I think it's fun to discuss my other (non-skydiving-related) interests with other skydivers. I don't think I've ever even opened one of the gun control threads though, because it doesn't interest me. It's pretty easy to skip over threads, so why are you getting so upset about this? Like this one?

Edited to say: I agree that everyone should just skip over the threads they're not interested in, rather than complain about it... but the moderators have to read pretty much everything, so they probably get pretty sick of seeing the same debates over and over and over again.

Ouch, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your gear. I too have seen that USPS makes it really difficult to claim on the insurance, so I agree that it's a good idea to use Fedex or UPS when shipping anything of value.

Yes... Politics like who is buying the next round, and who will be the next person to get thrown in the pool, and will we get banned from the Bombshelter for dancing on the bar again...

I am curious to hear others' views on these subjects... but unfortunately most of those threads just turn into nasty arguments and it becomes hard to sort through them to find any valuable input.
