I use sailing gloves with a surgical glove liner. They're designed to work with (tie/untie) lines and grip fabric whether you hands are wet or dry. The problem I've had with gloves is that if your hands sweat the least bit then you're screwed. Thus the surgical glove because it keeps your glove fabric from getting wet.
