Do a search. The Dragon is a PD reserve with the line trim of a PD lightning, it was build by PD for Vertigo. Vented dragons opens nicely and flare like crap. Unvented open like shit. A Super Raven does a better job than either one if that's your cup of tea. Memento Audere Semper 903

The one thing I've noticed about vented versus unvented: Empirically and theoretically sound, IMHO as well. The way I see it, someone has more time to correct from an off-heading with an unvented canopy. This correction can be made before the canopy actually starts to react to control inputs. Also the DBS on an unvented canopy can be calibrated more precisely than the one on a vented canopy. Once the strike does occur, a vented canopy will stay more inflated and more responsive with the nose blocked by the object versus an unvented canopy. In the end knowing well what you are jumping is far of greater importance than just what you are jumping. Memento Audere Semper 903

That's a helluva canopy! I had one of those! He also mentions where the pic was taken! As for the ethics (sounds like a joke) of selling gear...you can always lie to anyone. Some people and manufactures do background checks, some don't; it's a matter of personal preference. I recently realized that BASE and ethics should not be used in the same sentence, unless as used in the latter sentence. I judge none: we are all crazy outlaws, not just to the public but to ourselves as well, how dysfunctional is that? I follow some personal guidelines that might be stricter or laxer depending on the unit of measure. In the end everyone gets what they want. Memento Audere Semper 903

I was looking at few pics and realized Maggot's expression during the flare. At first I though it was a BASE thing but he does have the same expression flaring his Stiletto 97! I have also noticed a similar expression when he takes a dump. Go figure! Memento Audere Semper 903

So I figured If I can teach a vegetarian cold blooded turtle how to BASE, I should be able to death camp any human animal with virtually the same IQ. Dusty, our turtle, did a great job on his first BASE. He was very stable in FF and had a great landing under canopy. He just got his B! Memento Audere Semper 903
