So, about the so-called right to self defense in Britain

Roman Catholic Church only true church, says Vatican
CanuckInUSA replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
Hey nobody else reported this story. So I decided to start the thread. Remember I am not the one telling the world there is only "one" true church. But the Pope and the Vatican are. I'm agnostic ... I don't know if there is or isn't a God. But if there is one, I am pretty sure it is not the man made God humans have created. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Roman Catholic Church only true church, says Vatican

Since I don't believe in the Burble (I believe Hey-Zuess walked this earth and believe he was crucified ... but I do not believe all the other stories about him). So I have already booked a first class ticket to hell and this is coming from more than the Catholic church. It comes from all Christians. No I prefer to sit this one on the side lines and watch the Christians go at each other. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -

I see the Pope and the Vatican are at it again with this story. LMAO ... let the religious war of words begin. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
"Gopher tourism" aka "The Caddyshack Vacation"
CanuckInUSA replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Sign me up, sounds like a fun day ... and while we are at it can we shoot the PETA hippie fruitcakes who are protesting this story while we are shooting the gophers? Some of those people are out of touch with reality as to the damage these rodents do the the land when left unchecked. BTW Robert what are you doing cruising the CBC web sites. Boning up on your socialism? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
GWB went into Iraq thinking he could fight a conventional war. The man is a complete and utter moron. Once again the idiot never bothered to ask anyone about the history the Sunis and Shia have with each other. This mission was doomed to fail before it even started. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Give your head a shake. You speak as if Red Dawn happened. Red Dawn was nothing more than patriotic apple pie Hollywood fiction. Iraq is the reality of GWB's stupidity and America's greed. Why did America invade Iraq? The world was told it was because of WMD. Yet now you tell us America invaded to ... what was the reason you spewed out? You need to get your facts straight. America invaded Iraq to control it's oil and to have it's military in the middle east. GWB is such an idiot that he never bothered to ask someone about the history of the Sunis and the Shia. Stop watching Hollywood's garbage and it's sick interpretation of the world. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

The FACTS are that the Iraqis lived in a country that was invaded by America. ANYTHING the Iraqis did to reclaim what was stolen from them was justifiable, and not terrorist. The Americans had no entitlement to what they tried to take. The Iraqis had every entitlement to kill to keep it or reclaim it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

SiCKO - What are your thoughts on Michael Moore's new film?
CanuckInUSA replied to Newbie's topic in Speakers Corner
I have not seen it yet. But my question many posts ago has still not been answered. In this movie does Moore say or imply that there is universal dentalcare in Canada? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Unless we're talking about some really sloppy packing techniques here, for sure he wouldn't be asking us about hard openings if he was jumping a Spectre. Spectres are great all around canopies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Ummm, go first? Going first doesn't solve the potential issue if the person leaving after you insists on pulling much lower than you. Last summer I encounter some severe attitudes from a number of accuracy guys I shared the hop n' pop loads with and the total unwillingness to work with me (ie: come to an agreement of who exists first and who pulls at what altitude). In their minds they will always be right and swoopers are just some form of cancer. Of course this does not apply to all accuracy jumpers, just this small set. This thread needs to get back on track since in typical fashion here in SC ... the only thing we seem to agree on is to disagree with each other. I'm sorry I brought up the experience thing. So who thinks the respective US and Canadian medical systems are fine just the way they are and who thinks changes are needed? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -

Experience and wisdom are related to living life. Sure some people never actually live life. But from a generic point of view, living life is related to the number of years we get to experience and the number of things we get exposed to in those years. Once again to have someone tell us that we are in these horrible economic times right now just shows those of us who have experienced worse how much that person still has to ... I hate to say it ... experience. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Freestyle is it's own entity ... but for all the others, if you don't make the gates you don't score. It's as simple as that. In his own words look at what Ian said about his last PST performance. He made very few mistakes on all his jumps and because of this he cracked the top 10 overall. Sure if you want to try and compare yourself to the big guns, you can try and look at something like distance. But unless you are jumping at the same DZ, at the same event, on the same load with the same WX conditions. The results can be very deceiving at times. Take the final distance round of the 2006 CPC Championships. Load #1 had downwind conditons, load #2 had stiff head wind conditions and load #3 had light to nil head winds. Not fair to compare the distance results from all three loads, but the rules are the rules and we have to accept what Mother Nature gives you. Tom Delbac (sp?) likely would have won last year's CPC Championships had he not been on load #2. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

There are plenty of smart people who are young and dumb people who are old. Geez Butters it is rather unfortunate that you (not me) choose to use words such as "smart" and "dumb" when my message was about life experiences. So in a generic sense that applies to the masses, who is going to have more life experiences ... the know it all teenager/young adult or the person who's been on the planet for ... I don't know let's say 60+ years? To have someone who never experienced a recession like what we had in the early 80s (let alone the great depression which was way before most of our times) tell us that we are in a very bad recession right now just shows us their lack of life experiences compared to someone who is older. I am not a follower of Michael Moore and if he is indeed spreading some untruths in the movie, people need to be aware of this. But in the same breath you are absolutely right that people like Michael Moore have every right to question the system. It is scary to see how many followers on the extreme right are all to willing to take the rights aware from the common citizen. What ever happened to freedom of speech? Or does that freedom only apply to those who follow the views of the extreme right? The current US medical system needs to be addressed just as the Canadian medical system. Both are flawed. The US system is all about making money and it is squeezing the middle class out of care while the Canadian system is just broken period with very few healthcare professionals left to care for the masses. The US needs to move more to the center from the right while Canada needs to more to the center from the left. Finally … oh it’s it amusing to see the young know it all cocky males of this world tell us how things work. I remember what it was like to be young, to think you know it all and to not be afraid to tell people how the world works. But the funny thing is as we age, we learn from our life experiences and we look back and say to ourselves “WTF was I thinking … damn I did not know shit back then”. In 1995 as a young very much casing the Jones’s new entrepreneur and I entered into a business venture with a gentleman 10+ years my senior. When things did not go the way I wanted them to go, there I was trying to tell this guy how life and business should work. But he in a mature way said something very simple and very profound to me that has never left my mind since: “I am older than you, I have more life experiences than you, I know more about these things than you do”. How could I argue with the guy? Everything he was saying was true. I was young and cocky but you better believe it was a learning experience. So I hope for his sake the people like “airkid” are smart enough to realize that some older people have more life experiences than he does and that he soon realizes that he is not all that, that he is making a huge mistake to not listen to people who are older and more experienced than him. Of course who am I kidding, the guy obviously knows it all. We all did at that age. LMAO. Carry on folks … if Michael Moore is spreading his lies; let’s expose them so that people are more informed. But if one thing good does come from this movie, is that it opens up some good dialogue as to how to make the various healthcare systems better so that the middle class (the vast majority of us) are given at least some sort off access to medical coverage. I have a question for those who have seen this movie. I read somewhere that Moore speaks of a woman in the movie who needed major dental work but could not get it because she lived paycheck to paycheck. Now I am under the impression that Moore said this would never happen in Canada? Huh? Dental work is not covereged up here under out socialized system. If someone needs major dental work here and they can't afford it, well they lose their teeth just as a poor person in America would. Is Michael Moore spreading lies? Where did he get his information that Canadians have universal dental care? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Hi Smiles (karen). Canadayfireworks 1 through 3 are really cool and I enjoyed the wallcenter pic since it shows the building I used to work in last summer and I would look at the under construction wall center building almost on a daily basis tempted to huck myself off of it. But I never had the ##### (you know what) to do it since downtown Vancouver is littered with power lines from the street cars. But you sure that first Canadayfireworks picture wasn't an IED from Bagdad or Khandahar? LOL ... I don't want to get too policital here. Thanks for the pics. Happy Birthday America and Happy belated Birthday to Canada. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Flaming Car Rams into Terminal at Glasgow Airport
CanuckInUSA replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
It is kind of disturbing to hear that all these alleged UK terror suspects are medical professionals and to add further twist to this story, I caught a news story this morning on Canadian TV of how we were celebrating fast tracking foreign medical professionals into our own system since well we hardly have any of our own doctors anymore (Michael Moore are you listening … despite what you try and spin with your own propaganda … Canada’s medical system is not the superior model the world should follow). Anyway, I am sure some of our new doctors don’t want to kill me. But in light of what happened in the UK, do we really know who we so openly let into our respective countries? Oh to be Canadian these days means you are naïve. To be Canadian means you think everyone in the world likes only you because you open your doors to them … no questions asked. I thought that since the female body (in many, not all) cases is a work or art while the male body is pretty much a sperm donor, I thought there was only one way to do a threesome (and the poll results so far confirm this). Two girls and one sperm donor. Of course to be that sperm donor is cool. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Okay while I no longer live in the US (some of you know this and some don't) but ... I just wanted to wish my American friends on the other side of the border a happy 231st birthday today. I'm sure most of you are not on DZ.COM today. But that's okay. Happy Birthday America. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
