU HAVE NO SAY" to how a soldier does his job..... " Errr........I think you'll find thats how it used to be in Iraq (When it was a dictatorship) However we live in a democracy which means that everyone has a say! 23. I don't really understand your question. If the soldiers were telling it as it was then I can well understand them shooting the man in the truck. In fact in the same situation I'd hope someone would shoot me. However, justice must be seen to be done and if these men are innocent then they will be found so. Unfortunatly I don't think the law takes into consideration mercy killings. As this is a high profile case that has international ramifications I think three years is the least they could have been sentenced to. It will be interesting to see if the sentence stands on appeal. 24. If God was a proffesor of physics then the brightest of us would just be a couple of two year olds fighting over who he loves the most.
