I rarely do. It's hard to speed in Seattle, since everybody is doing 5 under in the passing lane. I think we should have variable speed limits on the high way--60mph right, 75mph center, 100+ left favaks

Well, she accomplishe the beating and torture of American POW's. Wait A MInute! Isn't that Against the Geneva Convention? The US never declared war. Vietnam was one country, not two. The Geneva Convention did not apply. favaks

A well rounded fighter needs to know when to go to the ground and when to fight stand up. Most kungfu practioners don't bother with the ground and that is their weakness, just like ground fighters who ignores striking. It would be fatal to take somebody who has a knife to the ground. favaks.

It depends on how much you are willing to commit. If you are going to spend a few hours a week, mix martial arts is your best option. Take Muai Thai, boxing, and grapping. In about one year, you will be able to take on most of the average joe on the street. Kungfu is a lifestyle. It takes a very long time to obtain result, but it is very rewarding. The training is also more complete. It's like wine, you get better as you age. Do you see boxers fighting into their old age? How often are you going to be rolling on the ground in your 70's? The problem with Kungfu is it's hard to find the right teacher. You also have to put in a lot of time. I am commiting 11 hours a week and it doesn't seem enough. favaks

You know nothing about me. How do you know I choose not to serve? I don't need you to defend my freedom. When it is time, I will defend my freedom. How do you know I don't go for self sacrifice? There are many ways to serve the country. Joining the military and do what you're told to do is not the only way to serve nor it is the best way. Your freedom isn't going to be taken away by some outsider. More likely, it is the government. People who keep themselves educated and current and criticize the government to keep them in check are probably more effective at fighting for your freedom. Not to mention the engineers and scientists who invent and produce the technologies to save your life in battle. You signed up to do a job. Just like every other job, if you don't like it, quit. You are not doing me a favor. favaks

Easy to sit back and talk when it's not your friends or family. It's a matter of priority. Will I sacrifice my best friend's life for 10, 100, 1000 strangers? Hell no!!! Operation Freedom--whatever! favaks

Revelation: Americans support higher taxes for better traffic.
favaks replied to AndyMan's topic in Speakers Corner
I'll pay for it. Atleast I know where my tax dollars are going. Hell, I think the left lane should be reserved for those with better driving skill and the speed limit should be 100+. Hell, I'll even pay extra if I can do 100+ on the left lane. In the Seattle area, traffic wouldn't be as bad if people know how to drive. favaks -
Taiwanese politic style, baby! I'd love to see these politicians duke it out when there is a problem. Bush vs. Kerry Powell vs. Bush Powell vs. Rumsfeld Powell vs. White House Hillary vs. Laura Bush This should revive my interest in politics. favaks

Yeah, like who you can and can't get married to. Oh yeah, and if you dare to "THINK" for yourself and it happens to oppose the current view of the administration, you're a traitor. favaks

Dante's Inferno Hell Test- Which level of hell are you going to?

Damn, level 6. I'm a heretic. -
I wouldn't call 2 guys rolling on a padded floor mat licking each other sweat for 20 minutes the closest thing to a street fight. The thugs you run into on the streets never play fair and are never alone. They will not fight you unless they think they have the upper hand, weapons, friends. Odds are always against you. You pick one guy and take him out and take him out fast and make it as ugly as possible and get the hell out. favaks

So BBJ is the best style because it dominates in UFC. That's funny. I can say the same thing that striking arts are the best because they dominte in San Shou. How well do you think a BBJ guy is going to do in a boxing tournament? Put the Gracies against Mike Tyson. I'll put my money on Mike. Does that mean boxing is better than BJJ? I haven't been keeping up with UFC rules, but is eye gouging biting, kicking the groin, fish hook, ripping ears, nose kicking your opponent when he is down. Any of this allowed? So much for reality. -favais

Assuming there is a supreme moral Lawgiver, does this being make up the law, or does it exist separately. In another word, it knows what the moral law is and relates it to us. favaks
