KS Fun, haven't you heard?!?!? oh man you don't know what you're missing! you've got to be kidding me, no one has told you about all the great stuff kans ASS has to offer ahahahah hey i can't complain. the dropzone is 15 mins away, i'm in college and still get to make 200 jumps a year at a single 182 dz. you can come to ks next weekend and jump at our memorial boogie. southwest has a deal out of tampa to kansas city lol. but would it be your first time jumping from a cessna heheh i hear beer! our boogie is in memory of geoffrey peggs who died 2 years ago when he went unstable and deployed while flying a birdman suit. he entangled with his risers and main and was unable to cut away. his family set up a scholarhip fund in his name after his sudden death and we have held a boogie each year to help raise money. last year we flew 40 cessna loads, this year we'll have 2 planes all day and raise even more money. hey if you're needing FF pants, we're raffling off a couple free pairs... oh come on you know you want to come to ks hahahahah so should i go to class or drink another beer?
  3. no guess that wasn't me, I was @ sebastian late january for the weekend. darn it, i wanted to say i had met you lol you never answered the other questions. how old, are you single and when are you coming to kansas hahaha going back to the ring topic. i sent my ex gf to california about 2 yrs ago to see the ocean. i had a friend of mine put her up so she didn't have to pay for a hotel. she came back engaged and he followed a week later... yeah i'm still bitter about that one hahahah for word of advice. don't trust your friends, they'll screw you over and your gf at the same time. good thing i was 19, and still have the rest of my life to have fun. she's locked in with a loser who still hasn't told her who he really is hdheheh maybe i'll tell her someday about the hooker he picked up lol ohhh evil grin

  6. hahah one thing to add to this. when camping out at the dz during a boogie keep in mind that you are close to other tents so: a)when having phone sex, be polite to others trying to sleep. other people can hear you b) when doing it during the day in your tent. be sure your friends don't take the poles out, take off the rain tarp and then leave you naked under the mesh... looked like they had a really hard time finding their clothes hahah oh the holiday boogie was a blast

    Just to avoid confusion; Congonhas is the old airport in Sao Paulo, GRU is Guarulhos, and is the one you're likely to be flying into. Wendy W. duhhhh notice that i got the GRU part but then used the other airport that flies domestically. desculpa gente. ah mais uma coisa, ele falou que os pais dela tem uma casa na praia. ele sabe que e inverno agora? lol chris
  8. well ok here's my thoughts on the situation... i don't mind the piercings at all, i a labret and my tounge pierced. it takes a while to get used to and yes to learn a technique. i'll admit it, i have the shortest tounge in the world, but it's not about the size right? it's how you use it tounge rings can enhance kissing, teasing and other things... you can figure it out. but i must agree with the comment above, if you have no technique it can be BAD!!! piercings only fit certain people, shaun yes as you added i seriously doubt that charity, terri or jenny would do it. but does it fit me? how much about a person can you tell by looking at them first off? basically saying that you can't stereo type a person because of a tattoo, piercing etc and in today's world it's done too much. on a final note, don't know where you've been in kansas but i see girls with thier tounges pierced everywhere. maybe it's just an upper classman thing heheheheh

    Ah sim Brasil, meu amor, meu pais tropical. Tenho muito saudade de voce e um dia vou voltar... Brasil, what a place what a place. You'll have a blast! I moved down to brasil with my father and family in 1994 and then moved back to the usa to finish college. my family still lives outside Sao Paulo in the ABC region (Santo Andre, Sao Bernardo, Sao Caetano, Diadema) Sao Paulo, like everyone has said is amazing! There is always something to do and somewhere to party. Here are my suggestions... -Try a caipirinha or two, just be ready to take a cab - Dont get into a drinking comp with a brasilian, you will lose!!! -Go to a churrascario (all you can eat BBQ) they are awesome - go to the beach, only a 30 min drive if you go at the right time. its winter in brasil, but warm to us americans - jump the skyvan in campinas, i'll have to find the link and post. great people there - be careful who you talk to and keep your car doors locked - the girls on the corners are really guys!!! lol be careful hahaha For paperwork you'll need your passport, then a visa. the visa's are 10 years now, let you stay in th country for 90 days at a time, but you don't have to renew it. i think they are 110 or 120, i forgot. when you fill out your paperwork on the plane make sure you don't put down that you have over 500 in merchandise, you'll get flagged and the tax rate could be 150%. if you're taking a laptop with you, go to the customs agency in the USA airport and have them fill out the ownership paper. basically it proves that you left the us with the laptop, that it is yours and that you will leave brasil with it as well. they are really strict on people trying to get electronics in etc. cooperate with the customs agents, they're really nice as long as you don't act like an ass. people down there don't like bush at the momment, so hopefully you won't get the dick who is trying to save the world. if you need anything else answered let me know. my dad just flew in and out of brasil last month and some friends of the family last week. you'll probably be going into congonhas (GRU) let me know what airline as some are better than others blue skies tchau tchau chris

  11. mr hixxx i think i've actually met you before. i've jumped a couple of times at weeping water and was at the seward boogie last year. are you going to be at the skyvan boogie in a couple of weeks? i'd like to demo a cobalt and i hear you are the man to talk to. i didn't have the jumps last year to start considering it, but 250jumps in the last yr and i'd like to start thinking about it. i've been to freaks 2 years in a row and i'm not missing it this year for anything. going for 40-50 jumps this time. blue skies chris

  13. do a 3 way hybrid or a rodeo. a 3 way hybrid is always fun, it take a little bit of dirtdiving and stability, but it's one hell of a ride and cool and heck looking up at your two buddies as you hang from their chest straps. stick your tounge out at them, it's a blast i'd come jump with ya, but i'm in KS and teaching a class this weekend have fun and oh yeah... case o beer in advance!!!
  14. yeah i have one about 8 inches by 8 inches dead centered between the shoulder blades. the first 3 inches of the outline hurt like a bitch, but then i got used to it. it was also my first tattoo. the filling you won't feel, it will just get warm. do you know if your tattoo guy uses the new gun? they have a new gun and needle system, doesn't make any noise or vibrate so it hurts less chris
  15. I did not have the chance to personally meet her but I knew of her. The memorial page was very touching. I too have lost a close friend due to a skydiving related incident. It will be 2 years June 15th, we have all experienced it at some point or time, it's a part of skydiving we have to accept. The best thing to do though is to never forget This is my favorite quote "I will not remember you, because to remember I must forget first. I will never forget..." The way your fall rate is varying is sounds like you are in a sit, but may be exposing more of your calfs (sp) or leaning over some on your back when adjusting. i can sit on my back, ie the recliner and fall pretty good with belly groups. at the same time though i can fall slow by exposing my calfs to the airstream, this is useful when setting base as you dont want to cork or roll onto your back. make sure you're keeping 90 90 90 at your knees, butt and arms. if you have a pool, practice your sit in the water. hope this helps with the fall rate issue pm me if you have any other questions and i might be able to answer them chris
  17. Congrats on the wings, I love mine. ok to stow on the top of the bag. Dont have a pic but i'll describe it for you. you have the 4 gramets that are your locking stows. My first 2 are large bands and then the rest are small. We're going to number the graments on the front of the bag let's see if this works 12[---11------10-----]9 8[----7--------6-----]5 [--4----3----2----1] i take my first stow at 2 then 3 then 1 then 4. these are my locking stows. stows 2 and 3 are large bands and the rest are mini. after my locking stows i go from 4 to 6 then 7 to 10 then to 11. don't use the side ones, i can't remember if there is a nother row or not, but if there were then you'd just use the stows about 11 and 10. does this make sense? blue skies, hope this helped chris
  18. 350 jumps, 1 reserve ride. jump 17. a year later had the same thing happen to me but it cleared and i didn't have to chop it. kinda freaky! Line over jump 17 Year later line over on just the very end cell, dislodged my cutaway handle and then it cleared.

  20. dude your tattoo is freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I'd get it, but then i'd be a copy cat here are my tatts and someone said something abotu skydiving peircings... well here is my odd one. I have a "?" shaped ring in it now, longer and alows for more... well haven't had any complaints from the ladies
  21. no with pd's canopies. a fellow jumpers sabre 2 is serial number 000011 he got it right after they introduced them
  22. well thank god i didn't buy the canopy, and i told the guy who was letting me jump it to send it back! ron, sorry i took your response a little harsh. i guess to add to it was that having both the end cells closed on the canopy was causing a lot of troubles with the flight characteristics and made me thing twice about landing the sob. it would surge foward and backwards, let to right, depending on how much air the endcell would hold, and then spit out. the front part was folded under, not the typicall manta 288 end cell closure. the point of deep brakes, yes i have end cell closure once in awhile on my sabre 170, i can pull the rear risers after opening and get them to inflate in less than a second. with the heatwave i had to actually start a STALL to get even one to inflate. then had to hold another stall and extend the right brake to get the right one to inflate. i guess my main concern was that fact that a spinning eliptical wasn't what i needed and you shouldn't have to stall a canopy to get the endcells to inflate. i personally don't like the thought of an eliptical at 1.5 spinning up on me at 2 grand i've already hooked back up my sabre and told greg to send the damn thing back. wasn't worth the risk or blowing up or spinning up. etc. it had a nice flare to it, but the rest just doesn't even out
  23. aggie, yeah i checked up on everything before jumping it. i have the standard zp wings pilot chute. the canopy has 50 jumps on it and the fellow jumper who lended it to me hadn't put any jumps on it yet due to a broken ankle the day before he recieved it. i didn't roll the nose the first time. i know you shouldn't have to, but for sake of arguement i did so to try to slow down the openings. that didn't help at all either. and yes i rolled the heck out of the tail, just like my sabre. but nothing worked. it freaking sucked is all i'm going to say
  24. ron, umm yes i have heard of end cell closure, and yes i heard it in my FJC. i teach FJC's. but explain me this. since when do you have to stall a fucking canopy to get the endcells to inflate? and why do they take 3000ft to do so? thanks...
