  1. Fixed, thanks for pointing that out. They didn't give us a full list of the features either. We're having to piece it together from what they did tell us (not much) plus the manual plus follow-up e-mails with Vigil America and AAD. yeh I thought thats wat happened... also I was hoping it was more like the normal (original) vigil2 but its similar to Cypress now with added waiting times on sending away etc Mike FTMC
  2. Nah its a different/upraged unit...well thats wat I thought anyway...but I dunno.. also on chutingstar website it says the vigil2+ has field changable batteries etc then the paragraph bellow it says it has to be sent away for battery change lol FTMC
  3. Bzzz. Cypres 4 and 8 year services do a lot more than just change the battery. It's a full unit test and an update as necessary. See page 4 and beyond : http://www.cypres-usa.com/english_maintenance.pdf It still baffles me why someone wants a precision life-saving device and is ok with never having it tested on regular basis. Would you get into an airplane that's 10 years out of annual ??? The normal vigil2 has proven to be reliable with no required maintence unless a error shows and doesnt have to be sent far far away just for batteries...this is the reason i wanted one plus they work which is all I give a shit about....So should everyone throw there vigil2 in the bin and get a vigil2+? FTMC
  4. I have to get a new aad do u reckon it would be a good idea to get a new vigil2 while there still around instead of the vigil2+? Only reason I wanted a vigil instead of a cypress was so I didnt have to send shit half way across the world just for batteries etc. .keeping in mind I just want something that fires if im unlucky enough to need it...dont really care about the added gimmicks etc FTMC
  5. I was also suprised how much second hand canopies go for...for couple hundred difference I would go new to..i only get second hand if its really cheap lol evan canopy im using now costs me $300 and is good canopy FTMC
  6. I just went second hand then when I figured out what I wanted bought new....see so many people buy brand new gear for there first jumps after getting there A licence then they have an expensive piece of shit they will get sick of fast FTMC
  7. A lot of them? I haven't been keeping super close track of it, but I've only heard of a couple of incidents and the only ones I know the details of were the result of flying in poor conditions and nothing to do with wing characteristics. I hate to start this argument again, but I've seen this claim before and have yet to be pointed to a single incident in which gear had much to do with anything. Ill correct my statement if you fly speedwings....coming from any background your going to break some shit eventually lol i thought it was just part of the fun plus bitches love scars...and yeh ive broke alot of shit but I blame the weather...not my stupidity for flying in bad conditions...anyway wat I was initially saying was inexperienced ppl get them and hope for the best..conditions weather etc is all part of it FTMC
  8. Im jumping a 1990 vector2 with 1990 microraven 150 reserve.still looks new....also a sabre 150 with the label worn off so dom is anyones guess never had a drama evan tho I cant pack for shit...... FTMC
  9. I went skydiving with a cold ended up busting a eardrum took few months to heal and has never been the same....so it does happen I learnt the hard way FTMC
  10. Think 14m speedwing is about 150ft..just use google it will calculate it...and speedwings are alot different to skydiving canopies probably why alot of skydivers get them then die FTMC
  11. Also the manual I got with it is the original with matching serial number to container 8649 dom feb. 19. 1996 it says talon on container and manual not talon2.. yet the container looks exactly the same as a talon2 also the manual that is downloadable off there site says the talon2 t3 has 335res 375main volume ...yet the original manual with my container says 275res 350 main.. I read that the later talons are the same as talon2 so not sure which sizes to go off or what reserve to look for FTMC
  12. Yeh im waiting on them to get back to me but different places I have checked say different volumes in the manuel that come with the container it says 275ci reserve and 350ci main so yeh hoping someone has had the same rig and can tell me what they used FTMC
  13. Hey I got a 96 talon t3 ..rigging innovations Can anyone with one or that has had one plz tell me what size canopies they have had in it or that will fit in it safely without being to tight etc...I was hoping to fit a 135 reserve and main in but yeh its hard to find info on the t3 container..its confusing Thanks FTMC
