Democracy is an illusion, I doubt that it has existed in its true form since the days of Athens. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I agree that a better painless way of causing death are available but I have also seen trained Doctors botch anaesthetics its not as straight forwards and easy as you might think. LMAO How about we just give them a shallow bowl of water and let them drown themselves? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Would it be ok with you if they spent the rest of their life in solitary confinement? Rather that than dead. At least if evidence comes to light that clears them they can then be released. Interesting that once again you didn't answer the question. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. and if it was your family member or lover that was going to be executed for a crime they didn't commit that would be ok with you? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -
Turns out the suspect that has been arrested used to be a part time cop. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18122006/140/suffolk-murders-suspect-special-pc.html When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I think I'd most likey agree with you. As for the 'reward' the same 'reward' can be had whilst removing the risk of killing innocent people simply by having life imprisonment. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18122006/325/police-arrest-man-prostitute-murders.html he described himself as 'Sad and lonely, a man with something about him that women don't like' I hope they have the right person, he does sound like an attention seeking weirdo maybe to much so. Local 'working girls' who know him are now saying they don't belive it could be him. I'm not sure why it is appalling so long as it is done in a courteous manner and to everyone. because where we're from only criminals get fingerprinted and photographed for the records. So a prison officer should be doing the job of an anesthesiologist? So what about the second point about otherforms of torture that you appear to be happy about? So would I, cranes are very expensive to hire A lampost would suffice Actually Long drop hanging is one of the most humane and instant methods of death available. Only if it's done correctly. Apparently even at Nuremburg where everything was carefully orchestrated by the US Army, two of the condemned died by strangulation, and in one case the executioner had to enter the pit to "make an adjustment" before the prisoner died. The long drop was not used at Nuremburg. The standard drop was employed. http://www.richard.clark32.btinternet.co.uk/hanging2.html#standard When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. What about the emotional and psychological torture to the prisoner who knows he or she will fry like a KFC? That doesn't bother you I take it. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Very funny, but look again and you'll see I didn't 'add' torture its simply a byproduct of the execution. What about the emotional and psychological torture to the prisoner who knows he or she will fry like a KFC? That doesn't bother you I take it. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Pussy Define torture though. If you gas someone they will suffer, if you give them the lethal injection they will suffer, same goes for shooting them. Hell, we are talking about killing someone, of course its going to hurt! When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

It's agreed then, torture is ok. The purpose of an execution is to kill the recipient of the sentance of death. If that person is killed then the execution has been carried out and the job done. If torture is a byproduct of the killing then thats the price you pay for having a death penalty. If you are squeemish about it then abolish the Death Penalty. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

How do you do an execution wrong ... so long as the person dies you have done it right. Apparently the Governor of Florida and a Federal judge in CA do not agree with you. In fact, your exact attitude was explicitly mentioned by the judge in his ruling as one reason it was NOT done 'right'. I guess you'd be happy with burning at the stake, or burying in an anthill. Both will result in death. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
