  1. No. I'm a California liberal, so I'm too stoned to go vote. OK, actually I'm not stoned. But I did just take some drugs (caffeine, methocarbamol, and acetaminophen), and I'm about to walk down the street to vote.

    Acupuncture

Yes. Yes. Sort of (some immediate relief, but not long-lasting). Yes, if it wasn't so expensive (just because I enjoyed it ).
  3. Mine just brings up a bunch of links that would get this thread moved to Speaker's Corner.
  4. likely the poll was written while on something. Perhaps... But I'm guessing that people commonly make typos or other mistakes even without being on drugs. But yeah, designing a bridge on drugs (excluding caffiene, of course ) would be less harmless than posting to dz.com on drugs.
  5. "less harmless" Hmm, that's an interesting phrase. But I'm guessing you meant less harmful?
  6. Yes, some people do become addicted to weed, or at least psychologically dependent on it. The addiction is mild compared to say heroin or alcohol, very few (if any?) physical withdrawal symptoms. I've known a few people who were addicted to it to the point that it was causing health problems and disrupting their lives. But I think that the majority of pot smokers do not become addicted to it.
  7. I finally got around to watching this. Actually, I watched it twice. It's a really good movie regarding the writing, directing, acting, etc., and I found the story idea to be interesting. But, for a drama, I found myself emotionally detached from it. Not sure why; maybe I just didn't relate to the characters or something.
  8. It's a little late to answer you now, but.... the 5-hour Energy shot rocks. I don't like most other energy drinks, and caffeine doesn't do too much for me, but there is something about this little drink that just works - not sure which ingredient it is. No jitters or anything, but I usually just drink half of one at a time. Also, I find that eating nuts or a PB sandwich with OJ is a good energy boost. But if I'm doing the head bob thing... I go for the 5-hour Energy (well, I guess it's 2.5-hour Energy since I only drink half ;-).
  9. Probably. But if he started out wanting to "build bridges" what would cause him to do something so horrible? Who knows... Way too little information to psychoanalyze the dude. But... I had read about this case elsewhere, and I was under the impression that he started writing anti-Muslim sentiments in his diary after a trip to Afghanistan, which I believe was after he had volunteered at the interfaith place(???) And it sounded like he had a possible history with alcohol abuse, which commonly causes "Jekyll and Hyde"-type behavior.
  10. Sounds like a confused young man with a drinking problem.
  11. Hey, I didn't say anything about "making good" on any of the flirting. I am all talk.
  12. There are boobies in SC??? I just come here to flirt with the moderators.
  13. Well, there was Passive Arts, but someone burned it down . . .

    DnD

I played it when I was a kid, thanks to one of my teachers, and it was quite fun. Almost 40 now, and haven't played it since then, but I am interested.......
  15. "This is life... What a fucked up thing we do... What a nightmare come true... Or a playground if we choose... And I choose."
  16. They can both be done at the same time.
  17. As if there has never been any personal questions asked in Bonfire.... As for the position, I'd choose frogtied with . . . Oh, nevermind.
  18. I've yet to see any type of demon worship at any drop zone, . . . I think some might view the excessive beer worship and other types of drug use to be a "demonic influence" in the sport. Seriously? I don't think I've ever even seen anyone praying at a dropzone. Well, not that I was aware of.
  19. DPH's - Corsets Remster & Ryoder - Spandex Amstadler - Fishnets Skymama - Spanking paddles Shotgun - Bondage Banesanura - Latex and Leather Ladydyver - FMH's Bolas - Dildos and Thongs (The kind of customers I would have would not be scared off by Bolas in a thong.)
  20. How can you tell? are they required to have it tattooed on their foreheads? The tattoos are not required yet, but if the Muslims get their way.... From the news I have read about it, it is usually reported as people from the local Christian churches and some Republican groups that are doing the protesting.
  21. Have you tried using ebay's Resolution Center? I have used it as a buyer before, but I think sellers can open a case too. I found it very helpful when I and the seller disagreed on what the resolution should be, but in my case the seller was pretty obviously at fault. Your case is not so clear, but maybe they can help. Plus, I think part of the resolution is that you cancel the transaction before giving any refund. And I'm pretty sure the buyer cannot leave feedback once this happens. (I was not able to leave feedback in my case, though I sure would have liked to.)
  22. Ebay's policy is that if the item is not as described in the auction, then it is the seller's responsibility to refund the full price of the item plus the original shipping (not responsible for return shipping). You might be stuck here if you clearly stated that it was working. (I avoid buying or selling electronics on ebay for this reason - it comes down to buyer's vs. seller's word as to when the item quit working.) There is probably info on ebay or someone you could contact to find out what you're supposed to do in this case.
  23. There is a proposed mosque in my area (Temecula, CA - pretty far away from Ground Zero), and it is being protested too. Seems to be mostly Christians and Republicans, saying that a mosque in our area will make us a hub for Islamic extremism, and that the Muslims are trying to shut Christianity down - stuff like that. Sounds to me like people are just using the "Ground Zero" factor as an excuse to protest the NY mosque and get national attention for it. A lot of the people protesting would probably be against it anyway, but this way they can sound like they're not "anti-Muslim," just "anti-Muslim-near-Ground-Zero" (which sounds a little less intolerant).
  24. Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" (NIN) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go&feature=related His "Personal Jesus" was good too.
