  1. Like what? I have something for you to eat.
  2. I've jumped there before. It's a cool dz. I was a little freaked out by all the trees, but that's only because I'm used to jumping where there are lots of outs - just means you need to be extra careful when spotting so that you don't have to land off. But it's a beautiful place and the people all seemed to be pretty cool.
  3. This one is cool : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35825&item=6137040546&rd=1 And Val: Cool leg lamp! I want one!
  4. I've always had a thing for Gibson SG's... Ooh, look at the pretty SG: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=guitar/search/bigpid/base_id/35995/
  5. I was just listening to Pantera's cover of "Planet Caravan"... that has always been a favorite. But now it sounds more sad than it used to.
  6. I was wondering if the date had any significance, or if it was just a coincidence. I was just reading a news article that mentioned something about lots of dimebag stuff on ebay, so I went and had a look... There are about 350 new listings (from today) of dimebag merchandise, and some people are already selling "dimebag memorial" stuff. Wow, some people have no dignity. He's not even buried yet and these people are rushing out to make a quick buck off of his murder.
  7. One of the witnesses said that the gunman yelled something at Darrell about breaking up Pantera right before he shot him. The guy must have had some serious mental problems. Very sad that some nutcase can just go and take someone else's life away so easily.
  8. Wow, what a way to go... very sad for all his friends and family. He was an amazing guitarist. I remember seeing him play for the first time at Joe's Garage in Fort Worth when I was 18, and I was completely mesmerized. I've seen him play many times since then and he always just blew me away. He was such a gifted musician. I think tonight I'll listen to Cowboys from Hell and drink a couple of blacktooths in his honor.
  9. Thanks for the heads up... Very good show... even though it did make me cry several times. Very well done, Jeb... and Karin too.
  10. According to one of my ex-boyfriends, _I_ am evil... and, well, he's probably right... So yeah, I guess I do believe in evil. How does that saying go??? Something like, "I don't trust anything that bleeds for seven days and doesn't die."
  11. I listen to all kinds of music, but I don't think any of it would necessarily be considered "weird" (depending on who you ask)... Well, except for maybe that Teletubbies CD I sometimes listen to...
  12. Yes, I am bad... I pretty much have to be dying to go to the doctor. I was a somewhat sickly kid though, so I think I spent more than my fair share of time at doctors' offices, which didn't seem to help much... so that's probably why I now avoid them as much as possible.
  13. Oh yeah, that one too... I don't remember liking the Tears for Fears version, but I love the Gary Jules cover.
  14. Johnny Cash's version of "Personal Jesus"... I never cared for the original, but Johnny's version really gets to me.
  15. If I am with my sister at xmas, we always watch "A Christmas Story"... I keep thinking of having one of those big leg lamps in the "FRAGILE" box sent to her sometime, but it's kinda expensive for a joke and I don't think she would actually use it... (since she's not a weirdo like me - it would fit right in with my decorating style!) I'll sometimes watch some of the other old shows, but nothing in particular... Well, the South Park Christmas special with Mr. Hanky is always good.
  16. Well, I think it has to be the offender... Hmm, trying to think of a mean name to call you, but I'm having trouble... You... You... You... Canadian.
  17. Aren't you supposed to enforce the new spanking rule for personal attacks?
  18. Well, at least you got the quote right... But now you're plagiarizing Jesus for godsakes!
  19. Well, as you can tell by looking at his avatar, he has every right to judge the appearance of everyone else. I'm sure all the hot young 19-21 year old girls are lined up outside his door. The charismatic personality alone probably sweeps them off their feet.
  20. Apparently not... Well, not if it means less business for the pharmaceutical companies... But you're more than welcome to brew as much beer as you want... It's much better to kill your liver than your lungs anyway (after all, the liver is much better at repairing itself)... And I'm sure those who want to keep marijuana illegal are only looking out for our health, of course.
  21. I can't even begin to list all of the presents I have bought... Christmas is a big thing in my family, and just my "immediate" family is huge... Luckily I enjoy buying gifts for all of my dysfunctional weird family members... One of my favorites this year is The Zombie Survival Guide that I bought for my little brother. I also got some cool notecards for one of my sisters that are made from origami paper, with instructions on the back of each one on how to fold it into a certain shape. Oh, and I got the "I'd Like a Virgin" CD by Richard Cheese for my brother-in-law... but I ordered it from Amazon and couldn't see the back cover... so when it arrived I was surprised to see that it had a picture on the back cover of a big-boobed chick in a white t-shirt that says "I LOVE DICK"... Now I just wish I could be there to see him open it because he has a tendency to turn bright red when he's embarrassed.
  22. 1. AD, your new avatar is freaking me out. 2. I thought she looked pretty sexy in the Gap ad, but then I'm a freak. 3. I seriously doubt that she wears as much makeup in "real life" as she was wearing in that ad (as is true for most actresses/models). Pretty much anyone that you see on TV is probably wearing a buttload of makeup, whether it looks like it or not... (And a bad makeup job can make someone look like they've aged considerably.)
  23. Shotgun, I agree with everything you wrote here except this one sentence. As a Christian, I do not believe it is my place to demand that someone 'repent of their sin'. It is my belief we're all sinners and have our own repenting to do. As for people who commit criminal acts, once again, same standard...but they must face the judicial system. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply all Christians... I was referring to the judgemental Christians they are talking about in the article: And from reading your posts, I would not consider you to be a judgemental person.
  24. Hmm, I'm a liberal and I have already said I disagree with what that school is doing regarding their teachings of Thanksgiving. Perhaps you could have worded it better by saying "some liberals"... And looking at that article again, I thought this was sort of funny (emphasis mine): If they're that concerned about leaving religion out of everything, then maybe they should change the name of their county.
  25. Yes, that's probably one of the worst pairings. An agnostic might be ok (as an S/O for me), but that's about it... Being happily married to another atheist, I really can't imagine having as good of a relationship with someone who didn't share my beliefs on this particular subject. And of course, I am only referring to myself... I'm sure there are many atheists who do not feel the same way. Some people might be more compromising in this area than I am.
