None of my cars have that open to the road below. Although, I do find it interesting that there would be enough room to lose it down a gap. Is the E-brake boot loose or missing? I would suggest taking it to a shop and have them fish it out of the car innards. I'm glad to hear you want to adopt her. I'll add my two cents in about moving; don't worry about it. I've had cats where every two or three years we moved across country, and they did just fine. (complements of Uncle Sam) As for your list of things she'll need, bring anything she has from her old home that is still with her--blankets, toys etc… It will help if she has something that is familiar during the initial move. With lots of love and attention (while establishing rules, IMMEDIATELY) it will soon feel like she's always been part of the family.

I bought that wrench a week ago. I've had a torque wrench with a pointer & scale on it that I've used for years, but it is a PITA always trying to find a position where I can get proper leverage AND keep my head in position to read the scale. I'm assuming your payments to your ex are interest free? If so, then you need to keep her on the monthly payment plan. Why pay her a lump sum if it's not costing you anything extra? Keep her on the payroll and make your money work for you in the meantime. I think you should keep, maybe, $2500 in liquid cash ('cause, we know you; you never know when you're going to need bail money ) and take the other $3000 and invest it.
