I'm pretty sure most people who oppose it doesn't really know who Joseph Kony is and does. "Does", that implies he is still doing this right? Even the US Sate Dept. says he fled the country an is in hiding. Is he doing this in his new hiding place? Or is this outrage two years too late? Matt Of course. I've been following stories about Kony here and there since about 2005. He left and came back to Uganda quite a few times and his operations are left relatively intact from a management/leadership perspective. Estimates of his "army" varies quite wildly. India's military said back in 2009 that they had "many capable thousands militants" in their intelligence reports. Kony, however, is a relatively small problem. What the campaign has done quite well is to spread knowledge. How many people here knows that Sudan is fairly close to a civil war (and this has been going on for quite a while too!). The Government wants to take over South Sudan for its oil rich territories. Kony can be something like Tunisia 2011. It is quite a fascinating story.. much more than 30 minutes plus/minus rebutal websites. Cheers! Shc -

If Gary Connery does succeed to land the wingsuit next month, is it worth pursuing the much more expensive Jeb Corliss landing version? It seems much less appealing to the media (and less justifiable to explain the cost) just to be the "second man" to land a wingsuit. p-s: should do an interview with Skydive Radio while you're taking a "forced vacation" Cheers! Hello, As a newbie, I always do a search topic for whatever safety issues. I feel having a slightly more advanced search button would be useful. For example, been trying to look topics/opinions about AADs (specifically about Vigil). It would be a lot easier if there was a way to see the topics based on their dates. I feel it would be more relevant to find recent topics than 2003. Would there be a way to search topics and have them in order based on the date? Thank you. Shc

Hello, Has there been any new videos/DVDs that surpass "Packing Made Simple"? The snow is melting and skydiving season is soon coming ... and I want to learn how to pack my chute . Any other recommendations or should I just go for PMS DVD?

Go to your home dz and ask an instructor about it. They covered it, and they understand things get forgotten and need reinforcement. They'll explain it again in depth, and also the ways to avoid two out. If they don't, or won't walk away fast. I would but its winter-time here in Canada. No jumping until at least end April. By that time, I have a feeling I will have long forgotten about it. So its not really that they won't, but more like they're not going be at the DZ for another few months. + there's a slight language barrier problem to it too. Rather ask now at dz.com and get some idea as a just-in-case measure. Thanks for all the links posted. Very helpful. Cheers! -

Quite sorry for such a redundant thread. Couldn't find a suitable thread that explained what to do in all the situations when both the main and reserve is out. Is there a thread/place where I could find out clearly what to do in these situations? I remember the dz went very briefly over it, but would love to learn more about it. Thanks & cheers. -

" ..................................................................... Bellybands are most helpful on large rigs ... like student rigs (250 - 300 square foot canopies), military freefall and tandem. As solo rigs get smaller (e.g. less than 200 square foot canopies), belly-bands get less and less important. Belly-bands do help prevent leg straps from wandering away from the crease where your thigh meets your buttock. Ah if only belly bands were fashionable...
