    That redundancy may seem a good idea at first but should be well thought through, for it can complicate matters? (From the top of my head: he was jumping a PdF 'Atom' with the double LOR (RSL) system with two extra thin cypress loops. In stead of one separate loop over each successive curved pin, both loops were on both pins. When he chopped and the two curved pins were pulled one loop had gone over the other, keeping the reserve tray closed. Since they also were connected above the cypress cutter, they remained closed as the cypress fired...) 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Mate, replies like this in no way help a new person learn - just like all the 'search is your friend' replies - and in this case shows your ignorance as the turns in question did not involve the use of rear risors. In fact I learnt someting new from this, and I've only been jumping 29 years.... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    What about the 'risks' of marriage. South Carolina: If you are under 18, you will need a certified copy of your birth certificate and a notarized statement of parental consent. The minimum age for a female is 14 and it is 16 for a male. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    If consent was required and given, and the person in question went on her own free will, I see no problem. Why pick on the age of the person? What other stereotypes can we go for? The fact that she is female? Maybe a blonde to boot. Maybe we should ban old people from jumping because their bones are more brittle, or they're heading towards senility. She jumped cause she wanted to. Took the chance that we all take and unfortunately got bitten. Shit happens, and when it does, quite often, the PC brigade jump on their high horses and set to work to change things to their own myopic views. I wish the person concerned a speedy recovery, and wish all those with their own little axes to grind would just go and get a life. I did my 1st jump 6 weeks after my 16th birthday, and every day I understand how life changing that has been. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Yup, people should really be a TI and simply leave the camera to the outside flier. Then again, I've been saying that for 5 years and everyone has simply laughed. Its only a matter of time before we have a double fatal due to a handicam. You could ban tandems, that'll stop it. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    If you bring your own gear you'll need an AAD. Matamata is a good place on weekends but not too much going on during the week at this time of year. Mark is a good guy and will do all he can to help. Google skydivewaikato. There are 3 different licencing organisations so it's a bit of a clusterfuck re politics. I'd check with the individual DZs first to find out what their indivdual requirements. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    I jump Vector style gear and I tried - without success - to replicate the scenerio on the ground. One thing I did notice on my gear is that the '2nd' ring appears noticably smaller in comparison to the '1st' ring, compared to the rings in the photo. Could the ring sizes be changed to reduce the risk of this happening again? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
