  2. Wow, its quiet in here.... It will never happen unfortunatly Israel will continue to commit such crimes against Palastinians and those who support human rights. Meanwhile the appologists will simply start banging on about Hamas rockets (Which I do not condone) whilst looking the other way when it comes to crimes commited by the state of Israel. Where do you get the idea that Muslims believe People of other religions can get to paradise without converting? Yes some do but this is also not as clear cut as for example the Old and New Testament. Jihadists like to focus on the later verses and use this arguement to back up their world view. Just as some Christians use some of the more violent parts of the Old Testament to justify their more extreme world view and actions. • Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of God during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma'rûf and forbid Al-Munkar ; and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous. And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for God knows well those who are Al-Muttaqûn .(3:113-115) • And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in God and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before God. They do not sell the Verses of God for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, God is Swift in account. '(3:199)' • Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve . [Qur'an 2:62] • Say (O Muhammad ): "O people of the Scripture : Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but God, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides God. [Qur'an 3:64] The Qur'an speaks extensively about the Children of Israel (Banû Isrâ'îl) and recognizes that the Jews (a-Yahûd) are, according to lineage, descendants of Prophet Abraham through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob, peace and blessings be upon them all. They were chosen by Allah for a mission: "And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures." [Sûrah al-Dukhân: 32] Allah raised among them many Prophets and bestowed upon them what He had not bestowed upon many others: "And (remember) when Musa said unto his people: O my people ! Remember Allah's favor unto you, how He placed among you Prophets, and He made you Kings, and gave you that (which) He gave not to any (other) of (His) creatures." [Sûrah al-Mâ'idah: 20] He, also, exalted them over other nations of the earth and granted them many favors: "O Children of Israel! Remember My favor wherewith I favored you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures." [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 47] They were chosen by God for a mission (44:32) and God raised among them many Prophets and bestowed upon them what He had not bestowed upon many others (5:20). Certainly this is the way I was raised to view Jewish people as rightous people of the book to be treated with respect. This is also the view of all the Muslims I know and within my extended family (Sunni). We can all point out where people of other faiths are different, but I belive that it is much more useful to focus on that which we have in common. That depends on what you accept and how you interpret the 'Word of God' Yes, it certainly does! But we must keep trying to understand what it all means, we definately don't know it all... We agree.

Lame come back. Acording to the Bible Jesus was sacrificed on the cross to atone for the sins of mankind. That makes him a human sacafice. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

While Christianity developed its concept of atonement out of the same roots in the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old Testament), the different theology of Christianity led it to develop that concept in ways distinctly different from Judaism. In Christianity atonement refers to the forgiving or pardoning of sin through the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion. To some, this death is viewed as human sacrifice,[by whom?] and since the Hebrew Bible states that human sacrifice is an abomination in the sight of God (Lev. 18:21, 20:2-5, Deu. 12:31, Jer. 32:34-35), is a problematic view of atonement. According to Jewish law, the blood of the atoning sacrifice was to be offered on the altar of the temple (Ex. 30:10, Lev. 16) and Jesus was crucified outside the temple. Moreover, the prophet Ezekiel speaks out against the idea of vicarious atonement, where one person can suffer punishment for another person's sin: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him" (Eze. 18:20). Thus although the Mosaic law prescribes animal sacrifices for ritual worship, this is by no means viewed as supporting the idea of vicarious atonement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atonement_in_Judaism#Compared_with_Christian_idea_of_atonement When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I understand that thats what the Bible says are the words of Christ. I also understand that the book has been translated countless times, edited by the Romans and tweeked for two thousand years. No one knows who actually wrote most of the books of the New Testament. So did he say that? Maybe, maybe not... Time will tell I guess. So whats the difference? Christianity is no different in this respect. As for your earlier post it does not show the origins of Judaism simply one part of a very long story. A lot has happened in the last to thousand years, do you still think that God has turned away from the Jews? If so how does that sit with the fact that the temple is once again under Jewish control? Why is it the Muslims and Jews believe that other faiths can make it to heaven yet Christians think their the only ones that will? (I know what your going to say but the guy who said it was a Jew!) I don't think the Jews celebrate the birth of Christ. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  24. LOL... France is run by a centre right wing party, the UK is run by a right wing party coalition, Germany is run by a center right Christian party and Italy is run by the a modern Christian fasict Party. In fact the only sizable country in Europe with a let wing government is Spain. European politics is not like American politics where you're either a Liberal (which has a different meaning outside of the USA or a Republican. The reason that Europe is in the mess its in is because American bankers sold European bankers toxic assets gained from giving out mortgages to people who had no hope of paying them back. In fact the semi global economic collapse is a symptom of the failure of capitalism not Socialism.
