  7. I had a J5 that had the same problem. The main flap came open in a sit fly then as i flip over to track away you can see all 4 flaps open and my pretty blue d bag just sitting there. I got lucky. A couple things I could have done differently... -I was putting a 170 in it and hadn't shortened the closing loop -Put a rubber band around the tuck tab, it helps some to keep it in the flaps -don't sit with an older jav -buy a wings that's what I did
  8. my rigger wrote it on my handle with a perm marker on the op side of the velcro (soft handle) we tested all the rigs at the dz regardless of the date. it take 15mins maybe and it's worth having it checked out

  13. MCI (Kansas City) has to be the most annoying. There is a security point at each gate, not each section of the airport, each gate. So if you go and check in and are sitting at the gate waiting and then you need to take a piss. You take your carry on with you, take a piss then get strip searched again. Heathrow was my worst, although it had a lot to do with the airline switch i was not informed of. haven't been to LAX Favorite is GRU (Sao Paulo) just because it's home
  14. ya know i had one once and never figured out who she was either. still kinda bugs me to this day as i would have liked to have found out. i got hints and everything, just never clicked... so she prob just thought i hated her lol
  15. you're welcome if you don't want them you can send them back, they can be applied at my dz too
  16. i had a sub 100 doing a 4 way once. i was as big as i freaking could be. we have a student who falls sub 100 with lead on, he just doesn't fall!!! gravity doesn't work for him or something. if you guys know me, i'm 250 out the door, pretty big so it was amazing. i haven't hit 85 in a track yet, but haven't done too many tracking dives either. i hit 200 plus in a hd if that counts chris
  17. QuoteWhy do you need so much speed? Are you going to be doing data transfers between machines? Quote For a couple reasons. Large data transfers between one computer that is used to only keep mp3's and videos, working with video transferrs from my laptop to desktop so i can burn them, and i have the need, the need for speed
  18. 802.11g yeah i've thought about it but my roommate isn't going to be paying for any of this. It's kinda like my deposit on the place to live there. I provide internet and a network. So if I were going to spend the money for 802.11g I'd rather hardwire it to get the speed for less money... It's a tricky decission. Either run 802.11b because i can get the modem from work for 50$ or run it hardwired and keep up the speed
  19. problem, won't have a computer on the first floor. i'd like to keep it all together. For the speed I'll be paying for it's prob better to hardwire. Now i just need to know how to run cat 5 thru the walls
  20. I'm moving into Jason's place. It's f*cking amazing and only 2 blocks from the bars hehe
  21. 802.11a has less of a range than 802.11b. It has a faster speed, but travels at 5ghz and works best at 65 feet. I think I'll hardwire the house then. What I meant buy use the existing phone lines, ie run the cat5 thru the same jacks etc. I've never done any professional wiring, just under the carpet and thru vents. How would I wire it and have it come out of the same jack as a phone jack?
  22. kinda what I figured people were going to say. Anyadvice on hardwiring a 100year old house? Use the existing phone lines and run the cabling thru there?
  23. I'm planning on moving into a new house within the next 30 days. I'm going to be setting up a network in the ouse and would like to run a wireless network. Here's my dilema though... The router would be set up in the office on the ground floor. My room is the atic-loft. I talked to the provider and they said 150ft line sight is the best for the router and speeds. The other option is to just hardwire the house with RJ-45 and put a router at the MPOE. The house is 100 years old, concrete inthe basement, guessing there isn't much between the floors. Anyone have a similar setup with 802.11b and not have a problem? If I'm going to be paying extra for the 1.5-6.0 mbps I don't want it to be bogged down trying to get the signal upstairs Blue skies Chris
  24. yesterday i saw an old lady who was holding up traffic trying to go the wrong way on a 4 lane street. she was honking and flashing her lights. she didn't realize she was in the wrong.
  25. I'm sure this is what he'll say " One day I was out golfing and I heard this noise from the background, "Use the 9 iron, use the 9 iron" I wasn't sure where the voice was coming from but did it anyways. There it went, down the green and right into the hole!!! So I move to the next tee and there again I hear the voice "Swing to the right, swing to the right" but this time I look around and see this little frog sitting on a rock next to the tee. I swung to the right and sure enough my ball lands 2 feet from the hole. Amazed I pick up the frog and cary it with me. I completed the holes at the course with 10 under par and couldn't believe it. He was my magic frog. We talked a little and the frog insisted that we go gambling so it could show me it's powers. Within the first 20 mins I had worn 100 times more than what I brought. To celebrate I got a room and ordered up a bottle of champaine. I asked the frog if there was ANYTHING i could do to repay it. The frog says "Kiss me" I hesitated a bit but figured why not. And that your honor is how the 12 year old got in my room!!! blue skies chris
