  1. I believe in 8 your Ten Commandments as good things for all humans to follow. But what is the #1 sin I am commiting right now? The fact that I have not accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior and because of this, I will burning in hell for eternity. I'm sorry I don't buy it and I am sick and tired of Christians (not all of them of course) knocking at my door to tell me otherwise. Leave me alone and let me take my chances facing your loving yet so willing to punish God. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Hypocrisy at it’s finest. I have spent time in Colorado Springs. I was exposed to the “Focus on the Family” people, their God and their Devil. Dude I want nothing to do with your God who is so loving that he is ready to punish. I do not believe in your doctrine, so please stop trying to spread your rhetoric. The world would be a lot safer if the three major religions would just isolate themselves in a corner, get on killing each other and leave the rest of us alone. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. I was not specifically trying to pick on you (hence the reason why I said all of us) ... I was just pointing out that the vast majority of us SC posters are opinionated and well there is also a lot of hypocricy here. I too try and be consistent. But I'm sure I slip up with my own hypocricy from time to time. No argument Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. The walls I am referring to are not necessarily the physical ones we see right in front of our faces like an international border. No the walls I speak of are more ideological and more global. If America wishes to isolate itself from the world, then so be it. But if that is the case, stop flexing your muscles around the globe. You are not winning any friends with your current leadership's approach. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. That depends. Has your brother done something that will make Roger Waters take notice of him? Keep building those walls ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. The USA needs to move more towards the center (from the right) when it comes to healthcare and a place like Canada also needs to move more towards the center (from the left). If you have money, the USA is a great place to be. But the problem is, is that the middle class is getting squeezed and under your system, sooner or later no one will be able to afford healthcare except the ultra rich (ceos, doctors and lawyers) ... all the while we here in Canada are just on the road to have no medical professionals period since they all migrated down to the USA for the $$$. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. First off don't talk about immigration because the USA is in no position to be telling the rest of the World how it should be controlled. When you people tell skilled workers who speak your language and who integrate into your society very easily that they are no longer welcome all the while ignoring your addiction to cheap illegal foreign labour, well what can I say. Now I considered myself a friend of the USA, but you guys are letting people like GWB build your walls and you continue to thumb your noses at the rest of the world. If you don't change your ways sooner or later you will have no friends. Life with no friends is not a place none of us wants to be. This thread was started to give the fans of Roger Waters and Pink Floyd who support GWB and who happen to have tickets to a future Roger Waters concert a heads up of what to expect. Just be warned that Mr Waters will be coming to town and he won't be afraid to tell you what he thinks of your hero and he has some damn good arguments to back up his message. The question remains, are some of you open to listening to that message, or is your wall too big and too opaque to see through it all. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. And coach will try to find another little girl I am in no way defending this guy. Of course a 40 year old marrying a teenager is wrong. I am in my 40s myself and know damn well that someone that young is to be avoid for the very same reason you are ready and willing to crucify the dude. But you don't know that he will go after another teenager. If these two did NOT violate the locals laws, then let them be. If you don't agree with the current laws, well then do what you need to do to change those laws. But while we all know it is wrong, if they did not break the law, then they did not break the law. She is still a young girl. Once she matures into a woman, she will see the huge mistake she has made. It is just unfortunate that her parents and her peers did not give her better advice. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. In time she will see the error in her decision. Their marriage will not last. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. We see what we want to see. Yeah, it's a bit ironic that NCclimber can't see the title of the thread. I think each and everyone one of us here is an opinionated hypocrite (you, me, NCClimber and everyone else). All that we can seem to agree on is that we agree to disagree with each other. Oh well .. we're human ... we are not all that. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. Unfortunately I often pay little attention to the Bonfire since threads pop up and die faster than insects around here. But for those of us who have been lucky enough to see Roger Waters and his gang, we know what a great experience it was. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. LMAO ... my friend I would love to join in the Fat Tire. But they don't sell them up here. But we do have something similar. Big Rock!!! So let us rejoice in our beers and continue to worship the thing that is most important to us skydivers ... the well maintained and thus reliable skydiving rig, our own altitude awareness and our ability to make smart decisions under canopy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Not arguing with you Robert ... just backing up what you wrote. 1) There is no way in hell that I can prove there is no God. So I am not an atheist. 2) There is no way in hell that I can prove there is a God, so I am not religious. what does that make me? Agnostic ... but I hate it when the religious think I am an atheist cause they can't seem to see the difference. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  15. whatever side you are on, doesn't this piss you off when you are paid to hear a performance? At least, they could put it in a song as lyrics, then you get what you paid for One wonders if Roger Waters was using Calgary (Canada's most right wing city) as a testing ground for his material. If he can pull it off here, maybe he can pull it off in the south. But fret not people, the 2nd half of the show is the entire "Dark side of the moon" album and was truly outstanding. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. I was lucky enough to be able to catch Roger Waters in concert this weekend and it was one of the best shows you will see. The professionalism, the sound quality and artistry was out of this world. In fact for the 2nd half of the show we were on the Dark Side of the Moon. If you are a fan of Pink Floyd and/or Roger Waters and you happened to live near a city that is on his schedule, run don’t walk to your nearest Ticket Master and/or scalper to obtain some tickets. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

If you are a fan of Pink Floyd and/or Roger Waters and you happened to live near a city that is on his schedule, run don’t walk to your nearest Ticket Master and/or scalper to obtain some tickets. However … (the reason why this thread is here and not in the Bonfire) If you think of George Bush as your hero and/or you believe that all of America and/or all of the world needs to be adopting your Christian right wing values. You might think twice about going to the show because Roger Waters will not be afraid to voice his opinions about your beloved GWB and how the Christian right is forcing their agenda on America and the rest of world. And while I went to the show wanting to hear Pink Floyd’s music and not listen to someone else’s politics, most of the things Roger Waters was saying were hard to argue. Since when is building a wall around you thought of as progress? Did we or did we not celebrate when the Berlin Wall came down? If we celebrated, then why do some of you continue to endorse the walls George Bush is building? You have been warned … Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Wasn't that the war where a bunch of future Canadians invaded the USA, made their way to Washington DC and burned the White House down to the ground? Damn war mongering 'nucks. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. What are you doing with my nuts and berries? and how dare you imply that I'm a hermit. Not if you'll excuse me, I need to draw the blinds at my home and shut myself out from the world. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. Not a bad idea if you don't want to look like you've got a bad case of chicken pox. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Well I'm going to blame Canada. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Do I care that Saddam was using chemicals weapons against the Kurds. Yes I did think that that was wrong. But it does not justify invading a country, killing thousands and thousands of people, and occupying their country. If you are so concerned about the possible genocide going on around the world, why is your country not invading Africa to help the people of D'Arfur? What about what happened in Chechnya? That was not a personal attack Was I wrong to label you a GWB supporter? I guess I was wrong. I make mistakes in my life. I am not all that. But if you go back to look at the history of this thread, I was responding to another person's post and then you came in to defend that person's stance and then I assumed you were a GWB supporter. I don't know about you, but I can't possibly follow every word in every thread here. But does that mean I am ignorant and that I have reading comprehension skills? So in the future I will try and remember that you are not a GWB supporter and will try and avoid labeling you as one. Now my rubber skin is back on so if anyone else is interested in throwing things my way ... now is your chance. PS: I don't agree with everything Amazon says. But I do agree with her in how we feel America has taken the wrong fork in the road these last 4+ years since GWB decided to wage war all because he thinks his God told him it was okay to do it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. This tactic has been used throughout history with great success. Take something you don't like and associate with something negative until they become synonymous. (Particularly successful amongst the ignorant.) LOL ... just like the dislike some Yanks had for Saddam and how they tried to use what Saddam did to the Kurds to justify invading and occupying Iraq. Careful there dude ... hypocricy can be an ugly thing. Don't ever forget the USA created Saddam and gave him his powers. Oh and it's a good thing I have thick skin and let certain comments bounce off of me. But you did violate a form rule in a previous post of yours with a PA. But I don't care and there is no need to a Greenie to step in ... what goes around comes around. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Why are some Americans so egar to start wars around the world? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Not even close ... Look how much swooping has evolved these last 5 years. The best has yet to come.
