  1. Does it also have "auto pilot" for driving home from the Bombshelter??? That's what I need!

    New WTC

Looks like the WTC might be replaced with something even taller... http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=519&ncid=519&e=2&u=/ap/20030204/ap_on_re_us/attacks_redevelopment_2
  3. That's funny... Maverick has always been one of my favorite names for a little boy, and Lily is one of my favorite names for a girl - so I vote for those two! They are very "western/saloon-sounding" though (but I'm a Texan so of course I like them! ;-)
  4. SWEET!!! This sounds like a dream come true! Can I be your bitch, Mike? I'm tired of being treated like an equal. As long as we can throw in a little Jack Daniels with the BonBons, I'll be one happy little puppy Oh wait, is Rich reading this!!!???
  5. So were you going to the gym to actually work out? Or just to look at girls' asses? And which gym did you decide to join? (so I'll know which one to avoid)
  6. I finally got to use it at the Perrine last summer (and it works beautifully I must say!)... But due to a serious turn of events, my life has been all work and no play since then... :-( But that will change eventually... ;-) As for the rigging course, I've decided to hold off for now until I have more free time (and $). I'm not planning to do any more BASE jumping any time soon, so I'll just wait until I'm ready for that again...
  7. I like the tandem BASE with twin sister... those girls must be from Texas
  8. Here's a picture of Sister Skybytch at the convent... (Not work safe... unless you work at Square One ;-) http://images.amazon.com/images/P/1561631922.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
  9. Hi Crystal, I went through this same ordeal buying my first container because I have a small frame too. I ended up buying a Vector 3 Micron, and I've been very happy with it. It is a very short and narrow rig, and I think Relative Workshop is one of the highest quality manufacturers... And the Vector appears to me to be the best design as far as safety goes (IMHO). My only complaint is that it packs very tight. I have one that is made for 120/120, which is exactly what I have in it and it is very hard to pack (though I somehow managed to pack my 135 in it when I first got it!) I think if you got one cut for the 135 main that it would be tight with the 135 in it, but then it would hold the 120 comfortably. (This advice might be wrong if you live in a very humid climate - I'm out here in Perris where it's very dry, so that makes everything pack tighter.) Now I have been selling skydiving equipment for the past two years, and I have seen a lot of different rigs that fit small women very well - Javelin, Wings, Talon, Voodoo, Infinity, Mirage (and the Micron of course)... so I would recommend any one of these containers. I won't claim to be an expert on gear, but I have had a lot of experience with different containers and dealing with the problems of being small in this sport... but I think there are now enough small women in the sport that most manufacturers are able to make containers to fit us well ;-) Good luck!
  10. I'm not so sure about Frank being a hippie... With that new haircut he looks more like a yuppie now. And don't you actually have to love at least somebody to be a hippie? Oh, wait... he does love the kittens - when he's not killin' 'em
  11. Nawww, they're calling in with the hopes that they can listen in and get free phone sex. Ok, now all I have to say to that is... GROSS!!!! (no offense, Mike ;-)
  12. Hey Steve, Thanks for the nice comments about Square One! :-) I'm sure the only explanation for not hearing from L&B was that the email was somehow lost. They really do have about the best customer service in the industry, so I can't imagine they would have ignored your message. The ProTrack is an excellent product, and I'm sorry to hear you had trouble with yours. Unfortunately these things just happen sometimes - with any product... But L&B's products are usually very high-quality - sounds like you just (unluckily) got the rare dud. I'm sure the new one will work out great for you! Blue Skies
  13. Hey! Just because YOU got in trouble for the little "dancing on the bar" scenario that Mike and I instigated... that does NOT make ME evil!
  14. Now that you mention it.... Hey Bytch! What's up with that!!!???
  15. I hear the first transsexual surgery went off without a hitch and there are no adverse side effects from the hormone therapy. Yes, I am surprised at how much better Steve (or is it Stevie now?) looks as a woman! Who would have thunk it??? I'm a bit jealous that he now has larger breasts than I, but at least mine are real!
  16. Yeah, you better say that, Dear... If you know what's good for you!
  17. That's all I wanted to say
  18. Well there's one moderator out of the way... Now we can be BAD!!!!!
  19. Thanks, Mike... that was actually funny for once
  20. ummmmm...Keely ended up with the Gummy Cock.....I know you want one too..... And I'm proud to say it really does taste like strawberries
  21. I was cleaning blood off of a rented canopy... I believe it was Sudsyfist's blood... and the weird freeflyer dude (well one of them) came over and offered to help me... and the rest is history... ;-)
  22. Yikes! With all this talk about females getting hurt less at my dz - I just realized I am totally setting myself up to be the next female injury (for the sake of irony). So I now take it ALL back and I am knocking on wood as I post this...

    Rigger Training?

I'm surprized to hear that. I thought a significant amount of the training before the first jump focussed on packing. I'd have thought/hoped this would be thorough enough that you would then be confident of jumping your own pack job (packed under supervision of course). I took the course from BR. I think their course varies from class to class. Sometimes they hold the class in Perris and sometimes they hold it at the Perrine. I think when they do it at Perris, they spend more time on packing. When it is held at the Perrine I think the weather decides a lot of what goes on. (If the weather is bad they spend that time packing - if it's good the whole time they jump the whole time and pack in between jumps.) Of course they do call it a "First Jump Course" and not a "BASE Rigging Course" so it's not like they're promising you'll be an expert packer when you're done. They emphasize during the course that this is not enough training to just go out and start BASE jumping all on your own - that you should still be learning from experienced BASE jumpers. Actually I think even if we had done a full day of packing, I would still be considering rigger training. Packing (and rigging) just seems so important in BASE that I would really like to have it drilled into my head as much as possible.
