  1. Dear God you should see the size of the wings! I hope they didn't run out of tabs they use for the cutaway cord. It took me all day to run it through them all. Can't wait to see how it flies.
  2. Has anyone seen my friends? I can't seem to see any anywhere.
  3. Someone has to be out there that can match fall rates with Anvil. Count me in.
  4. Jeeze...You don't suppose?? Nah my Mom never particularly cared for men short enough to spawn a runt like you.
  5. Go ahead and brag chopchop. See how many friends that makes you with us lowly working class types. I'm just kidding really I love you like the brother I never wanted.
  6. Wow! I'm so glad I have you guys here for moral support in my time of need. Ahh oh wait a second what's that intense pain I feel in my back. Hey how did that knife get there?!?! Hey I wonder if we'll have one of the BirdMan instructors there. Maybe they'll bring that big yellow suit that was made for Vladi's for me and I can do my impression of Big Bird once again. Has anyone seen my friend Mr Snuffleupagus? Amazon, are you bringing Autumn "you know like fall, as in falls out of airplanes" along to this one too? Tell her that her old friends from Northern California miss her.
  7. Oh how I wish I had my suit now! I'm afraid I'm only just into the 6th week of the 6-8 week delivery expectancy. And I suspect that their production is backed up. Keep your fingers crossed. I'd love to get in a big flock dive more than anyone.
  8. I really have nothing to compare the S3 against as it was all I had the opportunity to fly. But I will say this. The first time I flew it I really did very little to take advantage of it's full potential. I was pretty surprised by how natural it felt. On the following three jumps I worked really hard on de-arching and putting tension on the wings to decrease my fall rate. I found this made me incredibly unstable. So much so that I actually had to totally collapse my wings to keep me from completely loosing control. While I realize the concept is valid I guess it will just take some more experience to do it right. So I guess my advice to anyone looking to make the S3 their first suit is to relax and don't try to do too much too soon. I'll be trying to follow my own advice when mine arrives, hopefully in the next month. Speaking of which has anyone received one recently? If so how long was the delivery time? I suspect that production is backed up but I ordered mine on August 8th and I'm really hoping to have it on time for the Byron Boogie on September 26th. Deuce buddy, You're on. Let's show em' how it's done.
  9. Actually Alana from Byron took some. All ground based but some real nice shots. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/afulvio2000
  10. For details on the Byron Boogie go to http://www.byronboogie.com/
  11. Pretty much everyone who calls Bay Area Skydiving their home dropzone will be there. I'm assuming that will include several DZ.com particants like Duece, SkyBaby, GirlFallDown, ChopChop, and Hookitt. TheAnvil, Amazon, LizzieB, Lummy, FreeFlys should be there too. Wild lemurs couldn't keep me away.
  12. Hey, I'm only dangerous when I'm not wearing a rig. And BTW .. Pot this is kettle, YOUR BLACK!!!
  13. Sounds like fun. I'll be there. Last year was great. This time tell the pilot to be more carefull with the plane though.
  14. I know what the line is. Remember? And, are you trying to say that your needs wouldn't be met with women climbing all over you? It was great to jump with you at the American Boogie. Too bad we didn't get to jump together at Rantoul. Next time, k?
  15. You know, SkyMama...I should have tried to climb him when he offered. Now that would have been a funny pic (or video). hmm....wonder if I can still climb him when I see TallGuy next time? Should have tried it in Rantoul. I feel so misunderstood. The line is not "Will you climb me?" It is "Have you ever been with a man you could climb before?" Now in all fairness you can feel free to come up with your own interpretation of what "been with" means. That said I have to ask the question "What about my needs?" As far as climbing me is concerned. While entertaining it is hardly challenging nor really worthy of bragging rights. The women that I have met that have truly impressed me and innocent bystanders were the ones that were able to have all 255 pounds of me climb on them and then proceed to carry me around. I have a special place in my heart for a lovely young lady in Lost Prairie who actually held me aloft on her shoulders (get ready for a whole new twist on the bar dive next year). Thanks for all the positive attention. I'm just waiting for it to go all Vanilla Ice on me though to the point in which I'm considered the biggest ass on the site. Until then I'll just sit back and glow thinking "They like me!, they really like me!"
  16. Chuck, You may have friends in this forum. But I'm not one of them.
  17. I used to get incredibly annoyed by it. After getting pissed during several nights on the town it occurred to me that is no way to go through life. Sure it's the same old conversations for me. But it's natural for everyone else to see it as a novelty and want to have fun with it. Since I changed my attitude on the topic I've found that I'm enjoying myself more around strangers and I'm making good friends far more easily. Eventually people get bored with it and we find new things to talk about. How do you feel about it Lew?
  18. I always get a kick out of skydivers that are afraid of heights.
  19. Deuce, It's a good thing you screwed up my line entirely or I'd have to bust you for copyright infringement. Now why do you want to go and use up one of my favorite surprises?
  20. Sorry to take so long to reply. Actually I think I was the cheapest sale on the auction block. In fact if I'm not mistaken I went for one third of what one of Carol's jars of salsa went for. Still I got a date with one of Byron's most stunning beauties just before she got taken off the market out of the deal so it was hardly a bad experience. As far as the coverboy for the Byron Boogie is concerned. I think we should use our beloved tandem master Vic on the minibike instead.
  21. That's OK the NorCal FreeFly Festival is at the end of August
  22. My company doesn't allow me to be sick. Sorry I'm afraid they are very strict orders. Gotta tell ya I feel pretty fortunate to have just taken a solid month off and still have a job now that I'm back. I'll be there in spirit. Everyone will just have to find a way to the Norcal Freefly Festival or the Byron Boogie. I'm kinda like Hanibal that way.
  23. While having two chicks rodeo me is a lot of fun I just don't think I can make it happen. My fault I shouldn't have used my vacation to visit family. I'll get it right next year.
  24. Hi Lew, It's good to see you on here too. I heard you got hurt. I'm hoping you are better now. Felt kinda bad about not being able to say bye in Rantoul.
