Its too cold in Pennsylvania I‘m going to Florida! Thanks to my new friends at Priceline I’ll be spending the next two weeks in Florida jumping in the sun. Two weeks in Sabastian, De Land and maybe others. Is the CASA warmed up?

Hey Kelly. Great website, but what's with the bouncing bulls on the links page? Kind a freaked me out. See you at the cross. Hope you're feeling better. Danhole

Can I exchange my bonehead for one where i can hear the AA? just a thought?
-
That was over the line. I'm going to cry mysekf to sleep on my HUUUUUGH pillow....

I love the fit of this helmet. I have a hugh head and the xxl fits me wonderfuly. The problem is the AA pouch. It can't be used as it is designed. 1. you'll lose your AA with one good riser strike and 2. you can't hear the AA go off. I had to cut a new hole in both the padding and the helmet (no easy task). Also I have the AA covered in 1/4 inch of tape. The fit gets a 10! the AA pouch a 2. Average 6

The FFA announced revised rules for non-commercial flights. Including a small tidbit about the air force shooting down planes that go astray. Apparently skydiving wasn't dangerous enough. http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/09/28/faa.warning/index.html I think I'll exit first please.... Danhole

I have a Bonehead and it is the ONLY helmet that I found that fits my hugh gargantuan head!! ("its like an orange on a tooth pick") The problem with Boneheads are the external AA mount. You CAN NOT use it as it is designed. The way its designed you can't hear the AA AND one good riser strike and your AA is gone forever. Everybody I see has wrapped their AA in tape and most people cut new hole in the internal padding, which doesn't line up with the hole in the helmet. Other people I've talked with have cut new holes in the helmet and remount the AA lower, closer to their ear. hope it helps. Danhole

According to some semi-reliable sources (aopa.org, uspa.org) it appears there will be a partial listing of VFR flight restrictions. Let's hope the news restrictions allow skydiving.

I found their comments to be ALMOST as repulsive and disgusting as the events on September 11th. To blame Americans for the actions of terrorists is a pitiful and disgraceful act. I can't imagine why cable companies allowed then to continue to broadcast.
-
Let me say I hope I'm wrong. But if the FAA doesn't lift flight restrictions in the next 48 hours I don't think we'll be up in air again for LONG time. Possibly months! It's just a feeling I have, I have no inside knowledge of this. I fully understand and respect the need for increased security in our nation. But I hope we are allowed to express our freedom by enjoying our activity of choice. On a different note, to those of you overseas -- the less said the better! Too many of you have embarrassed yourselves with childish and often painful comments. Time to turn sand into glass…

I am in the process of demoing a Sabre2 210, and I have to say I love it. A few observations: The openings are very smooth. (A concern for anything with the word Sabre in it or so the story goes). It flares nice and consistent. Nice long speed burn before an easy landing. It packs smaller then other comparable sized canopies I tried. Does anyone else who has flown a Sabre2 have any observations? danhole

411.... "yes I''d like a listing for Quincy Ill. please...Charles W. Scholz..." I'm sure Chuck would love to hear my input at 4:00 in the morning! Of course I'm not suggesting anyone (or everyone) get the mayor's telephone number from the white pages (i.e. yahoo.com) and call hime every hour on the hour to tell him what you think of him. What you do is up to do.....

From the Quincy Herald-Whig letters: www.whig.com/letters Mayor: Visitors who respect our values will be welcomed here To The Herald-Whig: I wish to thank all those who have written letters supporting our efforts to enforce public safety regulations at our airport. The security procedures implemented at this year's skydiving event had been previously agreed to by the promoter, law enforcement authorities and aviation officials. The notion that standards of common decency should be compromised for economic gain is completely unacceptable. We work hard in Quincy to play a vital role in the tourism industry. Visitors who respect our values will always be welcomed as guests in our city. Charles W. Scholz Mayor ---------------------------- "our efforts to enforce public safety regulations at our airport" LOL Quincy public safety regulations 1. Breasts should remain covered at all times. You could put an eye out with one of those. 2. Anyone being unsafe will be sprayed with mace and beaten into an unconscious state for their own good. 3. To maintain calm and public order, individuals will not discuss any such events within the earshot of QPD personnel. Any such discussions are covered under the constitutional guarantee of free speech but please refer to rule 2 anyway. 4. Talking or laughing after 10:30 pm is obviously the result of drug-induced euphoria. The offending parties will be regarded as "unsafe" and threatened until the laughing ends. Please see item 2. 5. Ogling or leering will be regarded as violations of "standards of common decency". Ogling or leering will be not permitted except by the members of the QPD as they are highly trained professionals. This is strictly a precaution to identify individuals who may be a danger to "public safety" should their breasts become exposed. 6. To ensure adequate training, the Muff Brothers will be holding meetings to discuss "safety on the dropzone". STOLEN FROM REC.SKYDIVING...ITS WORTH THE LAUGH
