can you tell a little more HOW you do that? I have Adobe After Effects but do not use it so often I know what to do myself. Also: do I need them converted to B&W? Caren

the two camera's are mounted very close to eachother, in fact, I can look through them using both eyes (so left camer - left eye, right camera - right eye) so thats not the problem. (in fact, the biggest problem fo me now is, before I can play around, getting blue-red spectacles :-) Caren

Hi, Since I was filming (CReW) with two cameras on my helmet last weekend (we had a competition, and we wanted to make sure that we had film to judge..) I now have two tapes with video thats shifted just a little (two 'eyes'). A perfect source for 3D/Stereo video I think. But how can I do this? Anyone out there have any ideas how to do this? For instance using premiere? Caren

Yep, I did have a JVC (9500) and now have a Sony (trv11 and trv6). The change had two reasons: 1. my JVC ended up falling, together with my helmet, 7000 feet to the ground 2. the sony is far more skydiver friendly: although the JVC had (in my opinion) a better picture quality it was not able to hold the manual focus, so each time I had to set it myself, and ended up opening the system and putting in a switch to disable the focus. Secondly, sony tapes in a JVC cam do not really work all the time, so I only could use TDK. And last but not least: EVERYBODY is using Sony.... so lot's of experience. (By the way: one positive feature of the JVC that's is not on my sony: the side-load for the tape, the Sony has a bottom-load, which means I have to remove the quicksnap each time) So... I would go for Sony Caren

if you do it by the book, he can have a copyof the originals, because you will have to keep your originals for some 5 years, in order to show to the ministry of defense (again: if you do it by the book, you also have to register yourself with this ministry...) (I'm talking about the netherlands here) Caren

I've got the hinge, and installed it on my flat top pro. I hope I never have to use it, but hey, you'll never know.. By the way: bonehead could have done a better job and supply some help material and pictures with it!! After some thinking I've managed to see how it should be connected, but it would have been a cookie if they supplied the hinge with just some helping pictures! this weekend I will make some pictures of my helmet and put them on my site Caren

the only thing you need to be sure of is that the hinge fits... I just received my cutaway system from bonehead, and fixed it on my helmet. Although they (bonehead) does not bother to give you ANY instructions, not even a picture, after an half an hour of drilling (extra holes for the loop) and sawing ( the bone could not close anymore, you have to make some space there) it is now attached, and working (well... on the ground it is :-) Caren

Ok, since the webmaster of this site is soooooo slow, and my site is still not on the CRW list in the Link page, I'll publish it here: come and see and tell me what you think (and I know, some of the pages are in dutch, but it are the photo's that count :-) Caren

I use the stroboframe in combination with a (selfmade) lens-holder for my TRV (to make sure the lens can not catch any lines) because of that, it is less possible to catch lines because of the stroboframe... pff, let me draw you a picture, I can not make a good photo now... Hope you'll understand. By the way, the lensholder is fixed with four screws to the flat top pro by the way: blue = TRV green = stroboframe black = lens holder and in reply to quade: you are right: switching tapes is not a lot of fun.... According to my dealer, they say they will ship it as a component forsome $100?? see also extra picture (not sure if this is the flat top pro thing or the mindwarp...) Caren cato.makes.it Caren

I was on that load also, being the CRW-camera(wo)man. Since that load I have a plasic shower-cap in my jumpsuit to put over my camera if it ever happens again (and I hope NOT.... I was WET! By the way: the video is scary, you even see the lighning strikes

Hi, I'm also looking for a new printer, my HP930C is performing well, but: - prints do get vague after a year or so, lying in light conditions - the printer is using 3-color cartridges, which is expensive: sky-pictures have a lot of blue in it ;-) and I have to replace the whole cartridge when only the blue is run-out.... so I am looking for a printer with separate color-cartridges. My preference today is the Canon 820 or 900, they say they guarantee 20 years of color and test I saw nominate these printers as one of the cheapest per print. just my 2cts Caren

see here for a list of compatible +RW and +R DVD players: http://www.dvdrw.com/compatibility.html (and yes, I work for a DVD+ company :-) Caren
-
so go for a DVD+RW. Ricoh, HP and Philips sell them (and more, but this list out of my head). Using DVD+R will get you a compatible DVD which will aslo show on 'normal' DVD video players.

next time (tomorrow?) on the DZ I can show you some of the pictures made with the canon 4000 :-)
-
I've got the Canoscan FS4000US, and it is GREAT! blow-up pictures to A4 and greater format without problems. One of the important features to look for is automatic dust-removal, look for 'Digital ICE, or, like the Canon, for 'FARE' Film Automatic Retouching and Enhancement.

Hi, I have asked the same some weeks ago, the answer I've got was very helpful. See: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=213428;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread (hope this link works...) Caren

I owned a JVC 9500, I'm almost glad it's now somewhere on the fields nearby the Gap (Fr) DZ, after my helmet was trown of... I own a Sony now, which is far more skydiver-friendly. Most irritating was setting the manual focus: is that possible on that JVC? will it stay on, also after turning off and on your camera??? just my 2cts

THANX the test picture s looking far much better now! (elimination of even fields and interpolate) caren Caren
