Thanks for all the replies, folks.......you've certainly given me a lot of options to think about. I went to the Grand Canyon when I was a teenager, and have always wanted to go back and get some sunset pics of the surrounding area. It's beautiful, and also has a certain "alien" look to it. I will definitely bring every filter I've got. And I just bought another wide-angle lens last month. Sure...I'd welcome the company! But be forewarned -- I will be spending the entire day out there, and if you start whining about wanting to go back to Eloy and jump, you'll have to hike it. And I've heard you sing. (...note to self.....check Circuit City website for the loudest boombox they sell....and pack earplugs. And start praying that Andi doesn't sing louder than a Casa during takeoff.....)

At Rantoul I.... met tons of fun dot.communists.... did my first helicopter jump... got to introduce myself to Wingnut for the third time... chased a hot-air balloon all over southern Illinois / northern Kentucky for 6 hours on Sunday morning.... got rodeo'd for the first time (thanks Cora)... managed a stand-up landing on the 50-yard line.... got to watch RevJim change his hair color on a daily basis.... got to ogle b^2 -- what a cutie.... almost got launched off the golf cart numerous times by the Bytch (now I know why people say California drivers are the craziest)... got to meet Elvis (in a 4X4 stretch limo, no less).... met Sangiro (he must have had surgery recently, 'cause his head no longer has a green hue)... got to hang with a bunch of old friends..... got compliments about my SpongeBob pants from several ladies (unfortunately, none of them were older than 12)..... was thankful I DIDN'T get to see the giant CheezNips encounter with Lisa's ass......
