So....I guess you finally found the "Joe" we went looking for at last year's WFFC. Isn't it dangerous for you ladies to be jumping with tweezers and a microscope ?

This always makes me grin.... Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

Exactly right. That's the true test of how great "an album" is. Animals ranks in my all-time Top 5. And my favorite quote (was my sig-line for awhile)... "Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of oblivion into the dream." As Howard Hessman once said..."Gripping."

I don't know....after I saw it was Clay wearing a toga, I tried not to look any closer. Wingnut, however, looks like a young Jean Harlow in his evening gown toga.

GREAT report ! I see a Pulitzer in your future, young man.

Hear, hear ! Well said. Unfortunately, you probably gave this long-term troll exactly the reaction he was looking for. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." -
Very interesting reading. Thanks, John. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

Did Wingnut make the shots ? Glad y'all are having fun. You all suck. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

September 4th, 2004....3:28 pm. Celebratory beer .....7:12 pm. Pie-ing......7:33 pm.

I was just channel-surfing, and watching ESPN Classic, when a guy with a yellow canopy and trailing a hand-made "Go Mets!" banner landed in the infield between the pitcher's mound and first base. Using my remarkable powers of deduction (given the third batter of the iniing was at the plate and the cops escorted the jumper off the field

Did you know that drinking a pint of Everclear is easier and faster than drinking like 30 beers ? I discovered that when I was like....20. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

Sigh. I miss TalkBack....the put-downs were much wittier back then. Now, everyone just wants to be serious, or make menu suggestions.

Barbequed mole rat, with a side of green beans. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

Don't let Clay fool you....he's quite a considerate fellow. Why, I've actually seen him sacrifice himself and drink gallons of other people's beer, in an effort to prevent THEM from being hungover the next morning. Truly a prince among men. Then she has time to learn a Bytch trick. One box of Giant Cheeze-Nips arriving tomorrow via Next Day Air.

I seriously doubt Brains just shit himself out of fear. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a report on the NBC Nightly News that scalpers on Ebay were doing a brisk trade in these, selling them for $5 a pop to people who didn't want to wait for backorders to be filled. I'm sure a lot of that $5 made it to the foundation. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

Happy Birthday, Dave ! Are you old enough to rent a car yet ?

Dammit, WrongWay took my answer. Ever since I saw that on here about a year ago, that has been my favorite bit of useless trivia. Well, useless to non-turtles, anyway.

Nort the Weedeater, off the "Live Tracks from Sheb's Honky-Tonk" album. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."

2:4:1 Beer owed for my first night jumps....that was totally cool. I think we did 7 Cessna loads between 10pm Saturday and 2am Sunday. On my hop-n-pop, I had a very scary few minutes when I couldn't find the DZ....opened with about 3 line twists, and still spinning up...by the time I kicked out, I had no idea where I was. I'd just made the decision to head for some streetlights to risk a road or yard landing when I saw the DZ off to one side. That was a huge relief, to say the least. On my second, I saw the LZ in freefall and during opening, so it was a LOT more enjoyable. Also added Bolas to my "List of DZ.Commers I've Met and Drank With."

There were several out-playing both of them then, too...Cliff Davies, John Densmore, Rick Downey, and Charlie Martin to name a few. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."
