Sure Pakistani national pride was dented by the cross border raid into sovereign territory, if the Mexicans did the same to take out a drug baron in the USA without mentioning it to the US Gov there'd be plenty of pissed off Americans on here too, it doesn't mean that they'd be pro the drug baron. Today alone in Pakistan the Taliban killed 80 people in suicide bombings, apart from a few nutters theres no love for Bin Laden. Unbelievable, there are 195 countries in the world and yet somehow the Americans manage to turn a thread about a anti gay death bill in Uganda into a bitch and bawl about their domestic politics. Talk about self obsessed. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

So who says us Europeans are a bunch of wusses when it comes to crime? Former Nazi death camp guard gets five years for complicity in murdering 28,000 people. He's now 91 years old an in ill health, personally I'd have sentenced him to life regardless of how long he may or may not live. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/nazi-guard-demjanjuk-jailed-five-years-germany-100917101.html http://www.sobibor.info/murder.html When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. A while back we had to borrow a specialist from Spain called Mosses, I told my boss to get in touch with his boss to arrange it, my boss thought I was joking when I told him he had to ask a guy called Jesus if he could borrow Mosses! Your source material is very poor John, the Daily Mail is basically bordering on being a fascist rag that promotes xenophobia posing as a reputable newspaper. The people in the article are members of Jamat Dawa a small UN banned organisation which change its name from Lashkar-e-Taiba after the US declared it a terror organisation, it funded and organised the Mumbai attack. To claim that these people are representative of the people of Pakistan is like claiming that the KKK is representative of the people of the USA. This story has really grown legs. What do you think happened during that 25 min. blackout? So now we have him as unarmed, a 25 minute blackout and the he's shot "resisting". Be honest, does this disturb you even just a little? Oh, and now we know they used stealth helicopters to try and get in without waking anybody up. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/al-qaeda/8493391/Osama-bin-Laden-dead-Blackout-during-raid-on-bin-Laden-compound.html What happened during those 25 minutes? How did an unarmed man lying in bed with his wife in the middle of the night, resist arrest to the point that the only option was to shoot him dead? Well maybe he's not dead but getting the crap tortured out of him somewhere, but even if he is hes not long for this world. If they did just go in and kill him I'll not be shedding a tear, after all Bin Laden declared war on the USA so tough titty, big boys rules. Pakistan: Incompitent or incahoots with Bin Laden?
Skyrad replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
I couldn't tell you what my next door neighbours looked like if my life depended on it and I live in a city in a developed western nation. The UK gov doesn't even know how many illegal immigrants are in this country but estimates maybe 1 in 100 people. So how is Pakistan so different, why should they know he was there? Because he was living in the country that so how makes the Gov complicit? Well then by that logic the US Gov must have been in cahoots with Timmy McVey, after all he lived in the USA. Or the 9/11 killers who learnt to fly in the USA, the Gov must have known after all they didn't even want to know how to land a plane! Stupid logic but thats what it is to assume that a third world country Gov knew where Bin Laden was when the CIA didn't know, and if the US special forces hadn't fucked up in the first place and let him get away then he'd never been able to move across the border in the first place. Now using armchair logic that makes sense too but when you've been on the ground you realise just how difficult it would really have been to stop him. Sick of hearing how we expect third world countries to do what we in the developed west are unable to do with far more resources.
