  1. Speaking of sudsy, where IS he?
  2. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to do this. I can't believe it took so long. rl Me too, but I thought it was supposed to be 36/24/36.
  3. Or maybe she just doesn't care about the other person's age??? I used to be married to someone who was 14 years older than me. I certainly wasn't desperate or out for money; I just happened to like him. (Obviously it didn't work out, but I don't think our age difference had anything to do with it.) Since I don't know any of these people personally, I have no idea who is the best match for Demi or whether Ashton has any better choices available to him (and I can't say that I really care anyway).

I don't know... It looks interesting, but I'm scared...
  5. Hmm, I haven't seen that one... but I did see an ad for something about ice skating with celebrities, or something like that, and it looked sort of dangerous... and I was wondering, "What the....???" But yeah, coming up with ideas for new reality shows might be a fun job... as long as they don't mind me using Jack Daniels to enhance my "creativity"...
  6. Good idea... it may need to involve regular trips to male strip clubs so that we can be desensitized to their suggestive actions... or perhaps it should involve reciprocating the suggestive actions on the male strippers so that we can regain our sense of power... or perhaps doing both would be the best therapy.
  7. Wow, aren't you glad that you asked for opinions on here? I, too, was sexually assaulted by a male stripper one time - well, actually three of them... They pulled me on stage and forced me to sit in a chair and watch while they danced suggestively all around me in their skimpy little thongs... It was horrible.
  8. The resolution that it gave me was to "Start working on the street corner." Considering the neighborhood that I live in, I assume that means that I will be standing on the street corner and waving one of those arrow signs that points to a new subdivision. As for the tests, I don't think that my scores need to be made public.
  9. Then it probably will be... And, well, it would be kinda silly to get married if that's what you think of it.
  10. They are sexy, dangerous, and sometimes practical too.
  11. That depends on what you mean by "the world" - do you mean the human race, the universe, or something else? Well, not that we can predict when any of that will end; however, I do think that the human race will die off at some point, but that the universe itself (meaning "all matter and energy") is infinite. Of course, part of the vanity in human nature is that we tend to think of ourselves as "the world."
  12. Hmm, the marriage contract thing doesn't sound like it would work any better than the current marriage situation. I don't think that a change in the paperwork would make custody battles or dividing property any easier on a couple who are no longer getting along. I do agree that the "until death do us part" bit is now somewhat of a novelty, because there are certainly reasons that are legitimate for getting a divorce; it just wouldn't sound very nice to include all of those reasons in the vows, but you could if you wanted to. And of course you can write prenups for just about anything you can think of... I think marriage has different meanings to different people. For us, the vows were just a silly formality and they don't really have anything to do with what our marriage means to us. I suppose we could have rewritten the vows to have more personal meaning, but I don't think that either of us were too concerned about it at the time...
  13. This is true. In fact, I was just sitting here wishing that I could be a victim.
  14. The soundtrack to Chronicle III is one of my favorites.
  15. Or maybe Remi was referring to Transcutaneous Electrical Moron Stimulation.
  16. But it (drug abuse) is supposed to be "victimless". Stealing and child neglect are crimes with victims, and heroin use may lead to these crimes, but the drug use itself does not directly have victims (other than the user, but "victimless" refers to victims other than oneself). But when I think of "victimless" crimes associated with drug use, I think more along the lines of marijuana. I would vote for the legalization of marijuana but it is very unlikely that I would vote for the legalization of heroin.
  17. Your sig line is funny. Oh, and Trainspotting is a great movie, though a bit unpleasant to watch.
  18. So a BJ is not sex? I knew it, I knew it!!!! Well, sweet... I think we all have a few "get out of jail free" cards now!
  19. Sometimes words/prefixes have more than one meaning. In this case, "homo" does not mean "the same." But I'm sure you already knew that...
  20. Yes, that is what the word was intended to mean and does mean. But for some reason, people try to use etymology to say it means "fear of mankind," and that is not how the word was derived. Anyhow, I didn't mean to hijack the thread to talk about word origins, so I think I'll leave that alone now...
  21. Oops, you're right - Greek. But that is where the word "homophobia" originally came from, the Greek words homos ("the same") and phobos ("fear").
  22. He has etymology confused with usage. The "homo-" part of the word is derived from a Latin word meaning "the same," so I think he is confused about it having anything at all to do with mankind.
  23. Hmm, I have yet to see a dictionary that defines "homophobia" as "fear of mankind."
