Bullshit.

Do you think the mistakes of our past should stop us from continuing to make the same mistakes? Democrats very much address the fact that this country was founded by genocide and slavery. Yes, we feel guilty for our past, it was reprehensible and therefore we must quash it out from ever re-emerging. Do you think it's acceptable to tell someone to "Go back to where they came from" specifically because that person has a dark complexion? Do you understand that excluding the use of that phrase with Caucasians indicates that white people are more welcome here than non-europeans?

Ah, the phases of a Trump romance, I wonder how soon he'll turn.

It exposes a reality that many of us thought was not as prevalent in the US. I'm reminded of when I woke up on election day +1 and felt like I was in a different country, one that does not uphold the ideals and moralities that I grew up thinking of as our national identity.

Haha, I my interwebs were screwing up and I kept hitting "submit reply". I should leave all three posts up but I think once was enough.

As it stands with the "renewable sector" being a $200bn revenue US industry and a failure rate on govt loans being just 2.7% (about half of the private sector) and those subsidies being primarily in the form of tax breaks which are expiring with almost no opposition you simply can't ask for a better outcome in how the US is addressing the roll of the energy sector in climate change. The "but subsidies" argument simply doesn't hold water and besides, tax breaks are what conservatives almost categorically use as a tool to give an industry and the economy a bump.

We could very well be reading a mother jones article about how a barista caused someone to have a panic attack during her shift. It's a shitty situation to be in for the employee but it was a crap move for the police association to start a "pour it out" campaign (complete with logo). They end up looking like the ass hats.
-
Sounds a customer acted stupidly, an employee acted spastically, the police (Thanks for the additional info Bill) were fine but probably should've kept it out of the chatter box because the Breitbart crowd got ahold of it.
-
By the way, the officers should also have enough brainpower to realize they're dealing with some kid working in a coffee shop who doesn't know what to do about a customer and not make such a big fucking crybaby ordeal out of it.

Are Snowflake Republicans going to run out and shoot their starbucks cups and set them on fire like they did over the Nike stuff and the Yeti Cooler outburst?

I absolutely agree that the Women's soccer teams should make more but the men's team is simply drawing from a much bigger pot. Fifa and men's soccer at large is a behemoth albeit, slow moving and fucking boring if you ask me. Women's soccer is a cheetah, it springs to live, rushes across the screen and ends in a rampage that has everyone saying, "Holy shit that was fucking amazing." It still doesn't eat as much as an elephant.
-
Did your argument consist of the two of you saying "Please" and "Thank you" and "something something Tim Horton's."
-
Definitely but that's no fun.
-
I take that to be the punchline he's making. Whenever someone brings up a positive aspect of a strong social program in one of these European countries Republicans yell "SOCIALISM!!" despite the fact that it's not actually a socialist country.

Well....maybe Patrick Swayze. Every press conference would just be highlights from Roadhouse.
-
Didn't you try to call out my statement in another thread that "anyone but Trump" literally meant anyone but Trump and not the vast array of people running against him.
-
Ok, there are people out there who would vote for a celery stalk before Trump. I apologize for so naively and imperfectly encapsulating the spectrum of human choices.

Good point. Would like to see the battery pack associated with that. Continuous Power at 750 HP is no joke, we can start dreaming about putting them on Twin Otters.

This is the power plant and drives referenced for the aircraft above. They say they can be retrofitted into Caravans and King Airs. However, this says nothing about the battery portion which is where the real weight is https://www.magnix.aero/products/

Seems like it's still leaving the aircraft (Beaver) underpowered considering the current plant is 450hp (336kw): "The first aircraft to be converted will be the DHC-2 de Havilland Beaver, a six-passenger commercial aircraft used across Harbour Air’s route network. Harbour Air and magniX expect to conduct first flight tests of the all-electric aircraft in late 2019. This partnership follows significant milestones for both companies, including the successful testing of magniX’s 350 HP all-electric motor and the addition of a Vancouver to Seattle route in Harbour Air’s destination roster." However, the economics of flight are all about fuel cost and weight so if it costs less then you can fly less weight.

I think part of this issue is that (Talking out of my Ass) that there's a requirement to have enough fuel for a certain quantity of flight beyond the planned flight. In reality, yes you can reclaim some flight time.

Seems like that's a problem worth solving since you can't have an aircraft sitting on the tarmac not making money and rapid charging is bad for batteries. If you can secure cargo adequately for flight I have to imagine that you can do the same for a design built element of the aircraft. Edit: And when you're talking about a comparison to the complexity of fueling, holding fuel and pumping fuel to the engines I have to imagine a purposed build module is quite an improvement.

And you can probably charge while you load since you're eliminating liquid fuel getting carted around. There also shouldn't be an issue with a cool-down period for restarts. It looks like regional people-carriers who use Caravans are very interested in this and can set the pace for how to run ground ops.
