"given the widspread ARGUS approval withdrawal, and the information we are recieving the NZPIA has today issued a safety directive withdrawing the approval for the ARGUS AAD for use in New Zealand. There are a number of issues that need to be answered and addressed before we can be satisfied that these units can operate to a level acceptable that they do not pose a serious safety concern if fitted to a parachute container. The Safety Directive wil be available on our web site www.nzpia.co.nz later today. As most of the major container manufacturers have now withdrawn the approval for these AADs this will just ensure that those minor container manufacturers will not slip through the holes" AADs are mandatory at all NZPIA affiliated DZs 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    http://gopro.com/support/hd-hero-firmware-update/ Got me screwed. I uploaded the firmware from this page and then my camera, and my mates camera, could shoot at 1fps. Didn't say anything on the instruction sheet but selected Pes and then P1 in the set up and voila. Hope this helps. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    For those of you who who use a Gopro for stills HC photos, if you have the HD model, you can upload some software from the Gopro website that allows you to shoot at 1photo per second rather than 1 every 2 seconds. Does not apply to the 960 model. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    If the reason you want to collapse it is to stop it 'flapping' you don't need to. Reach up with both hands, squeeze the front and rear risors together and give them a good shake. The slider will move up on the front risors, inflate and stop flapping. I do this a lot because the slider flap makes it a bitch to film under canopy with HC. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Can't help with switching off but I leave mine on and have no worries. Batteries last for at least a year and when I've been to other DZs it calibrates itself automatically. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    The upper airspace in NZ has been restricted due to the earthquake in Christchurch. The upper airspace of NZ is controlled from there. We have been asked where I work to not jump until Monday. I not sure what will apply elsewhere. I know that 1 of the people killed was an ATC controller. Sad day 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    My god, look out for the snag nazis. I suggest that we all get shrink-wrapped in rubber before we jump. It could be lubricated with KY jelly to ensure that everything slips off. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    And yet in another thread you are seeking info about downsizing to a 300 sq/ft canopy for better swooping on landing. If your profile details are correct you are either a troll or your ego is running way to far ahead of your abilities. Assuming the latter I think you should either pull your head in and go back to basics or alternatively get out of tandems before your ego drives you some unsuspecting punter into the ground. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
