    fixed it for ya I tend to watch week by week and when I can't keep up, I buy the season box set and watch it in 3 hour sets. Some 45 min episodes are amazing, but LOST usually needs a 3 episode arc to complete a tale. The airplane survivors are villans. Most of season 1 & 2 are spent finding thin lines of sympathy for characters that are all shades of grey. Lost has more depth than you may suspect. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

    I wanted to say this last night... Umberto Eco, Bertrand Russel and Socrates beat you to it before the 'internet' knew about it. Try reading up on "Semiotics". Also consider that any revolutionary idea you attribute to the internet from 1995 has probably been considered a few thousand years ago.... I knew my philosophy degree would come in handy some day...

    Liberty Island is the NPS Federal park in the Parachutist photo. at least according to GoogleEarth Ellis Island is about 2900' away from Liberty Island. Liberty State Park (the shore) is slightly closer. I don't think the state park falls under NPS jurisdiction. It would be cool to hear the story where they landed.

    This "strike" idea has no merit. For two reasons: 1: The strike organization doesn't give out the ratings. 2: The USPA gives out AFF ratings... etc ergo.... DUH! What business owner would hire an "experienced Instructor" from the union when the rank and file skydiver can get an instructor's rating from the USPA and go straight to work for the DZO? For this Idea to work, you would need to have all the I'E's in the sport on board. Is that going to happen? probably not.
