Had two out once. Side by side. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at them. They were clear and I cut the main away. land fine under my reserve. Why hang around waiting for a problem? P.S the poll dosn't work :(

For the WFFC, buying a tix does not reserve you a time and/or slot. Once you have a tix you need to manifest. For the Bell you manifest and are giving a load number. For the balloon, you manifest for a day & time (i.e. Thursday, 5:30 AM). If you go to the convention don’t miss either one, last year I made 6 Helli jumps and a balloon jumps. Most excellent time. If you want a PC-9 act fast they arte no longer produced. Replaced by the PC-101. If you’ve got the balls try looking at Ebay. I’ve seen new PC-9s for $900. If you do go the Ebay way only buy from sellers with lot of positive feedback from other buyers and ones who take credit cards (or Pay Pal). Good luck. Danhole

A few months ago (Feb or March?) there was an item in Parachutist about a new, thin, wide angle less for the PC-9. Does anyone have info on it? Or a link to a website? If anyone has the lens and wants to give a review I would appreciate it. Thanks, Danhole

Pigeon Forge and Las Vegas are NOT WORTH IT!! They have the same general facility. Orlando has better facilities and is worth it for basic RW skills. I was in the Las Vegas wind tunnel and it was just worthless! -- The wind is not strong enough to teach useful (and lifelike) skills. To make any movement you have to over exaggerate movements to an absurd extreme. ALso the instructors had NEVER made a skydive!! Do you want an instructor who has never jumped? Go to Orlando or save your money. Danhole

Hey Johnny, Why didn’t you just take the B-license test? You could have taken the test and been on the next load. If there is a reason you have 170+ jumps and you still only have an A-license well then that says something. Also, before you spout off ask yourself why Cross Keys (one of the busiest DZs in the country) has an unbelievable safety record. (knock on wood). Its because everyone there has safety on the brain-- from the owners, to Rick the ST&A, to the instructors to the weekend jumpers. Would you prefere anyone be allowed to jump in any condition? Cross Keys is a great DZ and Freeze Fest was just another great boogie at the Cross. Danhole

Does anyone know anything about a boogie in Masquite, Nv the weekend of Feb 8-10? I heard it was being put on by the Salt Lake area DZ but their web site has no mention of it. (why would anyone want to advertise a boggie?). Any info would be most helpful -- thanks. Danhole

Are there any DZs within 3-4 hours of Las Vegas worth going to? I will be in Las Vegas in February and would love to get a few jumps in. I remember that the Las Vegas area DZ had some problems with the USPA. If I remember they wouldn't let outsiders jump there. Also they only have small Cessnas for jump plains. Nice airplanes but not worth dragging my rig from PA to jump from. Thanks for input Danhole

I land in Orlando Thursday night. I'll be in Sabastian till Tuesday or Wednesday. I think I might do some SDU with Molly (who spend the summer at Cross Keys). She is in either De Land or Sabastian. Ether way I will definetly make to Deland for some freefry. I'll be in Florida till the 27th. So I will definetly be at De Land at some point. My names Dan. Look for me.
